I had been coming here for an year now and can say with certainty that they are pretty good. I generally tend to get the outcome I am looking for with a few exceptions. Also ,I appreciate that they are OK with walk-ins and squeeze you in (it might require a little bit waiting) . The staff is nice and fast and prices are at par with others in the area. read more

I paid $100 ($86 and then tip) for a full set of acrylics and the tips started falling off less than 24 hours later! I would have gone back in the next day to have it fixed but I left that morning for a week long trip. I'm never going back here. read more

Booked an appointment to treat myself after the stress of moving, just a basic mani/pedi. Everything was good until the end, establishment is clean and well maintained, staff is friendly. However, while I was in the pedicure chair and halfway through the pedi, another tech came over and started my manicure. I looked around, it wasn't overly busy and there were open techs waiting for appointments or walk-ins. I would've been fine with it except not everything was done on the manicure, and it felt rushed and like they were trying to get my appointment over with. Within about 4 hours after my appointment the polish for both the mani/pedi started chipping pretty severely, so $60 down the drain. I may give them another shot but I'm not sure, it was a weird enough experience that I'm hesitant to go back. read more

Nancy did my nails and she was amazing! I needed a fill in and sometimes it's hard as a flight attendant to make the right choices when going to a new place but I must say this was a great decision! Nancy was quick and was able to help me pick my colors when I was u sure as I always am. But she made things quick and simple and I really appreciated that! Next time I'm in town I would love to go back and get more services from them. read more

I've been to this salon 3 times and each time had a different technician. All 3 provided a great pedicure with fantastic attention to detail. I am so happy to have found Hosanna! Was there on Friday. Haven't been in for awhile. The massage chairs are trashed with holes in the back. The one lady had my friend was distracted and rough. Actually poked her cuticle and now it hurts and is red. We put peroxide and antibiotics ointment on it. She will be calling in to formally complain. read more

Updating my review after months of coming here because my opinion has changed. Hosana is a cute salon and they are very clean. However, I feel like their work is often rushed, even if its not busy. I usually get my nails done every 2-3 weeks. It has been 2 weeks and 3 days since my last fill and I'm embarrassed to have these nails. One thumb didn't even last a week before it peeled, and the other began peeling yesterday. I've never had a set where the gel polish peeled off. Not sure what changed but it's definitely not worth the $66 (with tip) for a fill that didn't even last 2 weeks. They generally do good work, which is why the overall rating didn't drop much but I did want others to see that whatever changed did impact the quality. read more

I am sad to write a mediocre review. I will make it known that I have high expectations for nail care and I have not found a salon that I love in Vancouver. This is my second time to this location and it will be my last. I would love a recommendation from anybody that can send me a place with excellent attention to detail. If I am going to pay $75 for a basic mani/pedi (including tip) then I want the experience to last more than an hour. I had the deluxe pedicure and told the gal that I like a hard massage. I wear heels a lot so my feet need special care. Unfortunately, it felt like she was just rubbing lotion on. Ugh...I hate that! I had somebody different for my mani. She did not push back my cuticles. Instead she used a drill. I asked her not to, but she said that was the only way to get rid of my cuticles. Now I have digits in my nails...not happy! I was waiting to write this review to see if they improved the next time I went, unfortunately, they did not give me the opportunity to do so. I went to get a full set and pedicure on Nov.5. Lily, the person who did my pedicure was great! She was thorough and really kind (which is saying a lot since the nail tech was not). Nancy, the person who did my full set was very short and very rough. Instead of soaking off my nails, she tried to remove my previous set by plucking them off like they were press ons until I told her she was hurting me and then she decided to soak them. I wanted to get an ombré for my color. Nancy never asked me what I wanted for my art so when it was time to apply the gel coat, she told me that in order to get an ombré set I had to use a special powder. I informed her that I wish she would have ask what I wanted when I arrived because I would have told her. Nevertheless, she apologized so I let it go. At check out I set up another appointment to come back Nov.20th with the guy managing appointments. Nancy even told him to that it would be a fill in and I was coming back to get an ombré set. I noticed that I had not receive a confirmation text like the first time so I called. When I called, the person who answered the phone said they did not have my appointment scheduled. When I informed her that I booked my appointment to weeks ago, she said "oh well, it's not here and we are booked for today." It's bad enough the first time they didn't give me what I came for, but the apathy around giving away someone's appointment that booked in person two weeks ago is incredibly unprofessional. Perhaps they treat their other customers much better, but I am just incredibly disappointed to be treated so poorly, and I won't be returning. read more

So far I have been twice and have not been disappointed. I got the classic deluxe pedicure and manicure. Clean place, quiet ambiance, not ever crowded due to the reservations in place. Lots of color choices for gel/shellac, and they have a points/rewards system in place. My second visit I got 10 percent off, which is always a bonus. They have switched technicians on me mid way through the processes, but it hasn't had a bad end result. I'm assuming they had other appointments since I made mine with no preference of service provider. read more

This was my favorite place to get my nails done in the Portland area for consistency reasons (hence 3 stars). Unfortunately this is the last time I'll be coming back because of an issue I've had every single time I've had my nails done here - there is NO reason you need to have a show on the TV showing animals being caught and slaughtered IN A NAIL SALON. It's usually the same travel food guy's videos on YouTube being played where he's traveling around the world eating various meats and brains and such. Gross but tolerable enough for someone who doesn't eat meat to be subjected to for an hour. Today it was a new show that showed the process of slaughtering a live calf and pulling out its intestines to cook. It also showed them catching a live porcupine and preparing it to be cooked (I'll spare the details), which was really the last straw for me. WHY IS THIS ON THE TV IN A NAIL SALON??? Please for the love of GOD put something else on the TV - literally anything else - before you alienate more customers. See picture if you thought I was joking. read more

