I'm actually blown away by these 1-star reviews. I went to HYE before Covid on a non-consistent basis for 4-5 years. I always found the staff great, the teachers amazing, and their rules common sense and based on fairness and respect for other students and for the small business. Fast forward to earlier this year. I injured myself and was away from my normal sports for 3 months while healing. I decided to give HYE a try again. Something to help build up a healthy lifestyle after sitting on a couch all Spring! I've been here 11 days out of the past 20 days and it's exactly as I remember it!!! Wonderful classes with top-notch instructors guiding you in their own authentic way, very nice humans who work the front desk, CLEAN, and perfect temperature. Yes, they have rules and helpful guidance on where to put your mat but their rules are similar to any other yoga studio or fitness establishment that offers reserved classes that I've been to! I know not to be late or not to cancel last-minute. Not because of HYE's rules but because that's the decent thing to do! HYE is a gem of Issaquah and we are lucky to have them!! read more

If you like rules for basically everything ie what door to enter and exit, what time to enter the facility, where to put your mat (ie there's now a grid system that's utterly the dumbest thing ever), cancelation policies, and then when an instructor kicks off a class, guess what? More rules!!! etc...this is the place for you and you can thank the owner - Danielle. If you want true yoga experience do not try this place. It reminds me of how a middle school is run for troubled teens. Sadly, this is one of the only hot yoga places around !! I have been going to HYE for many years and generally enjoy going to the studio. However, recently I had a very negative experience with the manager Kalee. I was surprise to see many multiple charges on my card from HYE and when I inquired about these charges, Kalee was very aggressive, condescending and rude. The teachers and patrons are great, but the manger Kalee is incapable of customer service or answering questions without attitude. She will gladly charge your account, and act annoyed if you ask why. read more

Coming in from out of town and hoping to take a class after Thanksgiving. Signed up through MINDBODY and was so excited only to get there and find out they don't rent mats. No details on their MINDBODY profile said they didn't rent mats. While that detail was on their website, I didn't book via the site so missed that significant detail. Overall very disappointing. They gave me the option to purchase a $25 or $90 mat but as I was visiting from out of town. I opted out of taking the class as it seemed wasteful and not sustainable to purchase a rubber mat to use once. In the future, I would recommend putting mat rental policies on the MINDBODY app so students don't get blindsided when they show up for class. I would also recommend a mat rental option as a lack thereof makes yoga less accessible to students who are visiting from out of town, new to the practice, or have sustainability/eco-friendly standards. read more

The physical studio is nice and some of the teachers are great. Their business practices however a corrupt. After I gave them the necessary notice to cancel my account as I had started with a studio closer to my home, they continued to charge me for 5 months costing me ~$600. When I brought to their attention that I was still being charged they claimed that there was a "Problem with processing the cancelation paperwork" and though I have written notice to them and did not enter the studio after that notice, they are unwilling to refund the fees. Though it is clear that the right thing would be to refund for services that were never rendered, they claim that they "did nothing wrong" and have the right to keep the money. I guess we'll see what the courts say. read more

I recently moved to Issaquah so I needed to find a new yoga studio more local to me (I used to go to TruFusion and CorePower Yoga in Bellevue), so I thought I'd give it a try. I took my first class and it wasn't bad. The Hatha classes are definitely more slower paced than I'm used to, but it gives you time to stretch out and learn different poses. But the Power/Vinyasa classes will definitely kick your butt and make you sweat your butt off! I would highly recommend trying out the classes here. read more

