Every member of the staff are always friendly and helpful, not to mention knowledgeable about the surrounding area! They give great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. The hotel itself is wonderful. Always very clean and welcoming but not sterile or harsh. It's perfectly situated across the road from the beach, which makes it marvelously easy to spend all your time there if you wish. A quick jaunt across the street and you're in paradise. I love waking up to the sound of the ocean (if I can hear it when we have the air conditioner cranked as low as it will go!) and being able to relax in the pool with a nice view. The view of the gulf from our room was wonderful as well, looking out over the ocean and into the distance. You can see islands during the day and lit-up boats at night! I'm not a big morning eater but what they have, I enjoy! My traveling companions are hotel breakfast aficionados and they absolutely love the breakfast here. You can order freshly made pancakes with loads of topping/inclusion options, have some down-home biscuits and gravy, and even a glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice!! My only small complaint is that the wifi was very spotty. I had to log in literally every time I opened my phone or laptop. It's possible that the connection issues had something to do with us being in a (very nice) corner room? I'm not sure. I never brought it up with the front desk because I'm not here to be online anyway and I'm not sure if any of my family asked about it either. It really is a great place to stay, and reasonably priced to boot!

I am not particularly a fan of how far it is from home. It does serve as an adequate backdrop for events. The curb appeal is evident although the event space is much more updated (which is a benefit IMO). I have never stayed the night here nor do I see that happening in my future. My last event there I did hand the bartender a $20 but received change for a $10 and she was adamant that I had only given her a $10 though my 2 $20s were now down to one. I didn't want to ruin the ball for everyone around so I decided to not make a scene. But that really left a bad taste in my mouth. I have attended the Sunday Brunch. The price was steep considering the mimosas were around $9 each. Seriously, I am in the middle of nowhere- I would expect a much more affordable drink when the brunch is already over $30. The brunch was fine though. I will not be attending brunch again.

Sarah made to where our employees had access dine/have cocktails at The Thorney Oyster Restaurant, Cosmos' Restaurant and Hinge Bar using our office account. This is our second year staying with the Pearl and they do such a wonderful job handling our needs. We look forward to being back next year. I highly recommend staying at the Pearl Hotel.

I have been in the military for over 20 years and this was one of the nicer Navy Lodges I have…read morestayed in from when I came in to where they are now is great. There was a time you didn't want to stay at a Navy Lodge because you never knew what you were going to get. The room I had contained a sitting area with a pull out couch, decent sized fridge (two complimentary waters) and TV (lots of channels). The bed was extremely comfortable (queen) and had plenty of plugs for your electronic charging needs. The wi-fi in my room was blazingly fast, and the bathroom area was huge (no tub), but the water in the shower was scorching hot if you wanted it that high. Depending on the room you get it is 30-40 bucks cheaper than everything outside in the city. The breakfast in the morning was good on the two days I stayed there and the attendants were friendly and helpful if you may have had some other requests than the options they had set out.
