Just came back from a stay as part of a wedding buyout. All I can say is FANTASTIC. This hotel was perfect for such an occasion. Each event was in a unique part of the property and beautifully laid out. The staff was very helpful and attentive throughout the stay. And the food was just incredible for every meal. Additionally the morning yoga and afternoon massage were a great way to unwind. Bonus hike up a very scenic hill is adjacent to the hotel and very easy to access. Todos Santos is a gem and a great, up and coming alternative to the touristy nature of Cabo. Hotel San Cristobal is a perfect boutique getaway for a more authentic experience in Mexico. I highly would recommend going to this part of the peninsula on your next trip to Baja and checking on Cristobal for an elevated experience. read more

My lovely bride and I had a wonderful late afternoon lunch at La Playita Beach Club in mid-March 2026. We weren't staying at the hotel, and Benno was not yet open. We started with the guacamole, which was excellent. The bar made us two fantastic mocktails. My bride ordered the steak fries and I had the classic Baja fish tacos. Service was prompt and pleasant. Came here for their day pass and had a beautiful day. Complimentary valet, then we went to the front desk to check in. We spent the day at the pool and beach. It's a very small boutique hotel with a beautiful view. The pool was warm and very comfortable. We had lunch at the pool and the food was also very good. Later they brought by artisan popsicles, pistachio was amazing. We spent the rest of the afternoon at the beach area which was empty. So tranquil! It was nice to feel the breeze, hear the waves and just relax. read more

Place had high ratings and made a stop on the way to Hotel California. Staff -Employees here are super nice, helpful, and will due whatever it takes to make sure you have a great experience. Location - A lil ways drive from the main road but it's secluded from the major resorts with that private beach vacation feel. Venue - Very nice place, we'll kept up, and unique as all the rooms are different, jacuzzi in the pool is flush , and very nice grounds. Restaurants - Very authentic food and delicious, would have to say the food here is definitely one of the top 5 better places to eat in the area. Me and my friend were hiking the nearby trail at Punta Lobos. The temperature was in the low 80s during our hike. There is absolutely no shade and we did not bring sufficient water for a three hour hike. We shared our transportation with a couple who went into TS for an art class. Unfortunately, we got heat stroke and were cramping from dehydration. We went from the trail to the hotel to ask for water. They told us they would not give us water and asked us to leave the property. I understand this is a high-end hotel. I think it's embarrassing, that they would deny water to anyone showing signs of heat stroke and cramping from dehydration. We called our friends for pick up. They were delayed in town, but picked us up before our health degraded further. I take full responsibility for my actions. I did not prepare myself and bring enough water. However, I would not ask for a simple glass of water unless I needed it I think everyone needs to know what Hotel San Cristobal stands for. read more

This place is the most special, and relaxing destination I have ever been. Everything from the amenities to the food on site to the staff, was top notch and the epitome of a wonderful vacation. The hikes available and activities offered are a must do. Raul and Yessi especially stood out to me and their kindness and help were so appreciated. They even tried to teach me a little Spanish (they were so patient and cool). The staff here really love their jobs and they want to connect with the guests. We also took the hotels recommendation of taking a boat to La Playa Balandra and I am so happy we did, it was the most incredible and unique experience I have ever shared with my family. Todos Santos is a mere 10 minutes from the hotel and offers so much to do and great food as well- the staff provide great food recommendations off site as well as what to order at the hotel restaurants. Overall this was a beyond amazing vacation and I wish I could give this place 1,000 stars. Words can't capture how perfect those 7 days were! hope to be back soon. read more

We went over New Years 2020-2021 and the covid protocol is on point, there are very few people staying there, the scenery and rooms are astounding and the staff is so incredibly nice. Stunning views, amazing pool and beach lounge set ups, extremely clean grounds, facilities and rooms and out of this world food and service. We did cooking classes, private beach fire with smores and surfing, all of which were highlights of our trip. The hotel concierge helps arrange everything including top notch transportation and services. Our trip was to celebrate a birthday and they went above and beyond to make everything so special. I am writing this review because I am so impressed with this hotel. I was not a guest so I'm reviewing my experience as someone who came to the hotel to check it out. I found the restaurant, bar, and gift shop to be spectacular. Every person on the staff was welcoming and helpful. We were simply there to walk around and see if this is a place we want to suggest to our guests/friends/family (we have a home in Todos Santos but not room enough for all of them, LOL). We will come back again and again to enjoy the bar and restaurant, and will cheerfully recommend the hotel to our friends and family. I love the decór and was delighted to discover that the gift shop sells several similar items...So I purchased a blanket and a bathrobe! read more

I'm only giving it a 3 star because of their rules. Staff, food and service are great. Everyone's complaints are the unfriendly rules to separate guest from locals. As a local I would love to seat closer to the ocean, well, you are not allowed as it is only for guest. As a guest, my friends complained that they were always seating around other Americans (who are majority of the guest they have) and they were looking forward to meet locals, socialize and to learn more about Todos Santos. Food is great, what is what keeps us coming back, there is a new chef which has changed some of their signature dishes, which is never a good idea. Locals came back for those dishes, unfortunately they are not longer what they were. Everyone in the staff is wonderful, zero complaints about that, they are attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, but they follow the rules. I have walked out a couple of times because the rules are extremely unfriendly, during COVID it the separation got worse, the areas are all outside, don't really understand. Also the flies when food is served can truly ruin the meal, as they come by the dozens and even with the smoke they are hard to control. If you are planning to come to Mexico to be around others from America, then this is the place for you, but if you like to mix with locals or other interesting people, if you want to learn about other places to visit, then try another place, this is a very unfriendly place, except for the staff who is wonderful. It is very sad because everyone could be benefiting from the space, location, views and food, be it is a very divided venue. Giving that this place was built under so much controversy and created so much chaos around the fishermen and their land and unwelcoming attitude from locals, they should be welcoming locals, as they are here most of the year and are the ones eating there when tourism goes down, the place is mostly empty all year long except for the guest who are at the pool or eating in their "special areas". This is the only place in Todos Santos where this segregation happens. read more

