The demo and recon was done by the lowest bidder, corners cut at every turn. The parking lot is a disaster and is an accurate measurement of the depreciation of the property, you almost need 4 wheel drive to maneuver around the creators. The management has their hands full, hiring mostly based on desperation not experience with No incentives. This club is trying to sell you as a "Premier club" but only to charge "Premier" costs. It's unjustifiable. Don't be fooled, this place is Only aging and is Not a good place to invest in yourself.

I am the rookie and one of the oldest, 54 and feel like I don't belong. I have done 5 am, 5:30 and 6:30 pm. I have been in a few classes with what I call the 1%ers. These people are the fittest people that I have ever met. They are also some of the nicest. I don't know why I get anxious to go to class because no one judges me. All they do is help push me to be better than I was 60 minutes ago. I'm sure in time that the anxious feeling will go away. I know with their help that I will become the best version of myself. My setback is my shoulders which limits me severely in doing many lifts. They keep me as positive as possible so I don't give up. I can truly say they care. If you have any doubts about joining this gym, they will put them to rest. All you have to do is take the classes for a week. Great instructors and great athletes. As a retired military veteran, I have never felt obligated to post a negative review about…read moreanything, until now. I have been a member at Crossfit Kinesis for more than three years. Everything was great until recently when I became injured. I was then exposed to a side of the owners, Kyle Kasperbauer and Nissa Cohen, that I had never seen before during my time as a client at CFK. After visiting my Doctor about foot and ankle pain, I was instructed not to participate in Crossfit for at least two months as my Achilles needed down time to heal. As the contract states, if a member develops an injury, he or she is allowed to place the membership on "Hold". I contacted Kyle and Nissa via Facebook Messenger to discuss my membership options while healing. I have saved all written and electronic correspondence. Kyle messaged me back via Facebook Messenger and stated, "In regards to your membership, please email info@crosffitkinesis.com. Nissa and I no longer handle membership holds or changes." This was an immediate red flag to me. For an owner to state, they are not involved with membership holds or changes is frankly, inconceivable. But, per their instruction I followed their process. I emailed info@crosffitkinesis.com on Jan 30, 2019 and received no response. I emailed again on Feb 1st with no response. I then contacted Kyle and Nissa via Facebook Messenger on Feb 5th stating that I did not receive a response from info@crossfitkinesis.com. I received NO RESPONE from Kyle or Nissa. It was clear to me, they were purposefully ignoring my questions to prevent me from placing my membership on hold. I drove to Crossfit Kinesis to address my concerns with Kyle and Nissa on Feb 11th, a full 12 days after my initial message to them. Nissa was present at the gym, but not available to talk. I was able to talk to Kyle privately. I explained to Kyle my disappointment with him and Nissa and their process. As a business owner myself, this is not how I do business and it's not how I expected to be treated as a paying member. Kyle was defensive but did apologize and assured me that whomever this "mystery person" is that has been assigned to monitor the info@crossfitkinesis.com would be dealt with. His response was comical and somewhat incoherent. It is painfully obvious that he is fully aware of what is going on and he and Nissa are hiding behind the info@crossfitkinesis.com to ensure they do not lose the residual income. My understanding is that several current and ex-Kinesis members have experienced the same treatment when dealing with injuries, membership holds or leaving Crossfit Kinesis. I would encourage all of you to take a stand and not tolerate poor treatment from a business who does not appreciate their clientele. Kyle and Nissa preach of community and bible verses. They walk that path as long is it does not affect their bottom dollar. Shame on both of them. Arrogance and ego, along with a lack in the understanding of what it truly means to be part of a community, are Kyle and Nissa's downfall. It's been a little over a month since I joined and I have loved being able to sign up for classes at any time of the day in a 24 hour period, being in the sauna by myself or the max of 3 people. It has been the perfect self care regimen I've needed since the weirdness of the pandemic and the world getting to a new norm. Walking in I was honestly super intimidated -- the machines look terrifyingly confusing and everyone looks like they know what they are doing, so naturally I was shaking in my boots not knowing what to expect. However, upon walking in I was greeted with smiles and they took me to my machine to show me a few of the moves and how to operate it before it started. I had a little card with my name on it welcoming me, a sweat towel, and a free boxed water. I had to buy grippy socks at the front desk because I didn't have any (& didn't know I needed them) that were about $15. They had me placed next to a gal who was a pro at PLNK, and thank goodness they did otherwise I would have been absolutely lost. Once the clock starts, there is no stopping. The instructor is always super clear on giving step by step directions to follow so you can understand even if you've never done it before. There are mirrors all around the room, so worst case scenario you can just look at the reflection & see what others are doing and follow suit. Olivia was my instructor for the first PLNK class ever, and she crushed it (or me? Well.. both). The next morning my abs were so sore I couldn't sit up in bed.. literally. I was d e c e a s e d. I really like Pilate-type movements because it's more gentle on the joints, but I don't like the ease or pace of Pilates which is why I love PLNK so much. It is easy on the joints but also has resistance to grow and tone your muscles & get you in amazing shape in no time. This is the first group class I have ever genuinely enjoyed AND seen results from (I have tried many yall.. so that's a big statement for me). The instructors are sweet and the facility is spotless and clean. You will love your experience here!! Tanya and Olivia are definitely the hardest, I haven't been to all the instructors yet but Meghan is awesome for first timers! Your first class is free, try it out!!! TIPS : - they will probably put you next to someone who is well versed in PLNK so you can have a constant guide next to you. Feel free to ask them to do it as well if you're really concerned! - buy your grippy socks before on Amazon if you want to save a few bucks - watch a few YouTube videos on the megaformer before you take your first class to give you an idea of what you'll be doing - stretch prior to your class - don't be scared, you'll do great!!

I wish the instructor spent a little more time helping me. It was a bit overwhelming, but that may also be a normal reaction considering it was my first time. Class overall is very fast paced. It was a great workout, however. I wish the studio was still available through ClassPass because I do not see myself purchasing classes separately through them.
