They have you register your car and put a slip on your dash, so you know they're on top of parking. Our full size beds were clean, firm, with nice sheets and fresh pillows. Spacious room with lots of shelves. Air conditioner worked perfect! Huge window for our kitty to look out and entertain himself. Clean bathroom with a new, clean, modern shower stall, and strong water pressure. Very generous with towels. And ice - 2 machines next to the office. Vending machines and laundry room. Oh, and a clean mini fridge for just $5 extra! There's a Denny's restaurant just yards away - so inviting to go have breakfast at. Great coffee. The employees were all genuinely friendly and caring. The icing on top was the professional caring manager Ely! She sincerely cares that your stay at this Motel 6 was a great one . My boyfriend and I will definitely stay here next time we come to this part of San Diego.

I looked for something local and inexpensive, just a spot to crash for a couple of days. Motel 6 in San Ysidro had the best rate I could find online at $51.29 a night (plus the crazy hotel taxes). Since we needed two nights, I called to check if the walk-in rate was any cheaper. Nope! They quoted me $113 a night. So I booked two rooms online. For the price, I wasn't expecting much, and the room delivered exactly that. It had two metal-framed full-size beds, a TV, air conditioning, and a basic stand-up shower. The beds were incredibly squeaky, the room was dusty, and you could tell the floors had been mopped with a DIRTY mop. My feet turned black just walking around, so I had to wipe the floor down with a towel before we could comfortably walk on it. The cats collected an impressive amount of dust bunnies, it was pretty gross. The room we had smelled like smoke (there's no smoking in rooms in Cali), the shower was outdated, the sinks were stained and missing their drain plugs, and there was no TV remote. I went to the office to get one, but the first one they gave me didn't work. After calling the office, someone brought a working remote to the room. The walls were thin, so we could hear the guests upstairs squeaking in their metal beds, and people talking loudly outside at odd hours. At least the air conditioning worked really good. You really do get what you pay for. I wasn't expecting much, and they definitely met my low expectations. Thank God it was only for two nights lol

The rooms are small, with all the usual amenities, plush bed, and space is utilized well.  Staff is very friendly, attentive.  There is a really awesome bar with indoor outdoor seating and the chef/bartender Miguel  great stories and life experiences from his world travels he's willing to share. Drinks were good but a bit expensive.   If you are a couple who want to be in the downtown TJ area to experience nightlife, this might be the place for you.  However, the hotel doesn't have its own parking, as it is off-site, not oriented for families or those who have difficulties moving around or in need of ramps.

I felt safe. *Bar was clean and great environment. *Close to all the Bars, Casino, Clubs, & food. *Bar Waiter is great and attentive. *Drinks are great, loved the Whiskey Sour. *Bathrooms are clean with hot water. *Loved the hotel environment and the artistic atmosphere. *The hotel gives discounts on parking. *Decent coffee by the reception desk. *AC was working. Cons: *No way to cancel rooms. *Rooms are a little pricey for the location. *No free continental breakfast. Just some small cakes and postre at the reception desk. *Bed sheet had stains. *Pillows are too soft. *Bed mattress was okay, I prefer firm mattress. *The room I stayed in had a huge square hole on top of the closet. *You have to park your vehicle at the 24-hour Sorianas Parking Lot. It appears to have no security, so park at your own risk. *Hotel is not exactly located at a great location, I witnessed a robbery and an on foot cop chase. *Loud music that you can hear in your room until around 2:00 am. But it's not too uncomfortable. *Can hear doors slam from other rooms. Final thoughts, I would definitely recommend it, and I will stay again.

But hey it's a brothel hotel so we should already be expecting that. Compared to other brothel hotels I've been to around the world this one is very nice lol They have been trying to improve it though. They built newer rooms with nicer decorations and refrigerators, updated the restaurant Azul that's attached to it, and have comment cards for you to write comments and suggestions which I don't think anyone reads lol They make you give a $30 deposit if you get one of the newer rooms for the drinks that are in the refrigerator in case you drink any. Also a separate $10 deposit for the remote of the tv. The older rooms are shitty so sucks if you get stuck with one of those cause they have been being fully booked a lot recently. Another thing to note is that when you walk up without a reservation they almost always tell you they are sold out. It's always noisy too so don't think you're gonna get good night sleep here. Sound of high heels walking down the hallways at all hours of the night, drunk fuckers being loud and making noise while walking in the hallways as well. So it's hard to relax unless you're really far away but still then always someone making noises or moans from fucking. The walls are thin lol There are 2 entrances. One on the red light side where the street girls are and the one in the front main entrance for hk. You can exit hk on either side and go up with a girl so it's still convenient. If you wanna go up low key with a girl and not let the whole club see you then go out the back entrance. Less eyes and you won't be seen doing the walk of shame back into the club haha enjoy! Check out my review for hk for useful tips and pictures of the newer rooms.

this place is a complete nightmare! don't come here if you're disabled. they were sued back in 2004…read moreso not following the american disabilities act. at first, the relationship with them was okay but things turned sour after that. i read the comments from molly w. below and she was absolutely right. i'm disgusted with this place. i ended up with all kinds of illness from this place. this motel is the scum of the earth. i ended up with food poisoning, water poisoning, black diarrhea, vomiting with blood, the flu, a respiratory infection, folliculitis, etc. i had friends visit me and they saw what a filthy, sewer, trash this place really is. i even had to call the cops on mona; the "woman" who "works" in the office. she literally shoved me out of her office for nothing and then locked the door for no reason. at one time, i even gave her my rent my money and she took my money order and ran off without even giving me a receipt. not only that i saw mice, roaches, bed bugs, spiders and all kinds of nasty bugs. ewwww. no wonder why i'm sick. no light on the porch, no number on the door, my shower would feel up with sewer water. it's just a disgusting rathole of a place. i wouldn't rent my worst enemy here. they should shut this rathole motel down and build the wall right here! don't rent from these ripoffs!!!! don't come here unless you want to be severely ill and to be taken advantage of. P.S. I forgot to add that one day I was walking out and there was a mouse outside one of the rooms. ABSOLUTELY VILE!

The team was clearly hustling with the crowd, but they still delivered excellent service. Got upgraded to a Junior Suite on the ninth floor for a small price difference--worth it! The suite was a step up from the standard room with better views, a faster WiFi connection, and extra toiletries like a shaving kit, shoe polish, and more. Plus, they had a Samsung smart TV, which should honestly be standard in all hotels. Check-out is a breeze at noon--just drop the keys in the box, and you're good. Loved the bag check service, so I could explore without dragging my stuff around. Ordered the Original Burger with skinny fries from room service--delicious, but it came wrapped in plastic (I get it, but still). Shoutout to the staff for keeping up with the holiday rush; make sure to tip if they're vibing with you! Definitely coming back!
