My pup, 8 months, was well treated and looked great. He's a miniature schnauzer. The technician followed my instructions too.

Hound N Hair is simply the best groomer I have ever been to. That is after thirty years or so of owning small fluffy dogs. My Toy Poodle Louie loves "uncle Bob" and his team. I drive for 40 min to get there because it is a super low stress boutique shop where the animals really feel loved .I am always complemented by people on the street about how beautifully groomed my poodle is too! This is a great find and they know how to groom Bichons! YAY. Just recently took new pup for 1st groom. He had a great experience, was very happy and looked gorgeous. Have had terrible grooming experiences with my other Bichon, who I recently lost. The staff is very friendly and it seemed like all the other dogs that came in were happy to see their groomers, tails wagging. I am very happy that I found this place (thanks to Barbara at B's Boutique up the street). Worth the drive from Gainesville to Warrenton. I just picked up my sweetheart from Hound 'N Hair. They are amazing!

I previously met the owner of this business on the street with his dog. Very nice. So when it was time for our English Springer Spaniel's next grooming appointment, it thought it was time to check them out. When I made the appointment on the phone, I told them that our darling gets a "field cut," not the "show cut." However, when I went to pick her up, she had her first show cut ever. Oh, well. A little shocking, but all I could see was "adorable." However, getting home and looking her over more closely, it became clear that this was bad grooming! She has two 2-3" circles on either side of her breastbone that are skin-bare, compared to the fur all around. The fur on her belly is unevenly shaved, and she has the appearance of a strange wrinkle in her forehead caused by uneven shaving. Lastly, her ears were left straggly and uneven. My husband and I had to trim these ourselves. (The rest of the mishaps will have to wait until her next grooming, I'm afraid--at a different vender!) read more

After losing my regular groomer, I had a very difficult time finding a groomer who could do a good job on my standard poodle (specially the ears & feet) & put up with her strong personality. I went into their shop because it caught my eye, it's really cute, when I entered & asked for an appointments for a strong willed Standard Poodle (She thinks she's a guard dog) they asked to meet her and set the appt. They assured me they'd be fine with her, I told them again how every groomer muzzles her for her legs & feet to be groomed. I picked her up a few hours later & she had never looked so good! They said she was a perfect lady & they didn't know what the other groomers were talking about! I couldn't be happier & for once Jewel, my poodle, seemed to actually like the groomer! :) They really seem to know poodles, I saw several other poodles of varying sizes in being groomed there as well. :) I highly recommend them to Poodle owners! :) read more

Love this place. My female Cavalier can't wait to go in each time, and comes out beautiful and happy. They listen and comply with requests for special shampoo, different cuts, or any other suggestion you have. They always make time, even when busy, to work us in and do a fantastic job.