Hmmm. Here it goes. My husband and I have stayed in some of the best hotels in Mexico, as well as several of the upscale resorts in Cabo San Lucas and Cabo San Jose.This hotel, once you drive down a mile long dirt road to get to it, is a beautiful property. It is situated on a private beach, the pool is stunning (but not heated so too cold for my liking), and the rooms - if you reserve one with a view - are well appointed. But this is NOT a five star hotel due to the lack of services offered once you get here. While it is located about 10 minutes from the little town of Todos Santos, getting there will cost you about $60 for a driver to get you there and back unless you've rented a car. And once you get to Todos Santos, you may not want to go back. We were constantly harassed by people wanting to sell us stuff, and the food was mediocre at best. We lasted in the town for two hours before coming back to the hotel because the town is sweltering hot in August. We booked the hotel for four nights and began to go a little stir crazy. The only options for breakfast/ lunch and dinner are the restaurant and pool bar which have very limited menus. If you're fine with eating ceviche and grilled fish/fish tacos for days on end, you'll do fine, but my suggestion is to stay here for no more than two days. The other issue, which I'm told is because it's the summer season, is the flies. I've never seen this many flies anywhere. The restaurant is swarming with them so you are literally eating while swatting flies off of your food. Even the area where they set up complimentary iced tea is swarming with flies, and they literally stick to your skin. There are also lots of sand fleas that bite like crazy. Bottom line, the staff is friendly, but know that the hotel caters to a young hipster crowd who are constantly Instagramming their vacation, which is understandable considering Vogue called it one of the most Instagramable hotels. So if you're fine with paying over $500 a night for curated cactus decor, pink pool floats, overpriced food and drinks (and you're under 40) this is the place for you. I wouldn't come back to this area, or the hotel, but glad I gave it a try. read more

I love the location and the hotel is beautiful. The view, spectacular! However, if you are not a guest of the hotel you cannot sit in certain areas to eat, drink and watch the sunset. In the past we were able to sit, eat and drink in the bar area. As of 12-01-2021, rules have changed and we were corralled into an area for "non guests". So sad. Used to be one of our favorite stops to watch the sunset but with the new rules it's not worth it.it is no longer appealing to us. BTW, there were NO hotel guests in the area we wanted to sit (literally empty). Disappointed. Moving on to the Green Room (look it up please) where you get a spectacular view, amazing food, and great service!!! read more

So incredibly blown away by the majesty that is Hotel San Cristobal. The scene is surreal. Tucked away at the end of a long worn dirt road - there she sits, picturesque and inviting. Our stay was unbelievably relaxing. Every detail has been thought of from the Malin + Goetz bath products, to the beautiful cacti landscaping, to the heated pool and hot-tubs. Oh, and can you say "Cocktail of the Day?" Uh huh. Watch for daily changes on the chalkboard. The staff are beyond helpful (ask for David!) and went out of their way to give us recommendations for the town of Todos Santos, and even an amazing trip to La Paz to swim with whale sharks(!!!!) I rarely say "I'll be coming back..." but with all sincerity, I can't wait until my next visit. read more

I would give 6 stars if I could! Bunkhouse absolutely outdid themselves with this hotel. The staff was awesome overall and we had a very smooth check-in and check-out. The location, a 5-minute drive away from Todos Santos offers a perfect mix between absolute relaxation and exploration. The design and décor are exquisite and the food + drinks are delicious! This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. It's set on a rocky point on a desolate beach, at the end of a 1 mile dirt road about an hour north of Cabo. Surrounded by rocky hills covered with thousand of Saguaro like cactus and other semi-tropical low brush. Four attractive modern buildings flank a courtyard that looks out on the sea where Pelicans fish. All the eating and socializing and hanging out happens in the main courtyard. The main focal point is a gorgeous pool with 2 Hot tubs immersed in it where you can sip watermelon margaritas and eat shrimp ceviche. A gentle breeze keeps you cool and happy. Everywhere are comfortable lounge chairs, sofas and hammocks and grasses and flowers and vines. The architecture and colors and materials blend into the natural surroundings, the pool blends into the ocean and the music played into the wind. And it's all accented by beautiful colorful cement tile and great service and the wonderful concierge David Loaiza. Blissful. Can't wait to return. read more

I can't believe that I am the first person to review this magical hotel. This place is literally heaven. The moment you walk in the air smells of Copal and zen. The check in was relatively easy. The place was not packed by any means, and we basically had the hotel to ourselves a lot of the time. On the first night we had an amazing dinner at the pool bar. Shortly after we got in our bathing suits and went to the hot tub. As the night progressed we made friends, mostly from Los Angeles. The staff did their best to cater to our requests. Even if the answer was no, they would still say "let me ask". I guess they were highly trained in the art of hotel hospitality. The next morning we had an amazing breakfast overlooking the ocean at Benno. The food was fresh and well prepared. Waking up to the view was my favorite part of being there. The pool faces the ocean and the entire hotel is well designed. Meagan the Manager was also super cool. She has a great laid back vibe and hangs out with the guests as a friend. It's not stuffy or constricted at all. Overall we had an excellent vacation. There was only 1 issue with the AC unit in our room, but the moved us on the last night. 3 nights came out to about $800. Todos Santos is still very underdeveloped, it's not Cabo... so don't expect anything too exciting if you want to party. Bring friends, bring sunblock and enjoy the amazing local seafood. read more
