He said that even if the owner, Jim, didn't carry or have what I was looking for, that he would give me the best info on which bike to purchase. Once I arrived at The Bike Lab, I realized I knew the owner Jim from when I was in 6th grade playing hockey. He was an older high school kid and gave me advice on how to properly tie my skates....which I still do to this day. I told Jim what I was looking for in a bike, the type of riding I'd be doing and the level of rider I am. He happened to have what I was looking for in my size by Brand that he carried. The bike had everything I wanted and was at a price point better then the other brands I was considering. I purchased the bike on the spot knowing that availability is still slim. Jim helped me fit my bike and even adjusted the clips on my shoes by looking at the way I walked. He was very helpful and knowledgeable, as I remembered as a kid. Also, his two shop dogs came out from the lounge to say hi. If you are a new rider or looking for a place to purchase or service your bike...go visit The Bike Lab

I was told that they 'do not repair bike's sold at Target or Walmart because of the quality (price) of the bicycle. The bike was not cheap. I understand his reasoning but their attitude, suggesting that I was cheap by not purchasing my young grandson of 11, a "Cadillac" bike. A simple no, replying that could not repair that bike d/t inability to obtain parts or lack of familiarity of the make would have sufficed. No customer service!
