We booked Hotel Crescent Court through American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts and prepaid the reservation using my Platinum Card. Unfortunately, I lost the physical card on the morning of our arrival. I understand that hotels have identification and payment policies. What I cannot understand is the complete lack of empathy, initiative, or problem-solving shown by the front desk when we arrived at approximately 8:00 p.m. with our newborn baby. And unfortunately, the errors piled up by the time we left. I had my driver's license, a different American Express card, my apple pay platinum card, and access to my active American Express account. I attempted to place the same Platinum Card on file through Apple Pay. The hotel's terminal accepted the transaction, but the front-desk employee manually voided it because I did not have the physical card, telling me that they don't accept Apple Pay to prevent "Fraud" even when I have a driver's license matching the name on the account, reservation, and platinum card account. I also offered to complete a credit-card authorization form, but was told it would take 24 hours to process and therefore could not be used to receive the benefits of my *prepaid* booking. But that is not why this is a 1-star review. Rather than saying, "Let me see what we can do," contacting American Express, offering a temporary solution, offering any other reasonable accommodation, or simply offering some empathy and saying "geez, that sucks, but it's out of our hands!", the hotel's first response was essentially to have the manager come over and tell us the best plan would be for us to ***leave immediately*** and that they would just cancel the reservation entirely to get rid of us and our baby. Again, this occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. while we were traveling with a newborn on a very stressful trip. We ultimately stayed because leaving at that hour with an infant was not a realistic option. The hotel then refused to honor any of the Fine Hotels + Resorts benefits attached to our prepaid reservation, including breakfast, the $100 property credit, and guaranteed 4:00 p.m. checkout. When we checked out, our final folio showed no additional charges due, making the hotel's absolute refusal to work with us even more difficult to understand. The late checkout and property credit were not minor extras to us. They were the primary reasons we chose to book this property through Fine Hotels + Resorts. We were in Dallas so that my wife and her 91-year-old grandmother could visit the grave of my wife's mother. This was understandably an emotional and stressful day for my wife. I had deliberately selected an FHR stay so that, after the cemetery visit, she could have some quiet, reflective, and peaceful time at the spa without our family having to rush out of the hotel at noon. Instead, because the guaranteed late checkout and other FHR benefits were denied, we had to hurriedly pack all of our newborn's belongings and determine how to spend several hours outside the hotel on a day when the forecast called for approximately 104°F. That was precisely the type of stress and logistical difficulty I had tried to avoid by paying for an FHR reservation. The service failures involving our baby were equally troubling. We requested both a refrigerator for breast milk and a crib or bassinet on four separate occasions (at booking, week before, day before, at checkin). Neither requested item was waiting in the room. When we called the front desk from the room, the staff claimed they had no knowledge of ANY of the four prior requests and insisted that we had not notified the hotel at all in a rude and dismissive manner. They initially said they did not believe they would be able to provide the requested items. This was especially frustrating because the requests were visible in the reservation notes. A crib eventually appeared approximately an hour later, without any explanation or meaningful acknowledgment of what had occurred. The crib itself was in terrible condition. It had visibly peeling paint and appeared decades old--more like something pulled from the back of a warehouse than an infant sleeping accommodation supplied by a luxury hotel. Even the check-in paperwork was handled carelessly. The front-desk employee wrote her OWN NAME in the guest-name area of our key-card packet (Thanks Nia, great way for us to remember your impeccable service), even though the envelope otherwise identified me. And the the printing on the envelope was so faint that the printer appeared almost completely out of ink or toner. Standing alone, that would be a small mistake. In context, it reflected the general disorganization we encountered throughout the stay. This place shows a mess from top to bottom. The physical property may present itself as a luxury hotel, but the front-desk service, organization, and treatment of our family was anything but. read more

