This is a VERY basic portfolio development step that any real theatre program worth its salt should be making. But no one from the recently graduated classes has anything to show prospective casting directors of their work over the last four years. If you're contemplating sending your kid to GTA, think hard on that decision.

It also contains a small but interesting museum about the City of Buford which is free but does accept donations. The theater has comfortable seats and there are no obstructions! All seats have a great view of the stage area. This is a great place for meetup groups, Red Hat Society events, or just plain couples or singles going out. The staff are extremely friendly. I took a bottle or two with me and the team member was kind enough to allow a small taste before committing. All the wines I tasted were wonderful. There is indoor and outdoor seating. And have you ever tried to teach a 3 YO a 2.5 minute dance? Of course the teacher had to lead the kids on stage. Did this parent expect their child to be ready for the New York City Ballet? I've spent a significant amount of time there and would be extremely surprised if anyone was treated without kindness and respect. They took measurements and photos during class time that we paid for, which is a conflict of interests at best and a disservice to my child who came ready to dance and ended up sitting by the wall for an hour, only to find that the pictures were of such poor quality that we will how have to take our own time and additional money to have them re-made. When you go into dance with your child, you have to expect that it will be expensive, but this place is a money pit and you definitely do not get what you pay for.

My son is currently in the Theater Fundamentals class, and he loves it! His coach, Maddie, has been very encouraging and supportive from what he tells me. The Actors Scene in Buford, Ga has become my vehicle to transport to these now quite tangible lands. They have incredible classes (I'm taking the Tuesday night Basic Actor with the talented Coach Sanna), exhilarating workshops ( I'm excited about the upcoming Improv workshop), and an incredibly friendly staff. I've been taking classes for about 3 months and in that short time, I feel myself approaching that once distant dream. I highly recommend The Actor's scene in Buford for all your classes, trainings, tapings and coaching needs.
