I tried HOTWORX and it's definitely a unique workout experience! This place is 24/7 for members, which is super convenient if you have a busy schedule. If you're new, they offer your first class free, which is a great way to test it out. Be ready though... you will sweat. You're basically working out inside a sauna, so it's intense but kind of cool as a concept. They do have showers available, which is a plus after a session like that. Just a heads up, you'll need to use their special branded mat since it's made for the heat (about $5). A couple things I didn't love: the TV in the sauna is placed pretty high, so your neck might start to hurt during the workout. Also, the video itself wasn't as engaging or energizing as I expected for a guided class. Overall, not a bad spot if you're looking to switch up your routine and try something different! read more

I recently left a review at 4 stars but have decided to bump it up to 5 after seeing immediate response via yelp and in-person. The folks at the front are saying hello as you walk-in and I've seen them wiping down the glass more often. Overall the operations, cleanliness, and customer service of the gym is pretty solid. One idea that comes to mind is for them to consider doing demo days. Whether it be a day where they let members demo the hot buns or hot bandz class with complimentary accessories provided without the rental fee. Another demo idea would be to allow members to test out the scented sprays that they have for the mat / saunas. As an operations person at my workplace, these are just ideas on ways to engage with your clientele and hopefully increase sales! Keep up the great work, Hotworx Staff. The staff is energetic, friendly, and professional. They have a wide variety of video guided workout options in the infrared sauna rooms. (something most gyms don't have). They provide free weights as an added bonus. monthly challenges are a plus. Members receive 24 hour access with unlimited workouts in infrared heat. I have been passing by this gym and always wanted to check it out and I finally did. You can schedule a tour and workout one time free. That's what me and my friend did. The gym is not that big. It's called Hotworx because you are working out in a hot sauna. There are 8 different rooms with scheduled time slots. The classes are virtually instructed. The room capacity is three people only. There is a small general area for weight exercises with barbels. There are two bathrooms and one has a shower (if you wish to shower there). Once joined you have 24HR access but the staff hours are limited meaning sometimes there will be no staff available. The hours and times are posted on the door. And staff hours is not 24/7. All the staff I've encountered this far are very helpful and very nice. Everything you do at gym will be scheduled by appointment and by the APP. There are plenty of time slots. The gym is small but I like that you can do your workouts semi-private (because it's in a room). It is always very clean, kudos to the staff. Cons: They got four stars because, it is pricey and for that price you can only come to this location. If you want to be able to go to other locations you have that options but for a higher fee. The APP is wonky with workouts (it doesn't always record my calories and workouts). Another con is you must purchase their mat and towel which is also pricey. But overall I like the membership and I'm loving the work-outs. read more

Let me just tell y'all, HOTWORX certainly has me HOT--and not in all of the ways that I originally enjoyed. (And all in less than a full week!) Alright, let's hit the rewind button for the sake of context. I found HOTWORX online and was interested in the idea of hot Pilates, so I took them out on their free first workout offer. I got to the studio and met with Tiana, got a tour, and loved my session. I felt so great that the next day, I came in to purchase a monthly (local) membership. When I got in the store, Tiana wasn't there but there was a younger white brunette woman (I believe her name is Shailyn or Shayla [?]) standing behind the counter, and a younger Latina woman with curls sitting nearby at a table with what I'm assuming was a potential client. The white lady totally ignored me, which was mystifying because I'm thinking, "Even if she does have some baseless vitriol toward me [again, we haven't ever met yet, but she's got stankface mayjah], ain't shorty about her coins enough to maintain her composure and earn a commission!?" No way. So I went "He--" but before I could complete my greeting, a different woman walked in from outside and the entire tone and tenor of the room changed! The staff member who had just totally ignored me started talking and giggling with the woman like... Like a damn normal, decent, engaged person in a client-facing role that operates as the face of a brand. I'm standing there hella confused, the gym guest shimmies off to get her workout wound up, and now we're back where we started. The woman steps away from the counter, puts on gym attire, and finally the girl who had been sitting at the table comes to help me. Obviously, not the best introduction to someone. But I'm not here to workout with or Shai-whatever, I'm here to get my flex on. So I set up my new membership with the lovely Latina girlie who got me good-to-go. All until... Around 4:55 P.M. (I mean, who's counting?) on September 10, 2024, I went to HOTWORX in desperate need of a workout and some relaxation and ooh, lawd. I watched as this same young woman stared at me through the glass doors complacently, typing away on her laptop instead of taking the time to intervene or rising from her seat as I tried to get the door to open when it wasn't recognizing my access code. When she eventually opened the door, I entered and she again sat down and ignored me. I continued to stand there, puzzled, and asked if she could help me figure out why the code I was provided wasn't connecting to the door panel lock, but at first she didn't respond. After a few more seconds, she said in an irritated voice that that's what she was trying to do. I would have been totally fine to wait as long as needed for her to do that had she just communicated that: 1.) that was what she was doing; and 2.) that she even knew my name. As you may have gathered from the length of this review, it doesn't feel like we've had much actual conversation and I definitely wouldn't think she knew my name. I don't know hers, really, except that I'm almost positive it begins with "Sha-" or "Shai-" something. When I reached out by telephone and email to HOTWORX, I was never contacted back. I repeatedly let them know that I loved the studio, the concept, and the experience, but I'm not going to tolerate being treated unfairly--and why should I? Totally out. I will say, I loved Hotworx when I joined. I enjoyed the connivence of it being 24/7 and booking saunas through the app. Unfortunately some things have really fallen short. During the beginning of my membership they had double charged me which is basically $200 instead of $99. While talking with the manager at the time they were trying to go through the "back end" and figure out why that had happened. I ended up having to dispute it with my bank as they told me they are unable to issue any refunds on their end. Annoyed, I moved on. I then ended up getting pregnant which then made me come into the facility to notify them and try to cancel as sauna workouts were not going to be happening for at least 10 months. They talked me into a freeze which I was told was a $9 fee each month. After a month of a freeze payment I was confused on why it suddenly went up to $14 but decided to ignore it as maybe she had misspoke about the fee cost. A few months later I see another $99 charge. I guess the account had come off freeze and with pregnancy comes forgetfulness. I guess I assumed there would be a curtesy phone call or message about the freeze term coming to an end and they said they do not do that. At this point it wasn't worth the continuation so I went in yet again to cancel. They stated there was going to be a cancellation fee as I had not been a member for 6 months. The thing is I have been for longer than 6 months but paused during the time due to pregnancy but they stated my time on freeze does not count towards the membership time even though they still take money. I stated that it was ridiculous as I physically can no longer workout in their saunas due to health but again, they said we can pause it until after your due date. I sign the freeze agreement again with the new manager, unhappily, and left. April 1st I see a $9 charge for a freeze followed by a $99 fee. I immediately contacted them and they asked for proof via email. I sent the proof to the manager after the woman on the phone stated they don't see that charge. She then put me in hold and said "I do see it actually but it hasn't been posted so give it a few days and it should go away". When I told her on my end it was already posted she said the manager would handle that. After an email to the manager a few days went by when I followed up asking for an update as the charge was still on my account. She said they were "looking on the back end" and they could give me a month free whenever I come off a pause. At this point I am so over all of the back and forth and false and incorrect withdrawals happening from my account. I do not understand how a gym cannot issue refunds and or get their payment methods correct. Again, it is a luxury gym with a luxury price and it is only fair to people to do the right thing. I also want to add that when you sign up for a membership you do have to pay a lot for their mat, towel, and any other add ons for any other classes you want to sign up for such as bands. It is expensive and their lack of consideration for reoccurring incidents is frustrating. read more

