Place had high ratings and made a stop on the way to Hotel California. Staff -Employees here are super nice, helpful, and will due whatever it takes to make sure you have a great experience. Location - A lil ways drive from the main road but it's secluded from the major resorts with that private beach vacation feel. Venue - Very nice place, we'll kept up, and unique as all the rooms are different, jacuzzi in the pool is flush , and very nice grounds. Restaurants - Very authentic food and delicious, would have to say the food here is definitely one of the top 5 better places to eat in the area. Overall the place is great and if you need to getaway and be in a quiet place this is the spot.

Best food I had all week!! A place off the path but views were gorgeous and the food was excellent!

    Punta Lobos

Me and my friend were hiking the nearby trail at Punta Lobos. The temperature was in the low 80s during our hike. There is absolutely no shade and we did not bring sufficient water for a three hour hike. We shared our transportation with a couple who went into TS for an art class. Unfortunately, we got heat stroke and were cramping from dehydration. We went from the trail to the hotel to ask for water. They told us they would not give us water and asked us to leave the property. I understand this is a high-end hotel. I think it's embarrassing, that they would deny water to anyone showing signs of heat stroke and cramping from dehydration. We called our friends for pick up. They were delayed in town, but picked us up before our health degraded further. I take full responsibility for my actions. I did not prepare myself and bring enough water. However, I would not ask for a simple glass of water unless I needed it I think everyone needs to know what Hotel San Cristobal stands for.

Awesome pool side dining and drinking as the waves crash behind you

I did not stay at the hotel but I did have awesome cocktails and ceviche by the firelight next to the beautiful pool with the waves crashing in the distance. Prices are steep and a day pass to the pool is exorbitant. Do not come here looking for Mexico prices. The service is like any US 5 star resort and the ambiance is like any Ritz Carlton in the US. I would absolutely bring a date or a group of friends here to enjoy a lounge by the pool or on the patio at night.

This place is the most special, and relaxing destination I have ever been. Everything from the amenities to the food on site to the staff, was top notch and the epitome of a wonderful vacation. The hikes available and activities offered are a must do. Raul and Yessi especially stood out to me and their kindness and help were so appreciated. They even tried to teach me a little Spanish (they were so patient and cool). The staff here really love their jobs and they want to connect with the guests. We also took the hotels recommendation of taking a boat to La Playa Balandra and I am so happy we did, it was the most incredible and unique experience I have ever shared with my family. Todos Santos is a mere 10 minutes from the hotel and offers so much to do and great food as well- the staff provide great food recommendations off site as well as what to order at the hotel restaurants. Overall this was a beyond amazing vacation and I wish I could give this place 1,000 stars. Words can't capture how perfect those 7 days were! hope to be back soon.

This place is an absolute dream. My mom had been twice and recommended it to my husband and I for our honeymoon. We went over New Years 2020-2021 and the covid protocol is on point, there are very few people staying there, the scenery and rooms are astounding and the staff is so incredibly nice. Dolce absolutely made the experience. She is phenomenal. I cried when I left since she was just so very nice. I can't wait to go back!

Private beach fire with smores for birthday celebration that concierge arranged

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!! I don't even know where to start and where to end. The staff are all AMAZING, it was like being on vacation with all of your best friends and family. Stunning views, amazing pool and beach lounge set ups, extremely clean grounds, facilities and rooms and out of this world food and service. We did cooking classes, private beach fire with smores and surfing, all of which were highlights of our trip. The hotel concierge helps arrange everything including top notch transportation and services. Our trip was to celebrate a birthday and they went above and beyond to make everything so special. I have traveled to many places and this was the first place I never wanted to leave and had me contemplate staying forever. Worth every dollar (peso) :) !!!!!!!!!

It was a very small serving and half the shrimp were cold and served with cold fried avocado. ?? I didn't find an entree I wanted. There was only 4 or 5 and the descriptions on half of them (even in English) made no sense to me. From the description I had no idea what they were. I ordered seasonal vegetables and shrimp bites from the appetizers. The seasonal vegetables came in a red bell pepper and all were sauted till they all looked the same. I ate the carrots because its what I recognized. It was too heavy and too oily. The shrimp bites weren't hot and were also oily and lacked flavor. The table next to us was just as confused by the food. Our waiter was ok but he almost walked off without taking my husbands order. I really wanted this place to be great because its such a gorgeous place and the bar upstairs is insane amazing but the restaurant is not great. We told our waiter our concerns and paid and then went to get tamales from Todos Cafe.

But this was the first time I was every so upset we had to leave. We checked in very late (~9PM) and settled in after a long travel. We planned to stay here for 5 nights. There were 3 of us on the reservation, but there were a few small things we noticed that were odd: only 1 towel in the room, no cups, no silverware (there is a sink and small kitchen to use). Regardless, we knew we wanted a look key stay. As we snuggled into the beds we were freaked out and appalled. We had two beds in our room and the sheets and pillowcases had blood on them. I understand it could happen, but it was on both beddings. We went to fix it at night and the night manager couldn't help us. We managed to fall asleep and due to the current predicament (COVID), we are in healthcare, and how everything happened, we decide to check out promptly in the morning and find a safer place to stay. We talked to the morning manager who still wasn't helpful. He told us we had to go through booking.com - even though we had paid in full upon arrive. Even with the conditions of the room, we got no flexibility in cancelling. Honestly we were so upset, we checked out and just wanted to get a fresh start for our vacation. Unfortunately we lost a lot of money and vacation time on this hotel. It wasn't safe (health wise) nor clean. I trust travel reviews and I'm upset this happened. I hope this review helps others in the future.
