Was introduced to Certus Crossfit by my brother who was already a member. I was initially intimidated by "crossfit" as a whole, but was looking for a new fitness routine. I soon realized that any one no matter your age or fitness level can do crossfit .... I started at 46! Every movement can be tailored to meet you at your fitness level. With the help of the supportive coaches and "good job" fist bumps from the other members, workouts at Certus quickly became something that I looked forward to and have now become part of my daily routine. I've met some really great people who have become friends not only inside of the gym, but outside of the gym as well. The programing is great, the coaches are knowledgeable and helpful. I am not a "gym guy", which is probably obvious to those who know me personally. And I was extremely reluctant to start going. But since I've been working with him, I'm feeling stronger, more sure of myself, and stepping off a curb doesn't have me reaching around for a handrail anymore . I had tried working out on my own for years! And I would either end up injuring myself, or lose any commitment I had. Having someone like Rob, to make sure I'm doing an exercise correctly, and not hurt myself, but also to encourage me to improve, has been just what I needed. He pushes me, but also listens to what I'm wanting to do. Recently, I said I wanted to do things to help with fishing (core muscles to help with hours and hours fishing at sea, casting strength, reeling heavy weights up from hundreds of feet down, etc) and he has put together a slew of exercises that are definitely helping! All of the machines seemed like they were bought yesterday, but also super high quality. Despite the size and lack of room of most gyms, JB had everything I needed for my workout. Squat rack, free weights, a spot for deadlifting, one the newer hip thrust machines. I'd highly recommend it, most certainly would be back again.
