Yes! Yes! Yes! From friendly service to perfect drinks and fulfilling breakfast in density and flavor. We opted to go inside the cafe to order our take out breakfast. Seems like they may be working on the interior a bit, but it wasn't distracting. We were immediately greeted by a gal in the back. She kindly offered her recommendations when asked and was helpful in explaining ingredients and flavors. We ordered the $14 BB Burrito; eggs, bacon and cheddar - no skimping on this fatty breakfast burrito! Also got the $3.50 single slice avocado toast and added hard boiled eggs for an extra $1.50, def worth it. Don't be fooled by its appearance, so much flavor and deliciousness! The single slice was perfect for me, I loved the garlic, salt and pepper seasonings and sourdough. Aside from the traditional coffee drinks, they have smoothies and blenders. We got the Mango smoothie, smallest size is 16oz. Vanilla Chai tea latte with almond milk, so much yum! So glad we ventured 7 minutes off our route to check Hot Java Cafe out!

Islander and PNW breakfast burritos

Never wished I lived in Bremerton until now! Just so I could be a regular here :) We stopped by here after picking up some plants at a nearby nursery and oh man, I haven't stopped thinking about the breakfast sandwiches here. First, they serve them all day. Like, I'm already in love. Second, they're delicious, made to order and DELICIOUS! We had the Islander (give me all the spam), the PNW and the croissant breakfast sandwich. So freaking good. I didn't even get a good photo of the croissant one b/c my 2 and 4 year olds devoured it so quickly. We also had their coffee and tried the special of that week - butterscotch latte. Super yummy. Plus they made my kids kid temperature hot chocolates, which I always appreciate. The lady working was so nice, they have a drive up window (which I walked up to?? Why did I think it was an outdoor ordering window b/c COVID, haha) Plus indoor and outdoor seating. 100/10 definitely need to come back here again.

Lots of variety and flavors. Plus, the baristas were very friendly and accommodating.

Great tasting food - we got the breakfast burritos and they were hearty and had great flavor. This is a good place for families as there is room for the kids and plenty of choices.

We have always enjoyed the coffee at Hot Java and the people. Today we took advantage of indoor seating and ordered up some breakfast. We had a couple different croissants, one with sausage and one with bacon. The scrambled eggs were plentiful and fluffy. Flavorful cheese and really good flaky croissants. The burrito was packed with flavor and the grilled cheese was cheesy and crunchy but soft and gooey at same time. And yes, the coffee is really good too. Latte's are done well and priced right. The only tough part is parking but food and drink make it so worth it.

Cheyenne, Sophia, and Dede made my morning! They're so friendly and chatted with me while they made my coffee. We were cracking up so much I almost forgot to order. The coffee was lovely, too! I got the special and it was ‍ delicious! They were very fast, as well. Thanks guys!

Everything about this cafe is stellar! Got the Westender Croissant sandwich and it was great.

It was a great surprise to see a new indie cafe right by the bridge roundabout (12/12/25). Tiny parking lot and adjacent street parking were all full, thankfully I found a spot around the corner instead. This has outdoor seating with a great waterfront view of Sinclair Inlet, as well as, indoor seating with decent natural light. There's wrap around window seating, plus cozy couch and banquette area. The decor is pleasant with merch interspersed with art work/prints, healthy foliage, and festive touches for the holidays. Welcoming owner, I believe, at the main counter who took my beverage order. Pastries are from Macrina and coffee beans from Olympia Coffee. Aside from the usual coffee/tea bevs, there's also other food items like overnight oatmeal, breakfast burritos, smoothies, gelato, and mocktails. The barista who crafted my 16oz mocha did a fantastic job. Nicely balanced flavor wise and perfect temperature which was greatly appreciated. Most indie coffee spots are drive throughs along my route. One I had frequented on Wheaton Way had relocated and now closed. Another one I enjoy is located in the Charleston neighborhood on Callow, so it's good to add Vim & Vigor to my rotation when I'm across the sound in Bremerton.

But now they've moved to some new secret location and they're never open. I'm a businessman and I'd like to make money, and I want to be successful. So I'm confused as to why Cafe Kai is never open anymore? Don't they want to be successful in making a profit? You would think that if you move to a new location, you'd want people to find where you are located, and you'd want to be open long enough to sell some product. Cafe Kai's food is very good but their location is terrible and their hours are horrendous. I certainly hope the owners at Café Kai will read this review and maybe they'll pull the heads out of their rear end and stay open longer and perhaps make a couple of signs showing the secret hideout where they have moved. We hope they will change course stay open longer so that we can find them. OK guys ball balls in your court.

I had a strange and extremely unpleasant interaction with a blonde female bartender at the Outpost…read more I should have turned and walked back out when she took 5 minutes to recognize my existence in a 10x10 room. She did not say anything rude but her tone was hostile. I ordered an orange juice to go. She pulls a tiny 8 oz. Cup and I stop her, because I want more than a juice box size amount of juice! I'm six feet tall and it's incredibly hot outside. I ask for a larger cup and she slams down the 8 oz. And grabs a 16 oz. Cup reluctantly. So I'm thinking the problem is solved, I'm now getting a regular drink, 16 ounces is what's considered a small or medium at most restaurants. She has the audacity to fill the 16 oz. Cup HALF FULL then just stare at me and say in a dead-pan voice "four dollars" I stared at her for a bit and asked why she did that. She said drinks are usually 8oz. Ok, thank you for explaining that to me AFTER INSULTING ME. Clearly I'm trying to get an adult sized drink, work with me here. If it's usually 8oz then charge me double for the 16 oz. but don't you dare disrespect me. The orange juice was very old and sour and I had to toss it. What a complete waste of time, money, and energy. As I left I said "thank you" and the blonde bartender turned her back to me and said "you're welcome" with as much venom as she could inflect. Please please please remember, your customers have lives too. I'm literally just trying to control my blood sugar.

My boyfriend got their London fog while I got their matcha latte. As we waited, we took a look around and I loved the cute Halloween decorations they had as there was stuff hanging or placed neatly, nothing overly done or cluttered. They had a jar of dog treats and a bowl of candies. They also had a huge dog water bowl outside their establishment! There were a few people inside either on their laptops or chatting with others. They also had music playing at the perfect volume where you can still hear other noises but not too quiet where you can hear everything. We received our drinks quickly as we were the only ones who ordered and the drinks were delightful! We also really liked their logo on the cups but sadly some of the crow's head isn't all there.