This place is awesome! I have been addicted to power yoga for a few years now and love this Issaquah location. Everyone is super nice! Before each class, the instructor is usually by front door to greet you and check you in. Super clean yoga area and shower/bath facilities. Filter water too! I always have a wonderful experience and think that all the yoga instructors are great. I personally get the best work out from Piper, Aaron and Janelle! Their promotional prices are ridiculous. I have given many people these as gifts to have them try it out and hope they enjoy hot yoga as much as me:) Advise: Get to class at least 10 minutes prior to insure a good spot for your mat and a few minutes to decompress. I originally wanted to try the 12 for $10 deal but was unable to find that option on the scheduling website. I tried to call twice during the day to no avail. Eventually I bit the bullet and paid $25 for a one time class. I arrived 2 minutes late to a scheduled class due to traffic and was turned away at the door. The woman told me that the class had already finished the warmup and I would not be allowed in. There is also no refunds so I was still charged the same as if I attended the class. To add further insult, I received an email 2 hours later informing me that I "missed or late cancelled" my appointment. They suggested a 4 hour notice for future cancellations even though I had been standing in their doorway 2 minutes after the class started. read more

It's always nice to try out a studio before fully committing to it since yoga classes can be expensive! I like the location of this studio (close to Target!) and it's a pretty solid place. The "lobby" area is a little small so can get pretty crowded when you're trying to put on your shoes and grab your stuff. The classes have all been pretty great and the music they play is a mix of "zen-like" and upbeat hits. I didn't try out the sauna because I'm a little nervous about using infrared unnecessarily but they look nice and well kept. There's showers in the back and filtered water available which is always a plus! Despite the fact that there's no advanced sign-in, the classes have never been overwhelmingly full (at least in the mornings). The staff is pretty nice and they check in with you a lot if you purchase a new client special. read more

LOVE! this place is absolutely beautiful and so well kept and clean. The instructors are so helpful and professional. The ladies at the front desk are always ready to help and answer questions. The $10 for 12 deal is tempting but I don't know that it's even worth it. I dropped into one yoga flow/vinyasa class here and was not impressed. There is nothing to clean your mats with, and the instructor failed to encourage hydration or cue SAFE transitions (ex: we were in a prone bound position w/ arms bound, and the next instruction was "and coming to 3-legged dog"--not ok). I am a group fitness instructor myself, and a hot yoga addict of about 7 years; I workout regularly & MY BACK HURT the next day from class. Perhaps my instructor was just new (even though he introduced himself as "practicing for 12 years, and teaching for 7"). Proceed with caution. Namaste. read more

I'm a sauna addict because of Hot Yoga Experience. I initially went in and did the 12 for $10 deal. I killed my 6 sessions in the sauna quickly and used a few of my hot yoga classes. The yoga studio is spacious and the instructors are very helpful. If you know me you know I have no balance and am very clumsy. I fall at any given moment. Randomly too. And I wonder why my daughter is clumsy. I like that the sauna's are individual. You can have the lighting and music on if you like it. The gals will usually ask you if you like having those things on, and if you don't you can tell them and they'll just shut it off. Bring a magazine with you or a book because sitting there for 30 minutes in that hot heat will have you watching the clock. I'd rather stay distracted and not have to ask father time why I still have 20 minutes left. I leave Hot Yoga Experience every time sweaty. My body thanks me and I thank them. Give the 12 for $10 a try. Since I'm a sucker I bought a sauna and yoga package and am hoping that one day I'll be able to balance myself like a normal person. read more

When I first saw the name of this place, I thought to myself, "oh yeah, another hot yoga experience(sarcasm).... in addition to all the other ones." Yup, it is a different experience. The teachers are great, the yoga is great (and a nice temperature too), and the studio is great. Not only that, they have SAUNAS! What a great idea!- Sweating is so good for you and sometimes you may just want to do only that. Or, you can practice hot yoga and then relax in the sauna... Really love this place so far :) Myself and a friend bought the $10, for 12 deal they have going on for new customers. LOVE it! We have done 3 classes so far and I definitely feel so different! My body is thanking me :) The instructors are so nice and very helpful! Usually they talk to us before we leave after class, and they know everyone's names right away! The classroom is HUGE and nice and quiet. The infrared saunas are private, and there are quite a few of them. There are cubbies to put your items in, and a locker room with showers/ locker/ etc. The atmosphere and colors of the studio are exotic and relaxing. I recommend this place to everyone, including people who have little experience with yoga! read more

LOVE this place! Its clean and they mop after every single class! The first time I came here I had signed up for their new student special. Which is by far a great deal ($10 bucks for 10 hot yoga classes and 2 sauna sessions). This by far the most friendliest hot yoga studio around. The staff are nice, the instructor greets you at the door, and the classes are intense and great. The classes are never too crowded. I'd recommend everybody to give this place a chance. I have requested cancellation of my membership once the 12 months is up! Too many administrative nightmares and confusing responses.