I was fortunate to have been afforded the opportunity to stay at Hotel Crescent Court at attend a Corporate Holiday Party. A very nice property to say the least. Obviously not in my price point when making travel arrangements, so this was a very enjoyable experience. Staff was very professional and helpful. Valet staff was cordial and quite efficient. The hotel shuttle driver I had to go offsite for dinner was top notch - thanks Rev! Valet parking lot had a nice selection of vehicles: Rolls Royce; Bentley; and a pearl white McLaren just to name a few. Mercy! Lobby was very nicely decorated for Christmas. My room was very comfortable and a decent size. Same for the walk-in shower. Self serve bar was well stocked. Room service was prompt, but prices in my opinion were excessive. For example, a glass of orange juice was $15, then you pay a 24% service fee, and finally there is a delivery fee of $8 - $12 depending on time of day (if I remember correctly). At the end of the day, that glass of orange juice would've cost me between $25 - $30; yikes! Definitely enjoyed my time during this visit. read more

I stayed here on NYE. We had some drinks/food at the bar in the lobby. Ashley was our bartender and she was incredible and so kind. The concierge, Jim, checked us in and was very friendly. He filled us in on the activities the crescent was hosting that evening. Lastly, Amy down at the spa was a lifesaver when I forgot to bring a hair tie! Beautiful hotel. During the holidays, they decorate the common areas so nicely. The entrance is very elegant. The chandeliers are wonderful and very unique. There's a bar on the right side, along with the entrance to Nobu the sushi restaurant. Lots of seating in the bar area with comfy couches, chairs, stools, and tables! We decided to do a staycation to celebrate my wife's birthday. We chose the hotel Crescent Court because of our American Express card. They have all kinds of benefits and made it worthwhile. We checked in late in the afternoon on Saturday and were upgraded to the next category, which was a very nice king size room. Newly renovated apparently and the bathroom was quite nice as well as it was my wife's birthday they did send up some macaroons and candy although they did say when we checked in they were sending up some kind of drink with it but they failed to do that Everyone we encountered in the hotel was extremely nice and helpful. In the morning, we decided to enjoy the pool, which is quite small and only has about 10 chairs by it so there's a lot of jockeying for position. There is a bartender who shows up around noon and stays behind the bar. He can get you food if you want to order . Of course it's quite expensive but you know that because you're at the hotel Crescent Court. When you check in, be sure to ask what all the fees that you will encounter. There is a resort fee that allows you to use the spa services as well as the gym. These were not pointed out to us when we checked in and we did not avail ourselves of these Amenities. Overall, the hotel is nice, but it apparently needs a bit of a makeover. You can tell it's tired in certain places and even though the service is good it's not up to other five star facilities in in Dallas in my opinion. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at this wonderful hotel. Since the moment we walked in all staff have been very friendly and helpful. Starting with the valet out front who despite being out in the Texas heat, are still able to keep a smile on their faces. Check in was quick and easy. A manger has been on floor everyday we were here. The view from our room was beautiful. I will say the pool could use a little more love and scrub but it was still a nice dip in the evening. We asked on the way out in the morning for new towels and sheet change and within 2 hours on return it was completed and our room tidied. We loved our stay and will definitely be back! read more

This hotel has all the makings of being a very nice destination and I truly think we were victims of poor timing more than anything as the hotel lost power completely during our stay, we also had a fire drill (false alarm). Things within control were the lack of attention with housekeeping, closing room service 2 hours earlier than the menu stated and the poor quality of the food. We would be willing to come back as we have a wedding in the area of April of 2024 however I am unsure my wife will agree. read more

My review is for the trendy Beau Nash bar in the Crescent Court lobby. The lounge area is huge - with a bunch of tables and a bar that runs almost the full length of the lobby. A great list of specialty cocktails, tons of Bourbons & whiskeys and an adequate selection of vino. Great service in our Covid world - with plenty of cleaning and a bar staff active in safety measures. Wonderful surprise was the House-Smoked Brisket Quesadillas- these came highly recommended by the bartender and were REALLY good! The made to order Guacamole bowl with chips looked great also. Stayed recently for our anniversary "staycation". We were received at check in with wonderful hospitality and provided complimentary beverages from the bar as an anniversary gift. Our room was very nice. Clean, comfortable, and great view overlooking the pool. The pool experience was not the greatest. It's somewhat small for the caliber of hotel this is. It was extremely crowded, and many guests were having to sit / lay out on the ground as the lounge chairs were all being used. The crowd wasn't the entire issue. We were poolside from 2:30 - 6:00, and we never saw anyone come through and service the area. When in the pool itself, there were several clear plastic cups floating around. We had wonderful experiences at both Beau Nash for drinks, then late dinner at Nobu. Overall, good experience. Just a little disappointed in the pool. We have had great stays at other nice hotels, but they all now allow paid pool passes for non-hotel guests, which can really make for a disappointing pool experience. We chose Crescent Court because it's only for hotel / spa guests. It wasn't awful, but it's a small area which fills up quick, and can get very loud (there were many obnoxious guests during our stay), and the lack of clean up (towels/trash) was a disappointment. For the price we paid for our stay, would have expected higher quality service for the pool amenity. read more

