I am a member of this Hotworx franchise and I joined a while ago and cancelled my membership only to renew it again back in spring of 2025. Here's the thing. I easily get bored and I got bored of Hotworx so yesterday (12/29/25), I went to the gym to cancel my membership and I was surprised that I was not allowed to cancel it without the owner's approval. It was shocking because I had never heard of such a policy. Jordan, the trainer and employee there stated that every cancellation has to go through the owner, Michael first. I asked her why. She said she didn't know why. She took down my name and phone number and said Michael will call me. So, I waited until 4:00pm on Tuesday, December 30th and I called Jordan. She apologized again and said he was busy and that she would message him again. I then told Jordan that I felt that these practices are unethical and I should be allowed to cancel my membership. She then apologizes again and says he will call me today. Previously when I cancelled my membership, I had to pay a fee to cancel. Now, they are trying to prevent you from canceling all together. I am writing this review as documentation for my credit card company too. Jordan said my credit card will not be charged but I don't believe her. Nothing is in writing. The gym is a nice concept but they make you jump through hoops to cancel your membership. Also, you can't even cancel electronically, you have to come in person. read more

I've been working out here twice a week for three weeks and I like it very much. Why? 1. 24-7 access. I can work out on MY schedule. 2. I feel very safe here. The doors are always locked and you can only enter with your Bluetooth or PIN. 2. You can turn the sauna on or not and still get a great workout. 3. It's easy to book your workout on the app 4. Other people who go here are friendly and actually say "Hi" and "good morning" to each other. I feel like we're a part of a community. 5. There's gym equipment outside the saunas if you so desire. 6. I signed up about a month ago to get ready for my wedding, and I can honestly say I love HOTWORX Anaheim Hills so much. I have never sweat more in my life Every single class leaves me feeling like I got such an effective, full-body workout. I've always hated going to traditional gyms -- not just because I never really know what I'm doing, but because of the environment. They're always crowded, and I constantly feel like people are judging my workout (maybe cause idk what I'm doing lol). I'd end up feeling self-conscious and second-guessing everything. HOTWORX is the complete opposite. It's never crowded (in the best way), and the guided classes make it so easy to just show up, press start, and focus. I don't have to think about what exercises to do -- I can actually concentrate on pushing myself and getting stronger without feeling watched or overwhelmed. As a runner, I love getting a solid cardio workout in, and I also love that I have options. If I want a recovery day, I'll do Hot Stretch or yoga. But if I want something intense, the HIIT classes are no joke. Two HIIT classes back-to-back will literally rip you -- in the best way. I leave drenched and feeling accomplished every single time. One of my favorite parts is the setup. The classes fit up to three people, but it feels semi-private. If you book a solo session, it's kind of an unspoken rule that no one jumps in with you, so you usually get the sauna to yourself -- unless you bring a friend, which I absolutely love doing. You can bring friends up to three times each, and I'm constantly trying to get my friends to go with me. Every single person I've brought has loved it. The studio is always clean, the vibe is positive, and everyone who works there is so friendly. Mike is especially great -- always welcoming, helpful, and genuinely supportive. It's been such a game changer for my wedding prep and overall fitness. If you want an intense, effective workout without the intimidation of a traditional gym, this is it. read more

I have been going here for a few months and I can't say enough good things. The staff is soooo nice! They cheer me on every time I come in. The place is very clean and they are cleaning the whole time a staff member is there. I love the flexibility of the program where I can book a class in an hour if I find some time last minute and I like that if I need to cancel a class right before I can do that with no fee. I always feel safe going there. I am much more toned in the few months and have already gone down a pant size. It's the first workout place I have gone to in a while where I'm excited to go. There's a lot of incentives to get free months, apparel credit, etc. and best part is you are dripping sweat and burned 500 calories and all I did was an hour. read more

My sister and I have been going to this location since September 2022. The pre-recorded workouts have been so effective and provided a great overall routine and structure for my workouts. I've really enjoyed the ability to switch between HIIT and isometric workouts, and try classes and exercises that I wouldn't have before. I love the ability to schedule my workouts ahead of time as it helps motivate me to actually show up for the class, but also for myself. Major bonus for the 24/7 access and knowing that I'm safe inside with the automatic locked door for workouts when it's late or before the sun rises. Shout out to Jenny! I love working out at Hot Worx in the Anaheim Hills festival center. What I really like about the workout is how unique it is. I simply pick a time and class I want to do, go on the app, and schedule it. The room is waiting for me and the virtual trainer is ready to go. I not only receive the benefits from the cardio workout, but the infrared sauna helps with healing and recovery. Not to mention I sweat sooo much. I think the customer service is excellent and the people who work there are super nice and knowledgable.
