You can call them and make a reservation for 1-2 hour horseback rides, with some portions in the river. I chose to do a 1 hour ride with the river. The stables themselves are light and airy, with multiple horses. About 8 people to a group if you choose to go without a private package. They teach you a little basics about steering and then you're on your way. If you do the river ride make sure you wear shoes you don't mind getting wet. My horse went a bit to the right in the river where it was deeper and my feet got soaked. All good though. Guides are great and they love chatting. They will help take photos if you'd like as well. Highly recommend!

Just returned from a wonderful Fourth of July weekend in Franklin, NC with family and friends…read more Horseback riding was the grand finale before we made our way back to the Virgin Islands. Unfortunately, the trip wasn't without its bumps -- literally. On our very first day, one of our family members took a fall during the electric bike tour and was injured, which prevented her from participating in the rest of the scheduled activities -- including horseback riding. We were especially disappointed that the horseback riding company showed little to no empathy and refused to issue a refund, despite the circumstances being clearly explained. It was disheartening to experience that kind of rigidity during what was meant to be a joyful time. A heads-up to future riders: If you book with this company, make sure you have zero mishaps () -- or better yet, do what a few of the other couples we met did and book the same day. Wish we had done the same, instead of booking in advance and being locked in. Otherwise, Franklin was lovely, and the memories we made will still be cherished.

My horse seemed to have something wrong with its mouth. When we mounted, my horse was chewing on the bridle angrily. The guide instructed me not to pull on the reigns, but my horse kept getting to close to my daughters horse in front of me and making my daughters horse kick mine. I had no choice but to pull on the reigns a bit. The guide did say they have days off. But from what I've seen, they seemed tired and in pain. Their manes were full of tangles and burs. The trail was beautiful.
