Hospitality should make you feel welcome; here, it felt like they couldn't wait for us to leave. As for Wengen itself, it's undeniably beautiful. The mountain scenery is spectacular. But beneath the postcard views is an overcrowded, overpriced destination packed with tourists. After experiencing it firsthand, I don't understand the hype. Between the inflated prices and the lackluster service, it's simply not a place I'd spend my money on again. The scenery earns five stars. The overall experience does not. I won't be returning.
