TERRIBLE SERVICE! Arrived 15 minutes before my appointment, luckily the dr office gives a 15 minute grace period. I called the driver 15 minutes prior to the ending of my dr appointment, no answer. So i called. No answer repeatly. driver then texted 5 minutes away. Never came. I called company mainline, they said driver is 2 minutes away. they never came! waited 4 hours. Office was starting to close and i had my 5 month old with me. luckily my fiancé worked nearby and was getting off and picked us up. i do not recommend them at all! They just don't care about their clients at all just the money that they make from insurances. I do not recommend ever using this company, the lady who answers the phone is very highly unprofessional and disrespectful. They made me late for my appointment and ordered me an uber instead of coming to get me. The uber didn't even show up until my appointment time and I missed my appointment because of them! I honestly think they need to hire drivers that are fluent in English. The Driver couldn't speak English. We were riding in a circle around my apartment complex. He was thinking I was yelling with him. I was getting frustrated because he took a long time to get me to my dialysis appointment. Me? Being on dialysis is a life-threatening matter. The first time I had the misfortune of having to use Horton Coles, (HC), they got me to my doctor's appointment 10 minutes late, and when I called for my return trip home, they told me it would be 1 1/2-2 hours before they could pick me up. Then today, July 17, 2025, again my transportation was scheduled with Horton Coles. My doctor's appointment was at 11 am, HC calls me at 10 am and tells me the driver will be here around 10:15-10:30 am, then 10 minutes later HC calls me back and says that the driver will be a little late and will arrive around 10:30-10:45 am. 10:45 am comes, around, and no driver. Call HC, they say they will call the driver to find out where he is and call me right back. Wait 15 minutes, it's now 11:00am, (my appointment time), and no call. Call HC, and they tell me to call my doctor and say I'll be a little late and the driver should be here in 10 minutes. Wait 15 minutes, no driver, call HC, get answering machine, "leave your name and number, and we'll get back to you ASAP. Horton Coles Transportation is a f**king joke. I am troubled and disappointed. I have used transportation services repeatedly for a long time. During that entire time, I have never been late or missed a pick-up. The services were reliable; I never experienced a problem. Unfortunately, this afternoon I had scheduled and confirmed a pick-up from Horton Coles through Motiv Care to make an appointment by 1:45 pm. At approx 12:45, I watched as a Horton Coles station wagon zipped by in the drive and did not stop to get me. Did he stop elsewhere for me? I was sitting outside waiting by the FRONT door since 12:30 that afternoon. If the driver had even paused- he could see me walking to the car. This is by far the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL and uncaring transportation company in the Detroit Metropolitan area. Last week Monday they called to confirm a scheduled ride for my mother early in the day. I verified that she was indeed needing transportation at 4pm. Horton Coles Transportation did not show up, did not call, did not answer my continuous calls, and then just start sending my calls straight to voice mail. Unfortunately, elderly mother missed her appointment. Then I recalled another time when they arrived super late to pick up my mother, and the doctor would not even see her because she arrived to the doctor's office 40 minutes after her appointed time. I have told the transportation scheduling service to PLEASE remove them from our transportation options list, because we have had two horrible experiences with Horton Coles Transportation. Well, my mother had a doctor's appointment today at 11 a.m. with a 10 a.m. scheduled pickup time. NO SHOW! I noticed I had a missed call at 9:30 a.m. so I called back and NO ANSWER. I kept calling up to 10 times and finally reached a lady (perhaps the owner) and she said the driver called, honked the horn, and waited outside my mother's house for 10 minutes. I asked, "Did the driver called from this number...your cellphone number??? So, you were the driver?" The lady changed her story and she called for the driver when they were outside. That was a lie, because my mother and sister were waiting outside. NO ONE CAME. I asked the lady for the name of the transportation company...she said HORTON COLES. I could not believe it. My father is a Vietnam veteran who recently had a stroke and needed to use this company transportation to go to his follow up appointment. They sent a driver that isn't trained to assist someone in a wheelchair. My father was strapped into his wheelchair, as the driver tried to take my father off the porch, he literally pushed my father forward off the porch injuring my father. Again, he was strapped into his wheelchair and with that being said the wheelchair was on top of my father flipped forward onto his shoulder. Which caused injury to his rotator cuff and bending his new wheelchair. I have called the insurance company to file a complaint and I have not heard back from this company nor his insurance company. The absolute most horrible transportation you can possibly get. They are NOT reliable whatsoever. They constantly wont ever show up then list you as a "no show" and cancel out your ride. It's a total scam and doubt they actually even have any drivers working at all in reality. They've constantly and consistently screwed Me over everytime they've been assigned to Me to the point I had it noted in My file to NEVER have them provide transportation services EVER again. Their scam is making ride reservations that they don't intend on ever actually providing just get insurance companies to contract with them then when you are waiting for your ride to show up they declare they stopp at your house and you were a no show then are able to simply just cancel the trip entirely on their end without the requirement of the patient to actually be who generally