It's hard to find great Chinese food in this area but Hot Wok nailed it!! Their food treated just like NY Chinese take out food. Great job!

We purchased only soup and fried rice. They were both delicious and very tasty. My only complaint was that won ton special soup for 2 only had 2 wontons. Where i come from they usually load up the container. The broth and the vegies and pork were very tasty! read more

The best hot and sour soup I've had outside of Asia and California. Service was very fast and accomodating though not full service. Had to retrieve my own Coke, no tea. My Kung Po was excellent, pork fried rice was decent. Boyfriend had the Triple Delight which he enjoyed but wanted it spicier. Portions were good. Prices ok. Good selection. Very mediocre experience for us sorry to say. Not terrible but just not a positive dining experience. Ordered boneless spare ribs and it was small pieces of pork drenched in BBQ sauce. The entries were very ordinary. Fried rice was tasteless, and eggless. Service was friendly. Probably will not return. I'm new to the area and there has to be much better than this. read more

This is literally the best Chinese food I've ever eaten. I got general Tso's chicken with veggie fried rice and a few other things. You can tell the vegetables were fresh- they still had a slight crunch to them. It was perfection. I will be telling everyone and anyone to check them out. read more

I've been searching for some good Chinese and I haven't had a lot of luck . In the 16 yrs. we've been here only two places that I've tried were worth going back to , and it's mostly for takeout. Well I have found another place worth a return visit and maybe even as a eat-in night as well. The menu is very extensive and the variety is surprisingly good. Most Chinese restaurants are cookie cutter and this menu has some differences. We tried ordered via their online system but it wasn't totally operational at the time so a phone call finished the deal. We ordered a few items like a test list of items we use to see if it's a keeper place. Pork egg rolls were very good, pot stickers were also good. Egg foo young, excellent, boneless ribs a little less candied than most, but good. Krab rangoons were like we like them the triangle turnover shape and they were loaded with filling, yummy. The big test for me is the fried rice, to me it's the center piece of Chinese and it wasn't quite up to my standard, don't misunderstand, it was good but not great. Great fried rice has oinions, peas, carrots, bean sprouts, and a must, egg ! The last two ingredients are very important in my idea of fried rice. The meat of the fried rice is personal choice but the base is as I described. So in conclusion HotWok is one of the better Chinese restaurants I've been to around here and will be returning in the future for more testing, lol, we do enjoy our testing, and maybe they may step up the fried rice because the other items we've sampled were good. Excellent Chinese food. The food is fresh and well prepared. The restaurant is very clean and special precautions were made to avoid contact with take out customers. The shrimp with mixed vegetables was prepared with large fresh jumbo shrimp, better than a seafood market! Excellent fried rice, lo mein, ribs, fried shrimp and some lighter steamed dishes. I read a lot of good reviews and I've been looking for a good Chinese restaurant for a long time. Take Out only right now. They have plexiglass from counter to ceiling and even devised a plexiglass draw to pay and a window for no contact service. We ordered Szechuan pork, Moo Sho Pork, wonton soup and egg rolls. Today we went here based on the reviews on your page. All I can say it must be his relatives or the owner who is writing the reviews. This was the worst Chinese? Food I have ever tasted. The won ton soup was cold and had two blobs of dough floating in it, the rice was cold and old, the spring roll was dark brown and floating in grease, the beef broccoli was floating in some oil and Gen. Toas chicken was horrible, even the fortune cookie was bad. The serve was very brusque and in friendly. Needless to say I would never go back. Had to come home and brush my teeth to get the taste out of my mouth. read more

The Stuart, Jensen Beach area was lacking in good Chinese restaurants, then about 6 months ago along comes Hot Wok. There is no doubt that they have the best food, best chef, and friendly service with big smiles. The kitchen is in plain view so you can see your food being prepared if you so choose. This has to be one of the best Chinese Food Restaurants I have eaten at ever! The food had the perfect amount of flavor and so fresh. We had wonton egg drop soup to start; wontons were the best... definitely homemade. Dinner portions were large; I ordered Cashew Chicken and my husband had Orange Beef, both amazing! Totally disappointed and not pleased at all with the food. I have eaten at several Chinese takeouts and restaurants before. This was my second time at Hot Wok. The first time was awful as well. I wanted to give it a second chance. What a mistake. I ordered General Tso's shrimp. In most good Chinese Restaurants the shrimp is not coated with 98% breaded material. I could not find the shrimp. After digging around a found shrimp the size of a fingernail. You have got to be kidding me. Most good Chinese Restaurants put shrimp the size of half dollar without hiding the shrimp with breaded coating. Absolutely disgusting. I will never go there again, never. read more

This place must be run by new owners. I have eaten Chinese food all over the world for more than 50 years and I have to tell you that this food was the absolute worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. The menu says Grand Opening so it much be under new owners. Sorry to say if I could give it zero stars I would. I'm sure others will be agreeing with me soon. I'm definitely a fan of Hot Wok. I first ordered from them within weeks of their opening and was so happy to finally have some good Chinese food in Jensen Beach. I've ordered from them about ten times so far and have always been, for the most part, very pleased with the quality and the price. Their online ordering ability is great and the restaurant itself is very clean. I do have to say, however, that we're starting notice an abundance of very small pieces of battered chicken on the bottom of our combos that seem to be used as fill. These pieces should probably not be served. I would recommend more consistency in the size of the pieces used as it's been a bit disappointing on our last couple of orders. Based on the great reviews, I gave it a try. Sorry I minimized the less than stellar reviews in my decision. It is not good, it is a long way from great, and never even thought about being wonderful. I got the Combo dinner to go, and the soupy Szechuan Chicken was in the same container as the fried rice. Come on, pop for separate containers. Egg Roll was the same as I have had from numerous other take out locales. Wonton soup, same same. Bottom line, I could have bought frozen from the grocery and done as well. Nothing special or even encouraging for another visit. Starving so I ate half, and tossed the rest. The guys in the kitchen are working like crazy, but I'm stumped as to what they're doing. Hot Wok is a great place to either hop in an take out or sit down and grab a bite. Their food is always great and the staff always does their best to accommodate for their customers. I've never been disappointed by their food and whenever they tell you the time frame to pick up your food, it's always ready when they said it will be. My wife, who is Asian if that matters, and I are originally from the NYC/CT area. We tried many Chinese restaurants in Florida. We lived in Boca Raton before moving up this way so we tried some as far as Miami. This is honestly the best we have tried. They will even tweak the dishes to your liking. The place is clean and fairly large, maybe 8 booths and a few table/chair set-ups. No delivery but that's not their thing. The hostess (Tracy) is very friendly. Between the phone, take out and waiting tables she tries her hardest to accommodate. The food is worth the wait. read more

They lost my business for good went there on a Sunday to dine in & waited an hour got little parts of our dinner then made to wait again. They were more concerned about their take out orders than us we finally had to leave & instead of them trying to rectify it the owner lady was rude.
