What a fun, inexpensive way to spend an evening while supporting local theater!…read more Last night we enjoyed Fifth Row Center's production of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap presented at The Springs Church on Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch. This was my first Fifth Row Center experience and I have to say that I was quite impressed. This is wonderful community theater and we in the area should be supporting these events. The audience was small and the venue certainly was able to handle a larger crowd. The presentation is for several days so we hope more will attend. It did seem as though most of the audience was comprised of friends and family. Since I am not here to review the play, but the theater company itself, I will stay away from a play review....though we thoroughly enjoyed it! Fifth Row Center is located on Main St. in Flowery Branch where they have classes, rehearsals, etc. and welcome anyone to come in to audition. My only real complaint is the fact that there didn't seem to be too much advertising for this production. Unless we missed anything else, the only way we found out about this was a large sign posted at a nearby busy intersection. I never noticed any newspaper ads or anything else around town. Maybe I don't get out much or maybe it just wasn't there. At any rate, my suggestion would be to advertise the heck out of their productions in hopes of gaining loyal patrons. Our group certainly will now be regular attendees when the production interests us. Best of luck to Fifth Row Center. We hope the community will come out and support this endeavor and help keep it running.

Yet they invest ZERO effort in providing the tools their graduates can use to bridge into professional work. No film samples graduates can use in their audition work. This is a VERY basic portfolio development step that any real theatre program worth its salt should be making. But no one from the recently graduated classes has anything to show prospective casting directors of their work over the last four years. If you're contemplating sending your kid to GTA, think hard on that decision.

Normally there is an admission fee. Family day is the second Sunday of every month. My kids did a scavenger hunt, went through the exhibits, outside to the cabins, watched the live gun show, and enjoyed the family activities in the hall. The staff dressed up and were so fun and nice. My daughter enjoyed the lady who taught them a dance. We loved dressing up in clothes from the colonal times. Plenty of seating at their outdoor amphitheater. Exhibits have many interactive stations for kids. Our visit superceded my expectations. They have their own parking lot as well. Btw, I wasn't sure if they would be open because of the snow, so I sent a message on Instagram, not expecting a reply the day, but I got a reply in less than five minutes. I was over the moon. I was so hesitant to drive the hour while uncertain if they were going to be open or not, so that was a huge relief when I got a response! That's great representation!

Decent sound ( it was loud enough ) but couldn't hear what the singer was actually singing. I don't know if that is a band thing or a venue thing. The service was excellent, but we just purchased drinks. I have an issue with the bathroom. The stalls are so small in the women's bathroom that you have to STEP PAST the toilet to close the door. When you stand up after going, you have to back up to the side of the toilet to open the stall door. So uncomfortable! And THEN, wash your hands and there is no paper anywhere near the sinks! You have to walk to the door to get paper to dry your hands. So if you had to put your purse in between your knees to wash your hands, you will have to grab your purse with wet hands to get over to the towels to dry your hands.

I don't want to spoil too much of the museum other than to say if you like roadside attractions, circus sideshow, taxidermy, pop and folk art, oddities and good old fashioned curiosities then you have found your Mecca. Take your time and look up high and way down low because the museum is packed with items! Take a second or third lap around the museum and you will continue to discover amazing things you missed the first couple of times. Inside the museum they have even more staff who are friendly and filled with knowledge of you have any questions about anything in the collection from the history of some of the artifacts down to how the museum acquired the pieces: if I lived locally it would be a blast to volunteer here as it's truly a one of a kind place. And to top it all off this museum costs only $10 admission!!! What a value in an age where everything is overpriced or you pay $25 for a roadside attraction that only takes 20 minutes to see the whole thing. I could've spent hours here and I have no doubt they wouldn't have minded at all. They even invited us back that evening for an art show and were offering free beer and wine and stamped our hands so we could enjoy the museum in the evening if we chose to attend. It was so nice of them. I would be doing a disservice if I failed to hype up the gift shop. Buy weird stuff said the sign outside and I certainly did!! Rainy Day Revival has been around I think since 2018 with a shop previously in L5P and about two years ago combined the store, their prop rental side of the business and added this incredible museum all under one roof. They sell so many interesting items but what I like the most is many items are sourced from local artists so you bring home cool items and support local artists at the same time and that's a huge win in my book. I'll be stopping by any time I'm visiting Atlanta and you should as well!!

It also has a mini swing set and slide which was perfect for our almost 2 year old. They also offer water, soft drinks and some snacks for purchase. Definitely bring a sunhat and sunscreen when going on a sunny day. Also the ground can be wet so stick with closed toe shoes too. Tip: check their Facebook page to see if they are open before heading out as they may not open due to over picking.

Easy parking and inside the store we were ok with the quart sized box. The friendly folks reminded us to bend the long branches to get at the top for larger and juiciest blueberries. We see families enjoying their time at the Cool Springs Blueberry Farm. The picking was a bit of an exercise as the blueberry plants were in rows on grassy and sloping grounds. The container is filled, and we are taking ours home. We were glad we came.

The rehearsal at the end of the season really blew me away..mrs. Cathy, Eden, and Paige (and all the other students and teachers) really put a lot of heart and soul into putting on a top notch entertaining show full of young talent.