Not a good experience. Tried to support them during COVID. They then started charging me full membership fees again without me agreeing. I tried to contact them to let them know and they told me it was too bad there was nothing they could do. A little understanding during tough times, especially from a yoga studio that could see I hadn't been for the four months they charged me would have been nice. My income was dramatically impacted during COVID, 4 people in my home got COVID and zero sympathy from this company. read more

This is a fantastic studio. The reception is friendly and welcoming, the facilities are clean, and the yoga studio is nice and spacious. The 6am hot power class (taught by Elena) was great for several different ability levels, allowing for some more challenging variations within the poses. Highly recommend! The is place is great. It is clean, well designed and the people who run it our accesssible and helpful. I am a beginner to yoga, only having practiced at home, and felt right at home here. The room was a wonderful dry heat and the instruction was clear with lots of variations on the postures. I love Hot Yoga Experience!!! I miss being able to go in, but even in these uncertain times, they have great online resources and lots of zoom and recorded classes. During normal times, there is an excellent array of classes, so it makes a lot of sense to have a membership because you can fit classes into your schedule easily. The teachers are fantastic! Super helpful for beginners, like me, and really focused on what it's all about. There's great choices for power/vinyasa yoga or Hatha yoga on any given day so you can pick what works depending on your energy level or what you're looking for from your practice. The heat and community aspect offers such a massive opportunity for shifts in consciousness, and they have such amazing offerings for workshops and meditation opportunities. I'm so grateful they're still going strong through these uncertain times, because their online classes are keeping me afloat! A good mix of Hatha and Power classes, great friendly knowledgeable and helpful instructors, no attitude and really first rate facilities at all their locations with clean changing and shower rooms. HYE also has a great intro offer and very affordable monthly and yearly packages. If I could give 1.5 stars, I would give it for the ambiance and the cleanliness. Its not like it will make much of a difference any way because the customer service sucks! I currently work in Seattle, have a stressful job and life. When a group of friends over lunch were talking about Hot yoga as stress buster, I told them I would give this place a try with their coupon. If you have a relaxed schedule, this may be a good place for you. If you are prone to come in a minute or two late, they will not let you in and that's the last thing I want after a stressful day Experience # 1: This place closes at 9 pm. I knew I missed the last class at 8 15 pm. I didn't even try to make other classes as I am busy during the day and am not a morning person. I show up at 2 or 3 minutes past 8 30 and told them that I would like to use the Sauna. Greeter: " Our last Sauna appointment is at 8 30 pm. We cannot let you in" Me: "Hmm, The class is until 9 15, so you are going to be here. I will get out at 9 pm if that makes you comfortable" Greeter: "No, Please come back another day and make a reservation" I am like, does she get what customer service is? Does she understand the acquisition costs of a customer? Does she realize that I am going to go share my bad experience with my friends, family and yelpers? No... She and potentially her higher ups does not seem to get it. 6 Sauna's doing nothing at that time. Zero utilization and you have a customer who may potentially pay ~$100 a month. Experience # 2: I walk into the door at 8 17 pm for the 8 15 pm class. The greeter literally just flipped the sign over to class in progress and turned around. I begged her telling her that I am late by two minutes and totally stressed out. Note that when I joined I was told that 8 15 pm class is 50% empty. Greeter: I can put you in the sauna if you want Me: Really, we are talking about 2 minutes and I will not disturb any one and will stay to the end. Greeter: No, Once the door is closed, its closed. As I walked out, my last experience flashed on my mind. I went back and gave my membership card. she silently took the card and I walked out saying that I am no longer interested. If you are like me and prone to a min/two delay, go find another place. These guys do not know or care about customer service. This felt like it is a stress inducer or a military. I get it that others are punctual and they don't want to allow any one after the class starts and disturb the yogis. Not to the point when it is a min/2 late for the last class which is ~50% empty most of the time. read more

