Entrance - a porter will carry your bags up

5 stars. Book this hotel if you want comfort and service. Impressed! We stayed here for 5 nights in March 2016. We went on vacation and were there just to site see. We searched several websites to research hotels and chose Hotel Concordia and we made the right decision. First, getting there is easy. If you take the Alilaguna airport water bus, it drops you off at the San Marco stop and you have ZERO bridges to cross with your luggage. Trust me, that's a wonderful thing. You do not want to have to lug your bags long distances over bridges. The hotel is right in the heart of the tourist area of St. Mark's square. I was concerned that it would be annoying and too loud but it was great. The entrance to the hotel does not face the square, instead it's on the street behind the hotel. There are tons of restaurants shops on that street so it makes dinner very convenient. Service is great. The front desk is helpful arranging dinner reservations, tours of Murano, etc... The first night we were here, the city of Venice decided to do very loud construction all through the night. The front desk was very apologetic and arranged to move us to a quieter room. The new room face the small street and was perfect. The rooms are spacious with large beds, TVs, fridges, and large bathrooms. Maid service came twice a day. We were able to open our windows wide for fresh cool air but the hotel was also well heated for the chilly weather. Each room has its own layout and color scheme. It was interesting to have experienced two different rooms. There is an elevator big enough for up to about 3 people. The breakfast was plentiful and good. Get the price with the included breakfast, it's nice to fuel up for the day. Breakfast had both hot and cold options with at least 4 types of cereal, breads, pastries, and hot items. You can also order off the menu. The WiFi is great! It's fast and free. It was a big bonus for international travelers. The hotel is quiet and most of the people staying there with older couples. We were some of the only Americans in the hotel and I never saw or heard any children. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a great little hotel tucked into a corner of San Marco square. I call it the little hotel that could. On check-in I was upgraded to a corner room on the square with a standing balcony and sitting room. The bathroom was spacious and bathrobes were provided. There were chocolates and water complimentary in the room. The location was perfect! Yes, you can splurge for a hotel on the Grand Canal, but this hotel was half the price and also included breakfast. To me it was just as nice standing on our balcony and people watching on the square. The staff was friendly, accommodating and professional and the bed was super comfy. What more does one need?

When we arrived, we were shown to the room immediately after a brief introduction to the hotel and city. We were offered any advice we needed as well as access to concierge services gratis. The staff was welcoming and friendly as well. It's very comfortable. The room decor was elegant and the bed was wonderful after a long trip. Coffee and a welcome bottle of Prosecco were also waiting for us. The view is really, truly right on the canal. It's fantastic but surprisingly quiet at night, likely due to the excellent windows We took the water taxi to the San Marco Square then walked back and it was about a 30 minute walk with beautiful shops and restaurants almost the entire way. Final note, the breakfast was a very good value with a diverse selection and excellent coffee. We recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

At the time I was Starwood Platinum, and I booked a King room with a view of the canal. As we checked in - after the train ride from Milan, the long water Vaporetto ride, and the cold walk from the square - the staff was quite friendly as they informed us ... I had been upgraded to a suite with a terrace on the top floor! Right across the canal from the room was the Basilica, with the Lagoon behind it and Lido off in the distance. The furnature was pure classical period style and the terrace was larger than my next room in Munich. Unfortunately it was February so the Terrace was of little use and some of the hotel facilities were not open. But it was fabulous anyway. Now, my stay may not be typical, not everyone gets upgraded to a $2,500/night hotel room. The location is great - easy walking to just about any part of Venezia. The staff was friendly and helpful. Not sure about wifi and connectivity - when we were in the room we weren't surfing the internet.
