Instead of making the process smoother, every interaction felt unnecessarily difficult and stressful. What bothered me most were the judgmental comments she made, which were completely inappropriate in a medical office. As a patient already dealing with the anxiety and uncertainty that can come with seeing a cardiologist, compassion and professionalism are incredibly important. Unfortunately, I felt neither. Every phone call and visit left me feeling more stressed than reassured. Rather than helping resolve issues, I felt like I encountered unnecessary obstacles at every step. The front desk is the first point of contact for patients, and the way people are treated there can have a huge impact on their overall experience. First off, the staff is very friendly, as you feel the warmth-- the minute you step foot to the office. Warm greeting with a smile-- that is my place-- because my running nose or my high blood pressure already got an assuaging remedy before the much needed medical one. This place also makes great accommodations. I work in the valley and because of the long commute, I get to my appointments around 6pm when they are about to close and go home. Arsine and David are so efficient and professional, great nursing staff. Dr. Baltayan is a delight to see and deal with in addition to being a great doctor. Her knowledge is astounding, diagnosis is always on point. She is very humble for a doctor, which makes communication comfortable. I have had other family doctors, who would see me for couple of minutes and move on to the next patient. But in this Office, the doctor listens to you and after diagnosing you, asks if you have any further questions and answers you questions. You are not just a number to them but you become part of the great family Dr. Baltayan and her great staff care for and treat without discrimination to race, creed or color of skin. The cherry on the cake is, when I walk in there, I see patients from all walks of life and races -- a true representation of our multi-cultured community. When I went in and sat down for an ECG, two nurses argued over the correct procedure, and took a second reading. I wondered if either one of them knew what they were doing. Then one of the nurses gave me a copy of one of the readings. So I asked if I could talk to the doc about what all the lines mean. She said 'no,' he was seeing other patients. I felt lied to. The practice has become overly automated, making it extremely difficult to get in touch with staff or the doctor directly. Their website, which previously allowed messaging and appointment scheduling, has not been functioning for months. On several occasions I have had to go to the ER or urgent care simply because I could not reach my primary care doctor--who is supposed to be the first point of contact. When Dr. Emil was overseeing everything, the service was excellent; he is a great doctor. However, without proper access and communication, the quality of care is lost. I have since switched to another provider who is actually available to answer a call when needed. I hope this office can resolve these issues and return to the professional standard they once had, rather than continuing the current trend of being unavailable and overcapacity.