This hotel is centrally located in downtown Dallas. Beautiful courtyard and lobby. The staff is friendly, proactive and the room was clean. I stayed overnight with my daughter. She just turned 18 and I wanted to do something special-stay somewhere fancy. The 4 star rating is because the room is just a room. Could be any room at any other average hotel. I guess I was just hoping for a bit more. At my low priced $325 on a Sunday, just feels way too much. I looked ahead at future dates, these small, average rooms go for $800 on some nights. Hotel Crescent easily draws admiring gazes, living up to its luxe label with a polished facade, posh lobby and bar, and a newly redone interior to match. Some remodeling was still in progress during our stay (will conclude in Feb 2018), but the only way we could tell was from the smell of fresh construction and a few workers; the noise was undetectable during our visit. We stayed here for two nights while celebrating my husband's birthday in Dallas and we were touched to find birthday cupcakes waiting for us in the room. The name of the game seems to be comfort, with plush carpeting, comfortable mattresses, and a rainfall shower. Modern touches such as the motion-detecting bedside floor lights and dimming bathroom mirror lights were also a nice touch. Our room had a great view of the city and pool area, and with so many shops, bars, and restaurants at a walkable distance, we were happy to leave our cars parked for most of our trip. Speaking of cars, valet parking is available, but we opted for the far more affordable self-park option underground ($12 max weekdays, $5 on weekends). The folks at the front desk were politely cool and cordial, and we appreciated the turndown service each night. At these prices, Hotel Crescent is definitely a huge (and somewhat painful) splurge but we had no complaints about our stay. read more

I am at a loss. I have always dreamt of staying at The Crescent. When my sister and I were finally able, we were utterly heartbroken. We were greeted by a less than helpful front desk associate, but little did we know, this would be the least of our worries. After entering our room & settling in, we noticed an overwhelming scent of animal urine & a general itch. After we requested to be moved rooms, our next room was particularly discomforting as several bug bites began to appear on both of our legs (see attached photos). We were hung up on by the new shift worker, so we decided to "pack up" as directed by said worker & discuss refund options & ultimately leave the property at midnight. The front desk associate, who went by the name of Keelie, let us know that she was not willing to aid us in any way, nor could she speak through our concern. She expressed that she was not looking for "confrontation". Let it be noted, the last thing we wanted after a long day of travel was to relocate at midnight, but The Hotel Crescent left us with absolutely no option. I highly recommend spending your money on any other surrounding hotel other than this one - do not waste your money. read more

Place smells like a musty basement. Even the room-service girls told me the place has had poor ac and ventilation lately. They moved us to a room suite with more hardwood flooring, which helped out the musty carpet smell. Called down for a few blankets for tv watching, and in 1 hour, I still haven't seen squat. I'm not getting why this hotel comes in at 3 1/2 stars. We stayed in a modest level king bed room and everything was hotel perfection. Perfectly clean, well appointed, comfortable bed, amazingly attentive housekeeping service (both during the day and in the evening again when we returned after dinner...pillows plumped, sheets turned down, etc.) Every single staff person from the valet guys, to the doormen, to the bellhops, to the front desk personnel were attentive, courteous, and totally dialed in to attending to their guests. We did not eat at one of the hotel restaurants, but the signature Old Fashioned at the lobby bar was terrific. We enjoyed the pool both days and look forward to another day there before departing. And as you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a great restaurant around here there are, of course, a ton of great restaurants around. We just parked the car and took Lyft to dining destinations. There is not a single negative thing to report about our three days here. I highly recommend this hotel and we plan to return as soon as we can. read more

