My friend and I recently spent four nights in room 101. It was the perfect setup for 2 friends traveling together, who appreciate their own beds and their own space. There was also a small kitchenette, fireplace that came in handy on a very cold rainy day, and a living room area. The TV only works if you have a YouTube account. It was not important to us, but it may be to you, which is why I mention it. While some may describe it as 'shabby chic',we thought the rock walls and exposed beams were charming. We enjoyed looking out the big windows that overlooked the inner courtyard. The squirrels were quite entertaining. The bathroom was large and included both a tub and shower. While our reservation included breakfast each morning, we only ate there once. We found fruit, breads, pastry, boiled eggs, coffee, and juices. It was perfectly fine, but we found a nearby pastry and coffee place we enjoyed more. We'd happily stay here again if ever in Quebec City. read more

This was our second visit to Hotel Le Priori and we have loved both stays! We arrived quite early so our room was not ready yet, but they held our luggage so we could go explore the city. When we checked back (still prior to regular check in time) our room was ready and they had already transferred our luggage there. We stayed in a suite, which is across a small courtyard from the main hotel. It's a big, cozy suite with a large living area with an electric fireplace, a kitchen, two beds, and a very large bathroom. A nice breakfast buffet is included with your stay. On our last night, the entire lower town lost electricity for four hours, but the staff handled everything very professionally and were super helpful. They handed out small flashlights and had the stairs illuminated with glow sticks. We were concerned that it would get very cold since the temperature outside was 19 degrees fahrenheit (-7 C), however those old houses were built to keep the cold out and it honestly did not get cold at all. We would not have even realized the heat was out if it weren't for the lights being out as well. If you're looking for a place to stay in the quiet Lower Town, we would highly recommend Le Priori! read more

We are only staying here one night afterglow getting off the cruise ship. The food has been excellent. And they have a beautiful patio out back. I will let you know how our night goes.DO NOT STAY HERE EVER. Check in time is 4:00. We should have gone to another hotel. They told us to go outside and they would call us when the room was ready. I think the lady lost his phone number. I know that the cleaning crew will never work on a ship and make good money. We stayed outside until 3:00. There is no onsite parking but there is public parking arranged by the hotel that is a short block away. What a wonderful place to stay after a day of skiing. My friend and I were able to score the room with the private jacuzzi on the balcony. It was amazing and had tons of jets. The room was two levels, offing a nice retreat upstairs (sitting area, balcony, jacuzzi) and another sitting area downstairs. On our second night there, we downgraded to a room sans jacuzzi, however the hotel upgraded us to another suite. The room was a bit smaller and lacked the second level, but still was really nice and spacious. There was a nice jacuzzi tub and a wood-burning fireplace. The staff also moved our luggage for us while we were out skiing. The breakfast in the AM had everything you could ask for, including bacon, sausage, fresh flaky croissants, eggs, potatoes and delicious lattes and cappuccinos. The hotel was in walking distance to everything you'd want to see in Old Town. I would definitely return in a heartbeat. Two blocks away there was public parking available at reasonable rates. There is a hidden lot on Barricade and Dalhousie that charged 10CAD for overnight parking. The outdoor lot closer to the hotel charged 18CAD for about 8 hours. read more

Beautiful boutique hotel within the walled city of Old Quebec. The good: Friendly staff, full breakfast included (provided by highly rated on-site restaurant Toast), outdoor covered seating for restaurant, elevator, clean, modern, stylish, Nespresso machine in room, mini kit., TV in view of bed, great shower, extensive toiletries, plush robes & slippers. The not-so good: Cold water in jets of Jacuzzi tub (rm 302), not much of a view (but quiet!) and the hardest bed I have ever experienced. I asked for a feather topper and was provided with a mattress topper. I asked for a feather bed again the next night and was provided with a 2nd topper, neither helped. At all. It was like sleeping on the floor. Finally, the wettest scrambled eggs I've ever seen. Maybe that's a French Canadian thing as everyone else was digging in. Overall a wonderful experience, enough so that I will drag my own memory foam topper along next time. read more