Been coming here for 18 months. Big fan based on a number of factors. First the hours are awesome. I love the 8:15PM class b/c I can have dinner, wait to digest, put the kids to bed and still exercise. The instructors are all very solid. Some of course better than others, but all very good. The heat is consistent and well distributed and the facility is always very clean including the locker rooms. The front desk staff (Lori and others) are all very nice, not pushy to sign up, and make you feel welcome. I even forgot my mat once and the instructor from the previous class (Brittany) let me use hers. I'm a fan and will keep coming. read more

This is a cautionary tale for anyone considering HYE for the first time -- read every single detail on the website and emails that you receive. You will not get any sort of orientation to the program or chances for 1-2 "mistakes" to learn. They will charge you $20 for a no-show or if you cancel within 2 hours prior to a session regardless of reason. Even if the class is not full and there are plenty of open spots -- their cancellation policy "is in effect". Hey - I get it that a cancellation policy is needed especially when classes are full and there are wait-lists. But I prefer to do business with companies that at least try to over-communicate with new members about strict policies rather than relying upon wordy emails and a few bullets on a webpage. So this is my warning to anyone considering HYE -- do NOT sign up for a class unless you are absolutely sure you will be there. Do not use the MindBody app to plan out your week unless you set yourself reminders so that you can cancel well enough in advance should a family or work issue arise. Although, if your emergency happens an hour before class (like dog to the vet kind of emergency) - consider it a $20 addition to whatever your emergency bill included. read more

A great hot yoga option in Issaquah for sure. If you are new to hot yoga and looking for proper instruction of Bikram, you won't find it here. They are quite hands off and lax on precision. However, if you know the intricacies of each pose well already you are good to go. The fact the class is one hour makes for a convenient option as well. Room is 105 degrees consistently and is always well attended, often at capacity. Love the updated look as well as the membership card that fits on my key ring. Enough parking for all. Know that they play music throughout the classes...sometimes loud enough that it blocks the voice of the instructor. read more

I purchased the $10.00 introductory card ( 2 weeks for 6 hot yoga & 2 weeks for 6 sauna sessions) but got sick after my first visit, reducing my 14 for 6 saunas down to 11. I called and politely explained the situation, fully expecting to receive a few more days to make up for the time I had lost. No such luck! I was astounded at the unwillingness of the staff member and felt totally mistreated. Having had my own small business for almost 20 years I would never ever treat a potential client like that. There was absolutely no need for it! I had asked to speak to the manager or owner (again very politely) but no one had been present. This situation could have been solved so easily, the total lack of customer service dumb founded me. I had fully planned on becoming a member but most certainly not do it now. I've been a bikram addict for 8 years now and decided to give the hot yoga experience a try. I purchased one of their intro packages, $10 for 12. The package included six yoga classes and six infrared sauna treatments. I am blowing through those as I thoroughly enjoy both the hot Hatha classes and the sauna. I have been visiting both the issaquah and Sammamish locations both are beautiful and wonderfully managed, and the front desk staff is extremely helpful and happy every time I go in. My favorite classes so far have been the ones taught by Nina as I thoroughly enjoy her teaching style and her encouraging words. What an awesome place to get a great workout and a piece of mind! read more

This place is great! I've been to the Bikram Yoga Studio at Bellevue before this...and I've got to say, this is way ahead. The facility is clean and not overly crowded (although I am not sure how it'll be as they get more popular), smooth workflow set-up for sign-ins. Its worth mentioning that I prefer the 60-65 min classes over the 90-mins that you'll do with Bikram-style. And the studio heat is much more tolerable, yet gives an intense workout. Perhaps something to do with the Far Infrared heating technology that they use. And the Sauna Therapy is fantastic. Try it! Its almost as effective as a massage. read more
