Absolutely amazing stay at Hotel Belvedere Bellagio during our honeymoon! Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by wonderful and extremely nice staff. Complementary beverage while checking in and awaiting bags to be delivered to our room. Our room had a wonderful view and was nice and spacious. We loved the amenities the hotel had to offer. Outside the pool area is wonderful with a breathtaking view of the lake. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and used it daily. We also enjoyed lunch by the pool and many spritz's from the pool bar. Be warned, the pool is not heated if you are there in the spring time! The staff were so nice and always greeted us when we returned the next day. The spa is also incredible, with many free to use experiences such as an ice room, salt room, sauna and more! We also loved breakfast every morning at the hotel with the incredible view. Another wonderful part of this hotel is the location. It is less than a 10 minute walk down to the city center and I would prefer to stay here for the view over a hotel near the lake in town. I hope to return to Bellagio again and I will stay at Hotel Belvedere again! read more

After traveling to 80 countries and all seven continents over the past five decades, our 2023 stay at Hotel Belvedere on Lake Como made it very clear that this is now our favorite hotel in the world! Don't let the four stars deceive you, because this is a five-star accommodation all the way! The views of Lake Como are stunning on the eastern slope of this unnamed peninsula that pierces the lake like an arrow, especially from the outdoor deck above the pool. The rooms are so elegant and modern, the rain showers are huge, and the views from our massive patio in the Junior Suite were breathtaking. Cascading down the hill on the hotel property are numerous plateaus of well manicured lawns, sculpted bushes, and beautiful flowers. You're in close proximity to the action of bustling downtown Bellagio, but secluded just far enough for total peace and quiet at the hotel. Situated in the shadow of a hill just to the north owned by The Rockefeller Foundation, with the mountainous terrain as a buffer between the town center and this lovely property, the serenity makes you feel far from the city that's a mere 5-minute walk away. It is the optimal location in Bellagio! The spa is extensive, a facility at which we took full advantage of a thorough, hour-long massage that vastly improves circulation. The staff is incredibly courteous and well trained. But it's many of the little things they do at Hotel Belvedere that make it such a great place to stay. To offer several examples, the luxurious array of body washes and lotions are noteworthy, the larger trashcans without lids uncommon in most hotel rooms are much easier to navigate, the breakfast is one of the best we've ever had, and the room service food is so good you might want to have your nightly dinners in your room. While breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., we had to depart at 7:00 on the final morning to catch a ferry. So the staff composed four takeout boxes for the two of us with a wonderful selection of breakfast foods. It was kindness that goes above and beyond. Loved this place so came back for a second visit. We got there late since our train and ferry were both late. We were starving and the kitchen was closed. The staff found us a beautiful spread of snacks that more than sufficed. This is such a lovely place and amazing staff each night we have visited. read more

We absolutely loved it here. We wanted to spoil ourselves and stay somewhere romantic with a lake view for our stay in Bellagio, Lake Como and this met all expectations. The lake is literally right in front of the hotel and it is breathtaking every single time you look at it. There were times we literally just started at it from the hotel. Easily the best hotel I've stayed at. The hotel itself is luxurious and the room was spacious and even had a balcony to enjoy the lake view. There's a pool with bar service and and infinity jacuzzi. All were amazing. And the restaurant at the hotel was delicious. We had the complimentary breakfast buffet and also had dinner there. Both were great. The dinner was special since the in house sommelier recommended a nice bottle and the dessert was also delicious (and I'm not a dessert guy). The hotel also has a very nice small gym with treadmills and weights. Location: just a few blocks from city center and the ferry. We also caught a boat ride which was close by. Staff: The staff is so amazing here. From Mario at Front Desk to Monica and Filippo at the restaurant, everyone was so attentive, warm, and genuinely wanted us to have a good time. We felt so loved. My biggest tip is to have a solid transportation plan. You can take the train to Lake Como but Bellagio is far from the station and there aren't a bunch of taxis available. There is a ferry which you can walk to from the train station but the day we went the ferry tickets machine was not working so we ended up asking the hotel to send a car which they graciously did! read more

This hotel was simply beautiful and modern with the best service staff and delectable breakfast brunch. Whatever we needed the staff was there to help us with whether it was temperature or transport or reservations. They welcomed us home with open arms and always were so kind and courteous to us. I would HIGHLY recommend you stay here -5 minute walk into town and nice to be away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to access when you want. The shuttle was awesome too when you don't feel like walking. Bellagio was also the best town in which to stay and town was very vibrant . We loved hotel Belvedere and hope you do too!!! read more

Located in Bellagio with beautiful views of the lake. Our room had a deck with stunning views. Easy check in and check out process. Very clean and well kept. They brought our bags to the room for us as we were given a brief tour of the grounds and amenities in the room. Hot tub and pool available but we didn't use it. Breakfast is available between 830 and 1030 with more stunning views as you eat. Breakfast buffet which had many choices and items to order such as eggs, omelets, pancakes, etc. They also have a restaurant for dinner. The staff was amazing from before check in until after we checked out. They all spoke both English and Italian. Manuel took care of any bookings that were done or anything that was needed. Other helpful employees were Camila, Manuela, and Serena. They all went above and beyond including the staff at breakfast. The town is a short 5 minute walk. There is shopping, restaurants, boat tours, and benches to sit and view the lake. Even on a cloudy day the views were beauty. I highly suggest staying here. I would love to come back here the next time I visit Italy. read more