The loft-type suites are pricey, but HUGE -- 1200 square feet, featuring a contemporary living room, working fireplace, and full kitchen. More apartment than hotel room! Staff is wonderful, fluent in English and French (as are most, if not all of the business people in Quebec City), and the hotel itself is sleekly designed, inspired by Phillipe Starck. We had an amazing stay at this hotel! We had one of the suites so there was plenty of room for 4 of us. The building was updated and the bathroom was also amazing. The lobby had water and coffee/tea throughout the day, perfect for some cold Quebec weather. They also served breakfast in the morning with some of the best French eggs and croissants I've ever had, and the waitress in the morning was extremely kind and attentive. Hotel Le Priori was absolutely perfect choice for our short visit in Quebec City. Located at the bottom part of the old town it is near by some of the most picturesque areas around. The access to the upper parts of the city goes through number of steps and steep streets, but do not worry, you need to earn your drinks.... Back to the hotel, we booked a contemporary suite, which was gorgeous. Very spacious room, modern design blending with the old construction. The room itself was located in separate building with individual entrance that does not require to go through the reception, that certainly gives some sense of privacy. We had little kitchenette with Nespreso coffee machine, beautiful bathroom with jacuzzi bathtub, little lounge area in front of the TV, everything to make you feel comfortable. The hotel doesn't have its own parking/garage, but provides access to the nearby public parking, where you can keep your car until 3pm after checking out. The breakfast was included in the room rate and it was fairly good, but I have to admit I would prefer to have the choice to opt out of it as I love exploring the coffee shops when I wake up in a foreign city. Anyway, no more complaints as the breakfast provided for a lazy Sunday morning. The personnel in the hotel was extremely helpful. No doubt Le Priori is on top of my list for accommodation during my next trip to Quebec City. read more

Everyone is friendly & professional from the front desk (Vanessa) to management! Thank you for our Birthday wishes & our bottle of "bubbles"! If you can treat yourself... look at the hotel packages for a great marriage to a evening! Our birthday dinner at "Toast" did not disappoint! We supplemented our package to the 6 course tasting menu... EXCELLENT! After a 3 hour dining celebration we simply strolled upstairs to our super comfortable queen bed! It doesn't get much easier than that! As we are taping this review out we are again in Toast for breakfast (we can't seem to leave the hotel) before we go for a walk in Old Quebec! This was once of the best experiences I ever had in a hotel, so I would totally recommend it to anyone visiting Quebec. It is a small boutique hotel conveniently located in the Old Port, so everything is walking distance. Not that Old Quebec is huge though, but there were parking lots nearby and it is a lot easier to access by car than other hotels in the area. The rooms are nicely decorated and the breakfast is good. They also serve great coffee. The staff is so friendly and nice. Before my trip I made a special request for my room and ordered some cake to be brought to the hotel before checking in, as a surprise for a birthday that we were celebrating. They were out of their way and gifted us with a champagne bottle as well. I was sold! The receptionists were also great, gave us great advice and helped me with my French. It felt very personal and I really, really appreciated that. If I am ever back in Quebec (which I hope) I will return to this hotel, for sure. I absolutely loved it! read more

