In 2021, I kept telling my co worker that we needed to look for a workout place to try to relieve some of our work stress. In June, 2022, when she was out of town, I stopped by HotWorx West Omaha (192nd & Pacific) since it was close to work. I was intrigued by the short classes as it had been a while since I had been to an exercise class. I started out with a cardio class (start every 15 minutes) and I was hooked. I always have loved the heat (am a huge fan of Bikram yoga), so to be able to exercise in a sauna was/is great for me. Now to inform my co worker. On her first day back, I had gone to a class over lunch, and when I came back, she noticed I had taken a shower and that my face was kind of red. Her question was... did you go work out, to which I responded - YEP!! She went the next day with me and we have been going ever since. She is more of an all cardio person, whereas I like to mix it up! It also helps that the studio has challenges which "make" us do certain classes in order to get points. I visited this fitness facility on a Saturday but waited until Monday to use my free pass. Once you sign the waiver, you are ushered into a small room with equipment or mat space. I chose to go with the spin bikes. The staffers are not trained to answer questions regarding Exercise Science and go by a memorized script. The class is only 13 minutes long and I just assumed from Saturday's tour they were 30 minutes. There are no adequate spaces to hang up jackets per space, cubby boxes are not large enough to fit thick jackets. There are only 2 restrooms and no locker room space to change clothes. The video workout did not provide adequate instruction for various fitness levels or proper encouragement in my opinion. There was no warm up period when the bike ride instruction started. The first thing the video instructor wanted you to do was to place a large resistance on the bike, get up off the bike seat and start pedaling hard. When I asked the staff member about this, she repeated what was told to her that a warm up is unnecessary since the room is 130 degrees which is supposed to instantly warm up your muscles. I let her know that's not what happens when describing human physiology. The superficial blood vessels dilate, bringing blood to your skin and not to the gross skeletal muscles such as the glutes and quads that require this valuable blood to help ride up these hills. I think I caught her off-guard and she realized I wasn't going to sign up for a membership. Dry heat exercise can be helpful if you take special precautions such as warming up before your session. Static stretching is not a warm up. I would suggest going to the free weight area and performing lunges or body squats 5 minutes before your activity. Also, hyper hydrate with only cold water and drink cold water during your 13 minute session, regardless of what the staff members or video instructors tell you when to drink. I wish the video instructors would be certified by The American College of Sports Medicine which would greatly provide instant credibility especially when dealing with many clients of all fitness levels and any medical predisposition. Lastly, the video should always provide the opportunity to stop or slow down if experiencing specific symptoms during your activity. read more

This company operates a highly anti- consumer subscription model that is against multiple consumer protection guidelines and regulations. (set by banks and card processors) If you sign up with them and no longer wish to use their MONTH TO MONTH service - they will charge you 2 months and $99. If they do this you have the ability to dispute these charges under the FCBA (Regulation Z) guidelines related to subscription charges. My bank returned all funds back to me because of the blatantly unethical business practices. EDIT: Also asking consumers to come in and cancel a recurring charge on a credit card violates merchant processing regulations with Mastercard and Visa (which is part of the reason I won). Don't give in to those bully tactics. Ask for an email - send the email to cancel and keep it for your records. read more

Have tried this place in a couple different cities and have been patiently waiting for one to come to Omaha. One of the best workouts I have ever done, working out in the infrared sauna adds another dimension to my workouts that I didn't know I was missing. Many options from Hot Yoga, Hot Cycle, and numerous other HIIT and ISO workouts. Would definitely recommend. read more

Its not a year contract and it seems possible to get in and out in a short amount of time with out much fuss for a work out. I signed up in March because this is one of the few workout places that could stay open during Covid due to the fact they can limit 1 person to a room at a time. It is a different type of workout then I am used to, and I like that! The staff, especially Grace is very friendly and helpful. I am a little surprised by the review stating that it is hard to cancel. They have always been cheerful, welcoming and helpful with any questions or concerns I have had. Do not sign up for this place. My wife signed up for a "3 month trial". We ended up being charged for 5 months. We were told the first month didn't count because it wasn't a whole month long. Then we tried to cancel after 4 months and we were told we could only cancel on the first of the month and had to pay for that month! Highly expensive and terribly hard to cancel. Was lied to about length of contract multiple times. Had to go visit place to cancel. read more

I really like HOTWORX overall, but I would absolutely not recommend the 192nd location. I would rather throw away the $50 I spent on this month's membership than go back. I booked the FX Zone to workout before my infrared session, and when I showed up, there were two people, somewhat socially distanced, already using the space (mind you, COVID practices state one person can use the Zone at a time, unless you're close friends/family and using it together). When I talked to the staff, I was told "Sorry, most people don't book the Zone." But remember, I DID book the Zone, because I intended to use it. When I reminded the staff that I did book it because I wanted to use it, I was told, "You're more than welcome to go back there too." Seriously? The space is barely built for two people when it's not an active pandemic, so I'm not going to jam myself back there with two strangers. I was clearly upset and not interested in that poor solution and it didn't seem like it mattered at all to the employee. You'd rather lose a customer than remind other patrons how to use the space. If you're between locations, save yourself the trouble and sign up at the midtown location instead. The staff at Midtown have been amazing. read more