I am so excited that this studio is open! I have been waiting for a place like this in the area for a long time now. This is a 24 hour studio where you can go and engage in various types of heated workouts in sauna rooms including things like hot yoga, pilates, barre, hot cycling, hot rowing, core exercises, glute exercises, and a ton more. The owner and management staff are friendly and highly responsive and the space itself is very clean. The self serve system is easy to navigate and understand. They walk you all through it when you register. You will need to purchase their mat and towel if you intend to do any of the hot yoga type exercises, but this is for good reason because of fumes and gases being expelled by random mats that aren't compatible with a hot environment. What I love about this venue, is that it truly is 24 hours a day which for me is awesome, because depending on the day, I may need to do a very early or very late workout. You get your own access assigned at registration. The rooms themselves look from the outside like they are a bit small if you're going during prime time with three people in a room for a yoga workout but I've tried it and it's totally doable so don't let that deter you, plus they have plenty of options for different time slots. Also, the routines the instructors run you through are specifically designed for the space. The workouts are pre-recorded, and they cycle them out monthly for a variety. There is also a weightlifting area and a bathroom with a shower. If you're into an easy convenient way to get in and out and enjoy the benefit of heated workouts, than this is totally the place for you! So I just want to start off by saying I walked in here and was greeted with a smile right away, the girl Sheilyn gave me a tour around the gym which is beautiful by the way and she was very informative I will say but once I said I would think about joining and continue with my 3 day trial their attitudes just completely changed. Her and the manger Tiana became very snobby - always with a stank face and would just fake way greet me. Especially that Tiana girl, not only that but I started to notice how unprofessional they can be, you can tell they talk about people that go in there and work out. Which made it very uncomfortable for me. They also have a contract for 6 months and if you choose to cancel within that time span you have to pay a $90 cancellation fee. Yeah, I'm so glad I didn't join and you might as well save yourself the time and go to another hot worx or another gym. read more

This new gym has been a great addition to my workout routine. I love the security measures they offer & the staff is very friendly. There are multiple classes at various times so you'll always have a good amount of training you can get through. They offer cycling, rowing, iso, etc. The app used to set up class reservations is fairly easy to use as well. I love the positive vibes and infrared sauna workouts. I visited this place for the first time. The equipment is nice but the seats on the bikes aren't designed for plus size Butt. The infrared heated rooms will make you sweat while you workout I really liked the instructed based video so that's a plus! My experience was ruin tho because the Manager Brandon "From Detroit" was not nice at all. Not willing to help, ℹ exclaimed this was my first time but his lack of willingness to help ruin the whole experience. I asked for help with the bike seat several times, he repeatedly voiced how to do it, as if I was doing something wrong finally I asked CAN YOU DO IT? He went to turn the knob it was so tight he struggled with it himself! Trying other equipment he was still unwilling to help and when he saw that I totally didn't get how to use the equipment he showed signs of frustration, Brandon was not pleasant to deal with read more

UNPROFESSIONAL & DISHONEST Management from hell--1 - Customer never got a copy of the initial agreement which was signed electronically in their office. when they asked them to email it, they refused. 2 - On the mysterious "agreement", apparently HTWX gives themselves the audacity to charge customer for 3 months after u quit. Complete theivery!! 3- Additionally, they LOCKED customer OUT OF THE GYM FOR THOSE 3 MONTHS. 4 - Then the Manager tried to charge customer's account for a 4th MONTH! They owe customer basically for 3x$79=$237.00. DO NOT TRUST THESE THEIVES. If they don't like anything about you, they will screw with your bank account. Interesting that ---(is that all ya got?) the 5 measely reviews are all from a year or 2 ago? Besides all that, they have repetitive in-house material, and rooms are so small, you can't do all your yoga moves comfortably. Also, the rooms don't get aired out, or sanitized afterwards. But that might be tolerated if these managers were honest and professional, which they are not. read more