This is a fantastic boutique hotel. Located in the Vieux-port section of Quebec, this hotel is close to so many attractions, restaurants, and shops that you could spend several days and never make it up the hill to the rest of the city. It's about one block away from the Musée de la Civilisation (Museum of Civilization) and two blocks from Petit Champlain, a major shopping/dining/museum district. The hotel staff were amazing during our stay. On a day that we were late getting out of the room, one of the front desk staff took it upon herself to not only clear the plates that we had after breakfast, but straightened the room and brought us more towels. The staff were also very kind as we tried speaking to them in our rudimentary French. They spoke perfect English, of course, but when we tried to converse they were exceedingly kind and encouraging. Breakfast is included and we had that brought to the room most every day for a nominal charge. And it is a good breakfast: can be as light as cereal and croissants or as full as scrambled eggs and bacon. The sausages weren't what I expected for breakfast, but trying new things is a part of travel! We stayed in the room called La Onze, or 11. The room itself was fantastic. Called a suite, it wasn't exactly multiple rooms, but there was a sitting area with couch and chair with great light to read by and large screen TV (channels in both French and English). The bed was comfortable and the area behind the bed was a dry bar with table and counter to eat and, and behind that was the magnificent bathroom! Can't say enough about the bathroom. The shower was large with both a rainwater showerhead and a hand held sprayer. Both with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. There is also a soaking tub with air jets. Not quite what I would call a "Jacuzzi" tub, but really relaxing after a hot day of walking up and around the old city. The only downside to this particular room was the location within the hotel. In summers, the hotel restaurant Toast! serves in the courtyard. The room is right on the courtyard, and while there are screens and curtains for privacy, the fact that we could hear people out there enjoying their dinner meant they were just as likely to be able to hear us. I think this room would be just about perfect in the winter time or for people who like to stay up later than we do. One unique upside to this particular room is that it can be reached from an alley next to the hotel. Coming and going can be achieved without going through the hotel lobby, making it quick and easy to get out and about. It would also allow this one room to be more accessible for folks with mobility issues, for what that's worth. Most of Quebec is NOT friendly to people needing help getting around, but this one room might allow one less obstacle. We never did eat at the restaurant. Neither of us like seafood and we never were in the mood for what they offered. Less seafood and more vegetarian choices would have improved the chances that we would have eaten there. Great hotel, a really nice treat for us. I'd come here again in a heartbeat. read more

Spent two days at Le Priori. Excellent experience. My wife and two sons were in the Newtone suite. It was very spacious and easily slept the four of us in side by side beds, a King and a Queen. The King bed was the best hotel mattress I can recall. Morning breakfast was a delight. Perfect French eggs, delicious croissants and local yogurt. Our waitress was Helene, who was charming and attentive. I would certainly recommend this hotel highly. By the way, across there street is restaurant Matto where we had our best meal in Quebec City. read more

Absolutely one of our favorite hotel experiences. Their front desk ladies are EXCELLENT and very accommodating. They are so very nice! They sent champagne up to us to celebrate our anniversary which was so kind. We were in the building behind the lobby so the suites are spacious. The actual building is beautiful. So old European and quaint! They provide daily bottled water, coffee, and tea in their lobby. Their breakfast was a perfect way to start our day. Our room had a jacuzzi tub which was a relaxing way to wind down and end our days. Modern boutique hotel in the Old City. Both deskman (am and pm) were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are on the smaller size, but perfect for two people. The bathroom had a glass shower with multiple jets. The room includes a safe deposit box and nice wardrobe to hang things, wall mounted LCD, and wifi was excellent. The inclusive breakfast was a nice touch (fresh fruits, eggs, ham & cheeses, bagels/breads, oatmeal). Fantastic location. I would definitely stay here again. read more

I can't speak highly enough of the location - on an adorable little street right around the corner from the wonderful restaurants and shops in the Petit Champlain and a quick hike up the hill (or a ride on the funiculare) from the attractions at the top of the city. The staff was very friendly and the suite was both comfortable and more spacious than their photos led us to believe. After a 7 hour drive up from New England, you want to be happy to walk into your hotel. And happy we were! Though our room was *cozy*, it was clean and had character. And most of all, it was quiet (though we were told it can get loud in the summer when people hang out in the courtyard below the window). The bathroom is TINY (and the sink is actually in the room, European style) but the shower has fun jets in just the right places to get a thorough clean (Americans would never think of this). Wi-fi was quick and free in the room and breakfast was plentiful, fresh, and delish. Parking was easy at the meters one block over. We lucked out by getting a broken meter and never had to move the car. The hotel is a quick walk to everything in the Lower Town and just a few minute, uphill walk to the Upper Town. This is THE PERFECT HOTEL if you are visiting Old Quebec. The location is centrally located. They provide parking only a few minute walk from the hotel for a very nominal fee. The hotel is gorgeous and the rooms are very contemporary and beautiful. Believe it or not, a large breakfast is included in the price of your stay which includes eggs, sausage, bacon, pate, ham, fresh yoghurt and fruit, croissants, lattes, espressos......and more. But, the best part of our stay was their staff. They can't be any more pleasant, helpful, and happy to help you have a wonderful stay in their loved city of Old Quebec.