is the party who cancels a ride that becomes unnecessary etc although drivers can if you didn't also provide your end of the contract which is technically what it is then they're allowed to cancel it and then are tot free to say to your insurance company "hey We tried picking up your covered member so by the contract terms set forth We made Our best efforts to pick up your member with benefits under their plan policy held with you so We still need payment for having made the trip etc cuz we expended financial burden we took on in the understanding we would be completely compensated for our expenditures as well as for our time" which sounds wonderful except it's a complete lie cuz they never even attempted to pick you up in fact they ne had any intentions whatsoever to actually come by and pick you up to provide the transportation they made a contractHal agreement with various insurance companies and they basically are just grifters committing insurance fraud as a way to make a living. My so called supposed driver actually did Call Me on My 2nd time being already committed to being My transportation company provider for the secone day in a row but I was ready this time despite My pick up time being between 7:30am and 8:30am obviously she was extremely late so I quickly went in to pee briefly and of course that's the moment she attempted to contact Me however I knew full well nobo could have suddenly arrived in that brief of a time besides I sent her a text message saying if this is My driver for transportation today I'm ready and have been waiting for you please get back to Me asap and attempted to call her two separate times of course both calls going straight to voicemail and oh how convenient her voice mailbox is full so I can't leave a message even. But I had a little earlier contactEd the company phone which apparently is only a way to leave a message like a line that connects straight to an answering machine cuz it just asks you to leave a message with your details and someone will call you back shortly. Dec.7 2021, RE: My ride for my PCP 1:30pm Annual Physical appt.: At 12:30pm I was sitting in front of my window waiting for my ride with my phone turned on next to me. At 1:00pm I called MT (Molina Transportation) (1-88*-***-****) and spoke with Vicki. She contacted Dispatch, they will come back to pick me up (they were never here!). Ten minutes later I called and spoke with Vicki again, she said the driver will call me right now. I have call waiting, I waited five minutes and then called and spoke with a different girl who connected me to someone but after being on hold for seven minutes I hung up and called MT again, spoke with Vicki again, told her that my appt. was for 1:30pm and would now be way too late to make the appt. Gave her all the details including how Janay Coles (313-492-****) had called me and let it ring only one time just like on Oct. 26 and how I called that number back right away and a few different times and after many rings always got voice mail is full message. They should have (and would have) left a voice mail on my machine if they were here. Vicki told me that someone will call me back about my complaint on Dec. 13 between 2:00 2:30pm. I was using Lyft through my insurance and then it switched to this company. The first lady who drove me almost ran a red light, and had to back up from oncoming traffic. And yesterday. I was a half hour late for my appointment because they were late. No apology or anything. They tried telling me I was in a hard area to find. I'm at 19 and mound in sterling heights. Very. Easy. Then I had to wait over an hour for my ride to show up to pick me up from my appointment I was late for. I was almost late getting my son because of that. And again, I call at the hour Late mark and they say I'm in a "high traffic area" but I'm not. No apology. No estimated time other than "soon". The driver picked me up, didn't respond to me saying hello and proceeded to be on a personal phone call where he swore and used inappropriate language. And again no apology for any of it. I was never rude but very polite as I have severe anxiety with confrontation but I'm very unhappy. They are supposed to be here to pick me up today actually, at 11:30 they said. It's now 11:40. I hope today is not like yesterday. I understand things happen,but to not even apologize. My time matters too. I have things to do which is why my ride schedule is made the way it is. If I could give negative stars I would. Every other ride service I've used through insurance has never made me wait that long, nor made me late to my appointment time. I was approved for Michigan Medicaid about a year ago and they provide a ride service to and from doctor appointments for those who are without transportation. I have used this service many times already without a single problem until the ride service began assigning Horton Coles Transportation to provide my rides. Please believe me when I say that they are EXTREMELY inefficient. Twice they have not shown up on time to give me a ride to my appointment and each time they have been well over an hour late for my pre-scheduled return ride home. No other independent transportation contactor has ever been this late. This morning I made the extraordinary mistake of speaking on the phone with the person calling me to confirm that a driver would be at my home to pick me up this morning and telling her that my chiropractic appointment takes no more than 25 minutes but that Horton Coles drivers have been well over one hour late each time, and that my requested return trip time was 11:05 a.m. This woman only repeated several times that under my health care plan Horton Coles is allowed up to an hour to show up. She wouldn't listen to me about the lateness of the drivers. I should have never made waves with this woman BEFORE my appointment this morning because, although I do not have 100% proof that she was just being a spiteful person, my driver today never showed up at 11:05 a.m. but instead, 1 hour and 38 minutes later at 12:43 pm, the latest they have ever been. Maybe I should have said nothing to this woman because she really stuck it to me today.
