Visited Metrotown Hot Topic again recently with my granddaughter, cuz it's one of her favourite stores. Very hard to find anywhere else in Vancouver the cool clothing, jewellery, buttons, etc., on offer, so we make the long trek on buses/skytrain/walking to get there.
Exceptional friendly, patient, helpful service from Tyler (Thank you, Tyler!), who went out of his way to find the right T-shirt we were looking for. He could easily have not bothered, but he knew they had one and he made the effort to get it for her. Yes!

The shop is chock-a-block with band, anime and tv-show related shirts and so much more. Interesting clothing available nowhere else (at least not that I know of). So many shops for teenagers (BM comes to mind) are full of bland, colourless, lifeless boring clothing. Hot Topic has what might be termed "alternative" clothing, meaning style, colour and uniqueness.
This is where we go when gdaughter wants something new. Her other option is thrift stores. When it's hard to find something unique and a bit unusual (from the normal bland, I mean), Hot Topic is the place. read more
