Great food! Very cool place to check out if you're in the area. It was much bigger inside than it appeared from the outside. Great service, friendly staff.

The food and drinks was amazing! I was unsure since the restaurant hardly has any reviews, but we enjoyed every bite and every drink. The land and sea quesadilla AND the fish tacos we're so flavorful. It's a must have! And the Margaritas, you can't go wrong with any of them.

Wanted to explore outside of Cabo and ended up here. Kinda cool to actually experience the hotel and location from the famous Eagles song. Hotel - Old hotel for sure with a very original look to it. Christmas tree, check in area, restaurants are very dated also. Bar - Had a drink at the bar and it was well made and employee was very nice. Grounds - They have a large courtyard in the back that is really peaceful, great decor, and looks like a great place for events. Overall it was a great experience .

This hotel was a stop that was included on one of our tours. It is definitely a nice looking place with a classic colonial design. It is not very big though and actually only has 11 rooms (converted from 16 rooms originally). Despite what other reviews think, this place has nothing to do with the famous Eagles song. In fact, Don Henley sued the owners for copyright infringement and stated that Hotel California is not a real place. The song is about living the high life in California and has nothing to do with Mexico. With that in mind, this is just a small, random hotel with no importance to it. Not worth visiting really.

Ate at the restaurant here and had the best mole EVER! Service was good and the rest of our dishes were delicious but the mole blew me away!

This famous restaurant is located within the walls of Hotel California. This was my second visit to Todas Santos so, I made sure I dined at this establishment this time. When you walk into this place it's like you stepped into a time machine taking you back to 1947 when the hotel originally opened. I loved the decor, it felt like old Mexico. I saw the beauty and felt the history spirit in the paintings, furniture, and building structure. Everything was very clean and organized. The food was served fresh, hot, and it tasted fantastic! However, my waiter didn't give the best customer service. I felt like he really didn't want to be at work that particular day. He had a dry personality, he didn't smile not once. Nevertheless, I did allow "sad Sam" to ruin my experience. I still enjoyed my dining experience. I definitely will return when I'm in the area again.

On our tour to La Paz, we stopped in Todos Santos on the Baja California Sur. We stayed 1 night in Hotel California- which is apparently known for abstract lyrics that lead singer Don Henley /Eagles -coined. Not sure if this Hotel really illuminates the song's lyrics-but it is a beautiful Historic Hotel that has an enchanting Atmosphere. It offers comfortable and quaint lodging, fabulous authentic dinning, and shopping (from local vendors). The grounds feel as if you are sitting in a green oasis surrounded in provoking warm tropical. weather. I was really impressed with the wonderful hospitality, service, and friendly locals.

This is a quaint little place. An old hotel built in 1940 with only ten rooms. Now has a restaurant, bar and store on site. There is a sweet balcony and a pool. We ate lunch here and the food was alright. The tortilla soup tasted like regular chicken noodle soup with a thin broth. It was not to my liking. The chicken enchiladas verdes were good. Definitely a historic place to stop and see when in Todos Santos.

We came for brunch and we were very happy with the service and the quality of the food. We had excellent coffee, baked in house bread, chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, fruit. It was excellent! We finished our brunch with fantastic mezcalitas of tamarindo and jalapeño! Beautiful decor, attention to detail!

"On a dark desert highway... I heard the mission bell... Welcome to the Hotel California... You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave..." The famous song by the Eagles lured us here to the town of Todos Santos - about an hour's drive away from Cabo San Lucas. The hotel was built in the late 1940's by Mr. Wong, who wanted so much for people to believe that he was Mexican that he changed his name to Don Antonio Tabasco. The locals knew better and called him "El Chino" which means Chinese man. The hotel started with 16 rooms, but today only has 11 suites. The average price per night is about $100. Mr. Wong later opened a gas station, a store, a restaurant, and a bar which served cold beer. He got the ice from the neighboring town of La Paz. This made him popular, so his store was named "La Popular". The current owners are Canadian. They are in no way related to the Eagles, nor have the Eagles ever been connected to this hotel. However, on the night we visited, by coincidence, the song, "Hotel California" was playing... kinda creepy... especially the restroom. I expected something to pop out from the drain or the empty space where the hot water knob should be... We decided to have dinner there. I had the Land and Sea Quesadillas which were okay. I really like cheese and seafood, so I was pretty happy. I think that if I were in the area again, I'd come back mainly for the ambiance, artsy décor, and the service. I would get the special of the day and bring mosquito repellant for my friends...

I come here just for the mango Margs! They are a must! Fresh mango is used and they aren't overly sweet!

Really nice place. Our guide from our whale shark adventure took us here on our way back. I'm giving the review for atmosphere and my non-alcoholic drink. My son had some tacos and he said they were ok so not sure if that's a 3 or 4 but he didn't complain about them either. They have a little store that's attached that sells all kinds of niknaks and lots of handmade stuff. There was even a guy in the courtyard making clay pots and he let us have one free (for a donation ). It wasn't quite dry yet but nice little souvenir. The courtyard is very nice (where the banos are) and they have a really nice fountain out there. The inside is really nice - both in the dining area and the bar area. They wait staff was nice and worked quickly to get our orders done so we could be on our way. It's a cool place especially if it really the place that the song is based on. I can't verify that but so the guide said!!

It was a very small serving and half the shrimp were cold and served with cold fried avocado. ?? I didn't find an entree I wanted. There was only 4 or 5 and the descriptions on half of them (even in English) made no sense to me. From the description I had no idea what they were. I ordered seasonal vegetables and shrimp bites from the appetizers. The seasonal vegetables came in a red bell pepper and all were sauted till they all looked the same. I ate the carrots because its what I recognized. It was too heavy and too oily. The shrimp bites weren't hot and were also oily and lacked flavor. The table next to us was just as confused by the food. Our waiter was ok but he almost walked off without taking my husbands order. I really wanted this place to be great because its such a gorgeous place and the bar upstairs is insane amazing but the restaurant is not great. We told our waiter our concerns and paid and then went to get tamales from Todos Cafe.
