The backdrop to this venue is Lake Lanier Itself. The lake was busy this weekend. Several boaters dropped anchor near the venue to listen the the music. I am not sure what the capacity is for this place. You sit in reclined chairs that are positioned starting from the concession areas leading down to the stage. The chairs are on a terraced lawn. The breeze coming off of the lake is refreshing. The sound is very good. When I arrived I expected this to be loud and filled with echoes. However, the sound was directed well and not dispersed. After all it is an outdoor venue. We went to the Shamrock Festival. This event lasted around twelve hours. We had a good time. I enjoyed all the bands especially Departure and Back in Black. It is a straight shot off of 985 going towards Lake Lanier. Take the First right at the round a bout. 57/100

We were literally the only folks there. I mean it is a weekday but still I was surprised at how little people there were. That's not a big deal bc we get undisturbed karaoke time. We went into our rooms and I just felt like it was really worn down. The karaoke machine/remote was slow/laggy, the room had a weird smell and there was definitely no AC in the room. I think the AC was probably because there was no one else there. But I mean it does have the basics -- it has all the songs you need, it gives you a sense of privacy and most of all - their food is always on point. We didn't order food this time but there garlic wings are some of the best in the game. We did order a beer and the owner gave us some Chex Mix to munch on which was nice, but I just felt that the entire place could use a little love/renovation. Will I be back? We were charged significantly more than the rates advertised on their Instagram page, as shown in the image attached. We had 10 people in our group and we went on a Thursday. This meant we should have been put in a small room (10-13 people) and charged $40 an hour. They did not inform us what size room we were in, and they claimed we were in a large room (30 people), so they charged us $80 an hour, which is double what we should have paid. Therefore, I asked to see a small room, and it was the same size as the one we were in. All 10 of my friends and I fit in our room well, with little leg space, and a large room was supposed to hold 30 people. Therefore, we knew there was no way we had a large room, which is what the host claimed. After some communicating, the host changed his argument and said we got a medium room, so I requested to see another medium room, and it was slightly larger than the room we were in. Then the host proceeded to say that a medium room is $80 and hour and a large room is $100 and hour, so we showed him the rates online, which THEY posted on THEIR OWN Instagram page. After going back and forth a bit, the host kept claiming we were in a medium room, and we just unfortunately paid that fee knowing what kind of business and person they are. It was very upsetting because we purchased $240 worth of drinks, and we did not think they would try to get more money from us. Businesses should either honor their advertised prices or clearly communicate any changes before customers are charged. I had to request for my receipt, so please ensure you print your receipt for evidence, know what room size you are in, and have knowledge on their rates if you still plan to go.

Unfortunately it was a rainy evening so everything was soaked, but we weren't going to let that ruin our 1 hour drive to see Tom Keifer. The venue is VERY small. Not sure of the capacity, but I will say that the best places to sit is in the center even if you are in the last row. We were seated stage right 2nd row and couldn't really see anything thanks to the pillars at the front of the stage and also the equipment blocking the view. Word of warning.....I was initially bummed I couldn't get Row 1 when I searched for tickets...when I got there, I was ecstatic I didn't get Row 1. I would be so upset if I paid for front row seats and had to essentially sit on the ground. Row 1 had to sit on the wet ground...it was the ledge/wall type thing with fake grass and brick. Row 2 was the first row with actual seats. It appears that all of the sections are this way. 1 row no chairs (sit on the ground) 1 row chairs, then repeat. The good part is the money spent there goes to the school. So that's awesome. The other good part is the bathrooms! there's no line and they are much bigger than you would expect, they are clean AND it's air conditioned. Concession ladies weren't the nicest. Before the show was over (even before the last song prior to the encore started), I went up to buy a water and was told they were closed. They are losing a lot of money by turning it away that early. I didn't sit VIP, but glad I didn't. The website describes the "Suites" as something awesome....What it actually is, is a tailgating tent for each "Suite" with a high top table and chairs, a bucket of bud light type beer, and a buffet setup across the way catered by Golden Corral. There's no fans, no AC, not indoors...not what one expects to receive for that kind of money. Over all the venue is just ok - It's very nice and new from a looks perspective, but not very professionally handled. It's nice in theory, but needs work. Oh right..the show - it started over half an hour late and then there were amp issues the whole night. Not sure I would go back here.
