Spice Market, which was Vietnamese. Venazu, which admittedly I didn't visit. And Rubra, which has a $200.00 tasting menu. There's also the pool food, which was perfectly adequate. If you're more of a vacationer than a traveler, then I think you'll find your stay here more than enjoyable. It is a hassle trying to get an uber to get you to the airport or to puerto vallarta, but there are also 2 or 3 other hotels in the area, so there may be drivers around. Regarding my experience, I was slightly annoyed that I didn't get a Marriot Elite upgrade to my room (the hostess said since I booked with points, that was a no-go). In reading someone else's Yelp review, they mentioned they at least got free breakfasts, which annoys me even more now since I wasn't offered that. Your room is fine at night but once you are sick of the party at the pool and want to relax you will hear the loud club music come through your room. You will be bombarded by people bringing their loud speakers or locals that have day passes for, not kidding, 17 pesos ($1) singing out of key drunk the entire time there. When you ask security to ask them to move to the loud pool they never come. Again not asking them to be kicked out everyone vacations differently but asking them to go where there is a pool specifically for their style vacation. However, the resort encourages this by playing loud party music at the quiet pool most of the time. By the way bet it doesn't say anywhere online when you book that the first night at a so called 5 star hotel you will be told that your first day you have to eat at the buffet and there are no other options for you because the booking system shuts down at 3pm right as you check in. Don't get me wrong to be honest the buffet is the only good food you will have the whole trip so after staying here I see why. The restaurants are terrible food. Not to mention half will be closed due to not being at capacity. Forcing you to not have options when you pick where you want to eat. The worse by far is the Asian restaurant. I do want to say service 50% of the time is fantastic at restaurants but sometimes it's barely can be called service. Alcohol. You will not get what you paid for. Liquor is watered down forcing you to stick to things that can't be altered like wine or beer and not always the best for a long day at the pool. The pool will be broken 90% of the time with so much junk pushed into the pools from drinks. And the staff at night will just push all the stuff off the pool into it vs into the brush. Which was disgusting. You will be forced to be in their timeshare presentation and if you decline they will hound you daily until you do. Even if you politely decline several times. I also met several that are a part of the palladium travel club and their experiences are not worth a penny they already spent. Oh and we had a poisonous scorpion in our room on the second night. When we asked the staff they said they never see them. We thought we had been stung so we went to the doctor and he said they are there all the time. Why the need to lie about scorpions I get it we are in the jungle. Overall this resort (better referred to as a brothel) has gone down hill massively since we last stayed in 2017. If you would like to stay here fly to Mexico and find a travel agent in the city so you can take advantage of the cheaper pricing because to spend more than $1 a day here is way over spent. So I have to get back in line and then go back to the bellman??? I will give the front desk clerk Credit for sensing my frustration and doing the right thing and coming to get me to let me know the room was ready the only plus doing the whole experience thus far. -while waiting decided to grab a bite: when I say the food is reminiscent of the worst cafeteria experience from way back in the day it reminded of why I took my own lunch! Has a breath taking view of the Bay of Banderas. You get excited when you see the iguanas as they are large and fun to watch. Until you are floating in the lazy river and have multiple pieces of iguana fecal matter floating next to your face and realize why the water is so murky. Some of the daytime staff is really nice and want to be of service while you are on vacation. The rest of the staff, especially the night staff do not care. They will remind you over and over you traveled during the wrong time of year, apparently we came three weeks late for international travel. This is according to Management, Carmine (Night Front Desk Manager) made it clear we are not welcome and should have known this time of year is for locals only. Even met a Canadian family who had the same experience with management. That you have to be ok with the extremely limited food options and hours of operations. That running out of hamburgers or potatoes is a normal thing. That you are at a Mexican resort with NO Mexican food. This is hands down the worst service I have ever dealt with. Especially when they tell you the commercial grade pesticide they spray multiple times a day on property, while swimming in the pools, is safe for you and your family to breathe in. Yet, the employees spraying it are wearing commercial grade masks to go with the commercial grade pesticide being sprayed. Four different occasions this happened, covers your entire body, you get a mouthful of bug killer and chemicals while trying to relax on vacation. They are saying it's safe to their patrons, safe to breathe bug repellent. Just absolutely floored over that. They could spray in the middle of the night, instead middle of the day while it's at capacity. Off property is great. Lots of things to explore and do. Will be coming back to Mexico, will not be coming back to this property.

In your room, not only do you have a mini bar but there's an entire drawer full of snacks and they leave you goodies that turned down each night. The housekeeping staff always did an amazing job and paid attention to detail. The food at this resort is absolutely incredible! When I asked about switching rooms, the front desk hinted that paying extra would "fix it," which felt extremely unprofessional. Very disappointing. It's an older complex but it's well maintained. Luis (on-site manager, Gardener and maintenance guy) is very helpful. Martha (the owner) was very accommodating and made our stay very easy. We were in a 1-bedroom unit, but they also have 2-bedroom units.