This review is for the restaurant. We stumbled upon this walking into town from our parking space and had lunch on their terrace, which has a beautiful view of the lake. Service was good and the food was excellent. They had a special smoked butter truffle pasta that was so great we ordered it twice, best pasta we had while in Italy. Definitely recommend. read more

One of the best small, high-quality hotels I have ever stayed at. Small enough to have that nice, small feel, and get to know the staff during a one-week visit. Big enough to have all the basics that a larger hotel would provide: a bar that was open whenever I needed it, a great restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, parking, prompt maid service, a swimming pool, spa, and pool bar. All with a simply superb view overlooking the lake. It's a bit of walk to downtown Bellagio -- but at least it's all downhill. It's the coming back part that's hard. Note that for the weak-kneed there is a way to go all the way around and get to downtown without having to take a single step (head for the church), though I would encourage anyone to explore the beautiful staired alleyways and the shops within them. The only real downside is the elevator; it's too small and too slow for a property of this size. read more

A modern luxury hotel perched in the hills overlooking the back side of the lake away from downtown Bellagio yet only a 15 minute walk to town. The hotel is of modest size and we were in a room with a beautiful lake view and a nice, private balcony up on the third floor. Much of this hotels appeal is its amazing view looking down to the other side of lake from the village proper (remember,Bellagio is situated on a small peninsula). If rated on looks and style alone, they would be 5 stars, however for me service, sleep quality, noise and comfort also are important factors at the dozens of hotels I visit during a typical year. Unfortunately they've got a few areas here that were less than 5 stars. Pros: -THE VIEW THE VIEW THE VIEW -amazing shower with jets coming at you from all directions (although tricky at first to figure out) -good-sized room with modern furnishings and pergo (fake) wood flooring. -nice pool (pool attendant on first day with grayish hair was not very service minded but much better younger guy was on duty on our second visit who did a great job) -beautiful setting for a restaurant on a Terrace above the pool-again, THE VIEW, and a nice menu when we had dinner (service was fine but not 5-star quality with seemingly a number of less experienced staff and one senior guy) -front desk staff very helpful in arranging activities (although Bellagio Water Limousine cruise she recommended was disappointing but recommendation for Bellagio Rent a Boat was highlight of our vacation) -fastest and most reliable WIFI we've found in the 5 luxury hotels we've visited during this 2 week trip Disappointments: -poor sleep quality-the bed had these super thin (maybe 4 inches) FLIMSY PILLOWS and I awoke with a sore neck (and bad attitude). Called on day two and got some slightly softer ones but still just ok. -POOR SOUND INSULATION given the caliber of this hotel-every door opening, footsteps in the hallway, even footsteps from the room above on the wooded floor could be EASILY HEARD in our expensive room on the third floor-luckily we none of the young families were residing nearby. Minor nits: -a bit of a walk to town, especially on a hot day and it's all uphill coming back as you'd expect -parking-good that they have it, bad that your car is in a locked and chained paddock-like car jail-and they encourage you to just walk to get around-best not to even bring a car Bottom line: 3-4 stars. They need to amp up the service component and fix sound quality and pillow to be 5 stars in my book. read more

We stayed there for our 25th Anniversary at the end of our Italy trip. Fantastic facilities and the staff was super friendly and helpful! We stayed in a suite in the main building facing the lake and the view was breathtaking. Even though this is an old building it has been refreshed with modern conveniences and clean lines. My wife had several treatments at the spa and I used the sauna, turkish steam room and Jacuzzi (which had an infinity edge making it seem to flow right into the lake and alps. We had dinner 2 nites in the restaurant and it was delicious with fabulous views and tasty dishes. Breakfast was also scrumptious with meats, cheeses, salmon, various pastry/breads/cereals etc. Recommend to stay in the main building with a lake view if possible. Also, it is at the top of the hill so if you have trouble walking you will need cabs and such to get places. read more

If you are thinking about coming to Lake Como, this is where you should stay. It is worth every penny! We stayed here for our honeymoon and we're upgraded to a suite with the best view! They also brought us Italian prosecco upon arrival. The breakfast was wonderful every morning and the dinner meals was one of my favorite in all of Como. The hotel staff were all very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I wish I could go back right now!! read more

We were here for our honeymoon, and I can't say enough about our stay at the Hotel Belvedere. Gorgeous hotel just a short walk up the hill from downtown Bellagio. There are lots of nice hotels in the area, but what impressed us the most was the staff and their attention to detail. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful, and worked hard to make our stay as wonderful as possible. As an example, we had an early flight on our last day and had to leave before breakfast began, so they packed us to-go bags so we'd have something to munch on during the ride to the airport. Most higher end hotels do the big stuff right, but these guys did the little things we wouldn't have even thought of. The restaurant on property is fantastic, and they do a great breakfast in the morning. Obviously you don't go to a place like Lake Como just to spend your entire time at the hotel, but do yourself a favor and have one evening meal here - it's worth it. Anyway, we highly recommend this hotel. I have a hard time believing that one could do much better anywhere in Bellagio. read more
