Wow - so glad to have found this country road sandwich shop! We had spent the morning picking berries and wanted something to eat before the hour drive back home. This popped up in a search of the area and was highly recommended, so we gave it a shot. I knew it had to be good when I noticed the line of people waiting to order! There's to go salads and sides, fresh teas, convenience items like sodas and chips, and also a deli. They bake their breads fresh. There's probably a dozen sandwich options. In my two visits, I've ordered the spicy chicken and it has been nothing short of amazing. Fresh ingredients, huge portions and lots of flavor! They also have donuts and my favorite -old fashioned cream sticks. Service was very friendly and prices more than fair. Very small dining room with a few tables and a counter. We found ourselves in this neck of the woods and came to Yelp to find a good lunch spot as we were passing through. Horst Sandwich was the first suggestion and seemed to be a no brainer, with the number of reviews and the rating. We walked in and there was a line nearly to the door. I was a bit hesitant about the wait time but honestly, we were in line for all of five or six minutes. That's IT. This was not their first lunch rush and they handled it with speed and smiles. I went with another patrons recommendation of the spicy chicken wrap and was not disappointed. So much flavor, a good amount of heat and the veggies were super fresh. I appreciate the local vibe of this place. My friends have been telling me about it for a long time and I've driven past it several times, and had been wanting to stop. Finally made it here. They have a great selection of deli sandwiches and fresh unique sparkling fountain beverages. No sugar-free options for the beverages that I saw, but there were many choices. I had the tuna salad on a garden salad. The tuna salad mix was fairly sweet, which I didn't love, so I likely wouldn't get that again. I don't like any sort of potato, pasta, egg, or tuna salad with sugar added, but a lot of recipes tend to do that for some reason. My friend had the chicken salad croissant and she said it was delicious. I will indeed give this place another try. I will order something different. The breads and pastries looked so fresh and wonderful. Don't be intimidated by the line- it moves fast. read more

Wow! This place lives up to the 5 star rating. Excellent sandwich for a good price. I had the meat club with swiss. Outstanding! I really wish I lived here to be able to eat here often. Sandwich's are yummy. I tried the chicken salad sandwich on delicious rolls. The service was friendly and helpful. There was a line at lunchtime but went super quick. I asked a very nice gentleman what he recommended and he mentioned a few items. Which I thanked him for. When I went to pay found out he paid for my sandwich. He was gone before I could thank him. Friendly staff, clean store, fresh breads for sandwiches, big salads and cheeses. We are taking some sweets, cheeses and flavored popcorn home with us to Texas. Did not have it, but it looked and smelled like they have good pizzas. Everything is very reasonably priced. Also have scoop ice cream bar with many flavors. read more

A great place that serves amazing soup and subs along with other great food! I especially love their green pepper soup!

Saw this place while out on a bike ride and stopped in for breakfast. Breakfast sandwich was great. Highly recommend the croissant. Jamaican me crazy coffee was so good I bought a bag of ground coffee to take home. Not a lot of seating and it's a sandwich shop you order at one end pick up at the other. Very good especially if you're on the go. Definitely will go back when riding through town. read more

Well i've been there several times last couple times not so good I bought buns one week two weeks later they went from 4.00 to 6.99 seriously two week later?? pizza was gummy In the middle they had just taken it out of oven so it was just not cooked long enough had to pitch that the girl used the same machine to cut cheese as lunchmeat without wiping down I could go on but it is such a shame it was a great sandwich and soup place it's a a never ret place I won't be returning wasted to much money and food read more

The food is alright in my book, but they really need to put some effort in and fix there parking lot. It is a danger to everyone driving by. There parking lot has 150 feet that goes along the road (where people are going 45mph) so people are able to just fly out where ever they want when ever. I go past here multiple times a day everyday and at least once a day I almost get hit and my car emergency stops. They need to make it so there is one spot with a stop sign. So people actually stop and look. It is dangerous, and they do not care at all. read more

Thought it was just another sandwich shop. When we went through the doors I was blown away by how nice it was. And they had so much more than just sandwiches. Homemade donuts, pizza by the slice, unique sodas, some flavored popcorns. The sandwich counter is ran just like subway but with meat that doesn't look like it's going to poison you. I will be back.
