From the months leading up to our stay to our initial steps into Grindlewald from the train station they thought of every way possible to make our stay extraordinary. We were there from Christmas Eve through the 30th and had the most magical Christmas. They brought a mini Christmas tree up to our room upon request so we could have an authentic Christmas morning with our kids. Staff reached out months prior to find out our son's names and then Father Christmas himself handed out personalized gifts to every child using their full names at a Christmas gathering. Even for the adults was a once in a lifetime experience. Skiing from this hotel location is a Breeze. Couldn't be a better location. The views are incredible. The pool table was one of the huge highlights of our stay. Food is amazing. Breakfast easy and divine. Can't say enough. You meet the owners and their family. You feel the love and care they put into the place. We've told everyone it's a place you must visit!

Highly recommend getting breakfast with your reservations as their breakfast brunch is really decent. Definitely request room with view of the Eiger as the view is absolutely stunning. We also tried their cheese fondue experience in a gondola and worth the experience.

There were many options for hotels in Grindlewald and I'm very happy we chose this hotel! The view…read morewas unbelievable from our room. We had a huge patio on the 1st floor(floor above ground floor). The room was very spacious, with multiple table/seating areas. The bed was pretty comfy. The front desk lady was so sweet. We received two drink vouchers for the restaurant within the hotel. We never used them since there were so many restaurants to choose on the Main Street. This hotel was about a 9 minute walk from the train station and about a 1-3 minute walk to Grindlewald First Top of Adventure. We also had breakfast here and the offerings were very good. They had eggs, delicious bacon, and an assortment of bread. The lady at the front desk arranged a shuttle to take us to the train station the morning we left. We will definitely come back and stay here again!

4.5 Stars if I could…read more Pretty good location, kind of between the main parts of town. Close enough to everything yet quiet. First Mountain cable car is maybe a 1 minute walk away. Great Mountain views from the rooms on the front side of the hotel and the patio. Nice breakfast every morning - a mix of European and America style. We only had dinner there one night - a pretty good multi-course fixed menu for 30 CHF, which is pretty reasonable for the area. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. What would have to change for a 5 star rating? Better parking, slightly larger rooms, more electrical outlets, and better towels - all pretty minor things.

Where do I start with my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at?…read more So this is in the small town of Grindelwald, and getting here by public transportation is SO easy. You can walk from the station with your luggage, it's not that bad. If you rent a car they also had parking available too! It has everything you need: amazing rooms with views, a restaurant, bar, spa, a FREE laundry room, gym. I knew coming here it would be my time to relax and not really do much as I was traveling other places before. I picked this hotel for many reasons, but basically what I listed above was it, and once I arrived, everything exceeded my already high expectations. I had room 106 and it had the LARGEST patio ever. It came with a double swing, patio seats and table, and where do I even begin with the amenities in the room. A fantastic bluetooth speaker, bathrobes, slippers, coffeemaker, cups, wine glasses, etc. It was the most comfortable room ever. Spa was hands down just as gorgeous as it looks. Seriously message me if you want me to gush more. If you plan on wanting ZERO plans and just hanging around taking advantage of the hotel, this is your spot. The staff worked so hard- Dominique I saw you each morning for my FREE (included) breakfast and she was so attentive and sweet. Roger, my massage was AMAZING. Fabulous technique! I want to hug everyone who was there for my vacation 2/21-25 THANK YOU SO MUCH! If you're on the fence, you shouldn't be! BOOK THIS NO MATTER WHAT you will feel right at home! They even gave me parting cookies at check out, like for real, you guys are just magical.

It was pretty cold, so I asked if they have warm wine in their menu. Our sweet server got so excited! I learned she made it herself--it was perfection. For the main dish, we went with her recommendation, and I'm sooooo glad we did--the smoky flavor in the sauce was incredible, chicken was so juicy, and the spinach was delicious! Definitely a place I'll come back to next time I'm in Grindelwald. One of the best meals of all time!

Cheese fondue: Really good!! Rich, creamy, and great taste. Nuggets and fries: The nuggets were juicy and tender and perfectly seasoned and breaded with a nice crunch. Fries were good too and they came with mayo and ketchup. Mayonnaise was far better than anything I've gotten in the US. Ketchup was normal. Red rivello: I was very surprised by this drink. It tasted like a smartie made into a drink. Sort of like a the original red bull flavor but a lot better. Toblerone Mousse: This dessert included a scoop of strawberry sorbet, Toblerone flavored mousse, bits of meringue and small mint leaves. The sorbet was delicious, I only tasted a small amount of Toblerone in it but it was still really good and the meringue mixed in fantastically. The mint was a nice touch as well. Environment: We had a great view of mount Eiger and the chairs were comfy. Service: Waitress was enthusiastic and engaging who brought us everything we asked for. Food was brought quickly and everything was cooked to perfection. Overall: 5/5 Incredible place! If you are visiting Grindelwald I highly recommend.
