It was a treat yo self day and I usually don't give in to up selling, but I've heard good things about the dip nail thing so I tried it.... NEVER GOING BACK IF I CAN AFFORD IT. It looks and feels so nice and is much faster! I can't remember her name, I'll update when I go back, (cos I'm definitely going back) but she did an EXCELLENT job. There's also a little 4 yr old girl who is PRECIOUS and helped me pick out my colors, I knew I wanted blue and pink, but she helped me pick which ones (she even asked me if I wanted gel instead of regular polish. She's gonna own the place someday cos I did pick out regular polish first and a dang 4 year old up old me). I helped her play a phone game and she also picked out my toenail colors (pink and purple). Never going anywhere else. Even if it's only to hang out with the little lady. We're bffs now. read more

I typically stop at this nail shop, when I don't have time to go to my typical shop. There is usually hardly anyone there so you can get in pretty quick. I stopped in to repair one toenail I chipped. I got my nails done (gel) last Sunday. So less than a week. The wife/owner was attending to someone (nails) and the husband/owner was sitting in a pedicure chair watching anime on his phone. He usually services guest as well so it was odd when he told me to wait for his wife. The wife/owner asked what happened and she said I have a chip I need repaired. They obviously are not too happy I walked in at 6:40pm and they close at 7pm BUT it literally will take 5 mins to file, and repaint. So it is now 6:56 and she just finished with the other client. She just painted it, placed it under the dryer and I'm done at 6:58. What was so hard for the husband to do the same. Service people service!!!!!!!!! Thao does an excellent job on my nails. Her and her husband work really hard to create a friendly and welcoming environment. I started taking my Mom there a few years ago and we both still go regularly. The salon has moved to a spot just off Airport Blvd and is no longer off Manor. I highly recommend checking them out. I am in love with my nails, you guys! This was by far the best experience I've ever had when getting my nails done! I can't stop looking at my nails because they are so beautiful, but my experience was amazing too! Thao is the absolute sweetest and she helped me pick the best color! I recently discovered Hot Nails on my way home from work! The owners are really kind people who are talented at doing nails. The environment is always welcoming, and I have never had to wait long on a walk-in appointment. Toni is very detail orientated and always does a fabulous job on my pedicure. The salon is also very clean- which is something I really care about. The prices are also incredibly reasonable, and a great mani pedi doesn't break the bank. read more

This great place I found in Austin (I'm a Fort Worth resident) was wonderful. It is family owned. I waited for the guest before me to finish up, but I was able to walk in. She was super kind. It looked like one of the colors i chose had gone bad, so I settled for a slightly different shade. I'm sure she went to replace it later. I believe it was the antique purple color that looked off. I was very pleased with my nails regardless. I have attached a picture, and it's been a bit over a week since I got them done so they've seen a bit since then She gave me a little discount for coming in from out of town but I just tipped the difference and then some lovely family and I hope I can see her again if I'm in town! read more

I wanted to like this place, I really did. I'm in the neighborhood all the time. They do $7 brow waxes. There was so much potential for a beautiful relationship. Alas, it appears that we won't be making it past the first date. My brows are really uneven - one is easily 30% thinner than the other. It was kind of grimy inside. Good basic no frills nail salon for a decent price. Owners are friendly and talkative which made for a pleasant trip. They have an adorable little girl who was a delight to chat with while I got my nails done. Current owners have owned the place 4 years so disregard any posts older than that. The place is straight up dirty. I went to get some eyelash extensions here because a friend recommended it. No appointment needed. It was cheap-$20 but I don't think I'm coming here again. It wasn't worth the cheap price because the eyelashes looked nice from a distance but there was glue stuck onto them after it was over. The work space was also terribly unkempt and I felt gross laying on their old towels for the eyelashes. read more

I wish giving no stars was an option. I am currently sitting in their parking lot, fuming from one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had... I decided to try a new place closer to home and I saw this place had good reviews. First impression when I walked in? Completely filthy. Absolutely disgusting. In retrospect, this was a perfect indicator of how my visit would be, but their prices were good so I figured I'd give it a chance. The woman proceeds to take about 15 minutes to soak my gel manicure off. I politely asked her why so long, she explained to me that it was easier to take off that way. I saw her point and explained that I had never seen it done that way but that I saw her point. She then trimmed one of my nails way too short to the point where it was on the verge of painful. I, still being understanding, made no complaint and just asked her to straighten it out as best she could. I showed her a picture of nail art featuring small hearts. She said she could do it and then proceeded to unskillfully blob on to my nails, shapes that looked nothing like hearts. They were not good. She asked if I liked them.. I'd never seen anything like that in a nail salon. I did not want to be rude (I'm in the service industry and I always try to be kind) & I felt uncomfortable but as politely as possible I asked if she could take it off and just do plain pink nails because I didn't like it and it didn't look like hearts. She complies. She finishes that up and there is a big, noticeable bubble in one of my nails.. Probably nail debris b/c all their tools are covered in filth. I'm pretty frustrated at this point but I honestly feel bad for her and just want to get out of there but I don't want to pay hard earned money for something that looks way worse than LITERALLY any manicure I've ever purchased. I politely ask her if she can fix it. She says she can and... Here's the kicker.. As she is repairing the damage she did, she has the audacity to start telling me that she knows what she is doing and that I don't have to be judgemental and act like she doesn't know what she's doing. She berated me for questioning her about the time it takes to take gel polish off. I , in shock, tried to reason with her and ask what she was talking about, that I said nothing rude and she says "You don't have to say anything, it's your vibe". :o... My vibe. I maybe could have taken the scolding if she had done a good job but she did such a poor job it made the whole thing even more ridiculous. I was so uncomfortable with the situation I said I was leaving to go get it fixed elsewhere and she insisted I pay for this butcher job. She was so wildly inappropriate even her coworker kept telling her to be quiet. This is literally unlike anything I've ever experienced in a customer setting. I love Hot Nails! I only receive two services here: pedicure and brow wax. The owner gives great pedi. His technique is rough but thorough, and he has a knack for callous removal. Small staff, you might wait a while. Gets real busy Thursday afternoons through Saturday. $8.00 brow wax. I like the owners. Staff of only three or four. It may not look clean, but the pedicure area is sanitary and the staff appear to adhere to sanitation procedures. Wax room is a different story but I am always pleased with their work. read more

I got lash extensions here. They used extremely to much glue. I couldn't take them off my self due to them being super hard. I went to the shop to see if they would take them off and they wouldn't take them off unless I got a new set. Mind you my eyes are swollen and very irritating. I will never go back to this place again. read more
