Terrible! Personnel members are THIEVES!…read more Dishonest! Stay away! My 77 y.o. handicapped mother stayed in this hotel in during May 6-9, 2016 in the room 420 as a part of a tourist group. As soon as the bus left the hotel, she realized that she forgot two small bags in a drawer of her room's furniture. The bags contained 800 Euro cash and some other valuables. The tour guide immediately called the hotel, but they refused to admit that they found anything. Their cleaning ladies from Slovakia and/or the receptionist were there first in the room to take what was forgotten. I called hotel many times, talked to receptionists and to manager Sylvia Binder, wrote them by email, but they all refused to give anything back nor investigate the case. I told them I will call police, but they understand that I am far away and the bus is gone not to return back, thus it is not easy for me to do so, so they took advantage of us and shamelessly stole our money and stuff. The location is a beautiful park-neighborhood of what once were the gardens of the property, up on a hill top, and if you get the room with a view you see the town at your feet. The breakfast is great. It has both hot and cold choices, and taking it on the veranda is a great start of your day- eggs, hams, breads, cheeses, pastries, fruits, yoghurts, there's a bit of everything here and only €5 if you'd like to have them bring it to your room. The public transportation works and there's a bus station right outside the hotel. I'm about 45 minutes you're downtown. Via Uber it's about €25 (depends on time and traffic) and about 25 minutes to town center so public for €5 and a full day pass is a good option. The carpets and furniture do show the aging of this ex-palatial residence. We personally didn't care for the extra steps to the bed- the room is built as a comfortable loft- but our knees hurt from all the walking in this fantastic city! Lovely stay. Enjoy!

The breakfast was out of this world - so many options and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The people who checked us in and out were superb, they put our stay over the top. Also make sure at the resevation that you get a room not to the main street because the railway is close. However: The rooms are very clean, furniture, eqipment & bathroom are renewed. And last The breakfast is also excellent.

Peaceful, historical, family owned and a close walk to everything that you need…read more Andrea and crew, including Lina, the dog were warm and added to the great stay. The rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are comfortable. The windows open for fresh air and there is air conditioning as well as heating in the room. What makes this place unique is the outside seating in the front lawn/ garden. I enjoyed having my breakfast there and one of my first Viennese Coffees. Steps away are trams to take you into the city, a grocery store and one of my favorite restaurants, Liebstockl . Try the grilled and the breaded fish. Convenience, comfort and warmth made this hotel a nice home away from home. Its nice to sometimes patronize a multi- generational Viennese family hotel instead of always going to a large corporate hotel. I recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to return.