So I came in today to get my nails done. Full set as I normally do. I pay about 50-60 I get short nails. And French tips. They rang me out for 73!! Dollars. Then I started asking questions and they bumped it to 70$ and said ops miscalculation. That is how they scam people. Also I would understand if they did a good job. The girl was rushing; to take another client. Usually my appointment are 50-1hour long she finished me in 45 minutes. I'll just insert picture so you guys can see for yourself. It's a rip off. The place is clean, people that work here are pleasant. But the dip nails is unexceptional quality. My nails started chipping pretty much right away and by two week u can see the results. Another thing the nail technician did not do the nails close to cuticle so after two weeks my nails look like I've had them for 4 weeks. I attached the picture as well. read more

I would strongly discourage anyone from getting acrylics done here. They clearly didn't know what they were doing and I should have said something during my appointment but was too polite to do so. We were visiting friends out of state before an international trip and went in for a fill before we left the country. The first nail fell off in less than 24 hours. We rushed to find someplace to fix it at the Houston airport. They about died when they took Off the polish. They were worried I may contract a fungal infection and they tried to correct the work done in Vancouver. When I returned home I decided to remove my nails since they were a mess since visiting this salon. And guess what, I have a terrible nail fungus (pic attach, which I have never had before. I would also like to mention I came to the salon with two friends and it took hours to do what should have taken an hour. They over book and are understaffed with staff that don't know what they are doing. I came in on June 18th or 19th. read more

Hosanna is incredible! I came in with a picture of what I wanted and they were able to execute it almost better than what I originally wanted! They are very nice, courteous and patient with customer requests. I will be coming back again and again. I just had my nails done and they turned out beautiful :) I haven't had acrylics for a long time due to some bad experiences with technicians being so rough. I would be sore for a day or so after getting them done. Not this time! Nina was very careful and continually asked to let her know if there was any pain. Rude and weird experience: I went in for my appointment and…read moreimmediately got a not-so-nice vibe from my nail tech. I was finishing up a phone call when I walked in (not being loud at all, and quickly ended the call a minute or two after I came in), but as I sat down I got a rude look from my nail tech. I apologized immediately that I was on the phone, and it seemed to be fine after that...or so I thought. First note, it seemed pretty dirty. There was debris on the table from previous clients and no sanitation of tools being used. I was getting gel x, which I've gotten many times before. She was giving me the wrong size (too narrow) and I asked her if she could recheck the size on one of them. She said I was wrong and that this is the right size. I didn't want to argue so I let her do that. I was asked if I had a nail file halfway through the service. I thought that was strange, but I said I have some at home. She then asked if I wanted to buy one and I said I was alright because I already had one at home thinking she was meaning to take home with me, but nope. Apparently they charge customers for a nail file. She kept asking and I was very confused, so I ended up saying "I've never had to buy a nail file at a nail salon before" trying to clarify. She then gave attitude, rolled her eyes, and came back with one. We then got to the color. I picked a dark color, but after two coats it was still see-through. I opted for a third and it was still see-through. I pointed that out and she said it is bc we use the clear tips for gel-x so it will be see-through. I've had clear tips for gel-x before and have never ever had this problem, especially with a dark color. She said I could pick a different color and she placed the book on top of my hands (again with attitude). I pointed to an even darker color asking if that would be see-through too. Which she replied, "I don't know, they look different on different things". I just opted for a 4th coat hoping that maybe that would work; it didn't...they're still transparent, but I wanted to get out of there so I didn't complain. At the end, I was paying and asking for the name of who I was working with in case I had a friend who wanted to come by. She refused to give me her name and said "we don't have name tags"...even though you don't have name tags, you still have a name. I think she knew she was having attitude all night so she didn't want to be held accountable for it. After I got home, I went to check the reviews and can tell that they pad their reviews and make excuses for the lower ratings. I checked both yelp and Google. Google has significantly higher reviews (where I assume they pad their reviews) while yelp is in the 3 stars average. I was reading through lots and lots of reviews, especially the ones with replies from the company. Seems like all they do is make excuses and/or blame the customer and use "personal anecdotes" from their workers or "data" that has no credible source. I generally don't leave negative reviews, but this place warranted it. The only reason I gave it a two over a one was because one of the other nail techs seemed nice and she was their only saving grace.

Her name is Katrina. I told her what I wanted with length, shape and design and she delivered! She did such a good job and made sure to make everything even and did a wonderful job with the flower design I asked for. Will definitely be back! They have stamp cards so you get a stamp for every visit and eventually can save money on one of the services once the stamps are filled.

They rush me over to the nail area and the lady doing my nails is really unkind. I chalk it up to stress - and sit quietly. There's a dirty bandaid next to my hand she's working on. Not super clean here. She is aggressive on applying the fake nails, and finally she hands me a bunch of colors to pick from. So then I'm confused, and ask her if she was showed he photo. She says - yes, I can't do that. Pick something else. I would have NEVER gotten acrylic nails if it wasn't for wanting this specific design. I would have done my nails at home. Now it's 2.5 hours of being here and waiting around, more time wasted on applying these nails. She says that she'll "try" and copy a different design I show her and that it'll be $5 a nail (see photo below). I tell her I am not happy with this but at 3 hours I need to leave. I pay $100 + for something I did not want. I finished my nails at home with glitter. & within 3 hours in closed toe shoes, my pedicure chipped. Not coming back.