The Crescent easily has the prettiest facade of any hotel in Dallas; if Louis XIV were alive today - he would move here. Versailles has more expansive grounds, but this hotel is far more beautiful. Convenient valet parking, plenty of bar and food choices - both on the property and nearby, easy check-in, responsive concierge, and tasteful room appointments put this beautiful hotel over the top. In-room dining was high quality. In fact; the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs were outstanding! Scrambled eggs, toast, etc - all good, but the breakfast hot chocolate needs a LOT more chocolate. NOTE: extra chocolate fixes everything! The A/C was slow to cool our room, but I think our neighbors had the heat on. (Makes it hard to cool.). Complaints include not being able to check in until 7pm. I waited in the lobby from 3p-7p, literally told every 45 mins " it should be ready soon". I'm all for allowing families that need a late check out to have this, however communication should appropriately occur. I was comped breakfast the next morning, and STILL ended up costing me out of pocket without even adding a drink order! A 22 dollar breakfast burrito? Why?! I would never get this unless it were free, and yet, it didn't end up being entirely free. A lack of explanation around room service vs the in hotel restaurant lead me to just Uber eats an order because the women answering the room service phone was very short. She said there was no room service, only Nobu. Still not sure that's true? A mini bar is in the room, with the smallest of spaces for your own food. Literally, a small tubberware would not fit here. 7 dollar cans of coke ftw. Everything about it felt very mid-90s, maybe how a tv show views Dallas, and not a local? Pros: friendly bar staff, as we spent hours together. Friendly front desk, though limited on problem solving. Bed was nice enough, though just a Beautyrest. Shower was hot with good pressure. They brought a mini fridge to my room when asked, and while the guy that did this was absolutely friendly and accommodating, the fridge they brought was questionable and moderately dirty. I recognize this sounds entitled, but when something is ridiculously expensive, all guests should be treated with the utmost care, and I just didn't see that. read more

Beautiful hotel located in Uptown Dallas. The rooms are clean and modern. We loved how comfortable the bed was! The lobby is beautiful! The biggest highlight of our stay was the valet staff. Matt, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was excellent. He offered to use the hotel's car to drive us and pick us up from both lunch and dinner! Who does that? Such a gentleman and a complete professional. He also gave us great insight on dining and bars. Thank you, Matt for making this trip so memorable! You really showed us Californians what Southern hospitality is all about! The only reason we took a star off is because it was impossible to get through to the front desk/housekeeping. Also, the showers water pressure was too low. Aside from that, the hotel was awesome. Hopefully they will be able to bring on more staff, as the phone issue seems like an easy fix. read more

Hello, The property is definitely a prestige property and very beautiful. I have been in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for 50 years. We visited your restaurant and have been very happy. Unfortunately our partial stay at your property on July 28 was not a satisfactory experience. We actually left that same night. The lady at the front said she wasn't going to check us out that she was going to have a manager call us the next day, we never heard from anyone. We were very unsatisfied with our stay to begin walking in there was a little bit of a wait at check-in so I decided head to the bar. There wasn't a bartender available and nor anyone ready to assist us. After waiting I decided to go ahead and go back and continue the check in. I would've expected a lot better reception at the bar. Secondly, we had services scheduled at the spa, that was not the greatest experience. My granddaughter was dehydrated (I had no idea since she arrived earlier), she had a massage scheduled and the masseuse proceeded with a massage not advising the her that it was not a good idea she have a massage even after mentioning to her that she was dehydrated. After the massage she was severely sick and had to be taken out by paramedics. The cleanliness of the spa was certainly not satisfactory. However due to the commotion with my granddaughter getting so sick in their wet area I failed to even make any comments about it. There was hair on the wet area floor and scum on the side wall tiles needles to say disgusting. We asked for a high floor so that we may see the city lights in the evening. They just agreed, we weren't advised till a later time that there wasn't any higher floor available that wasn't a presidential suite. We were there to celebrate a birthday that we didn't celebrate we ended up leaving the same night. So I spent I believe it was $469. $200. for basically nothing. That is certainly not what I expected from the Cresent hotel. What saddens me the most is that I have shared this information with several people and no one has taken the time or consideration to contact me in any form.
