We have been going to this place for past 2 years. Always giving a benefit of a doubt. My Yorkshire terrier always comes back with a super duper short hair cut looking like a cat. Hair grows so I didn't mind as long as she was happy getting groomed. Our dog stayed from 8/12-19 for boarding and grooming to be done when I was picking her up on 8/19. The front desk told me she moved her ears during grooming and her ear got cut so he won't charge for one day of boarding. After we got home we found multiple scratches on her body along with a choppy haircut on her paws and face. I called and sent the pictures to the owner. He apologized and told me a free grooming next time. But I don't think I'll be sending my dog here again. read more

Lovely Pet Salon is great! I'm so glad that I was able to find a groomer for my two dogs, Maltese-Shih Tzu mixes, who don't get groomed regularly. My dogs have high separation anxiety and get freaked out in new/unknown environments, but were able to adjust quickly at Lovely Pet Salon. We were able to get an appointment the same week that we called in. The owner is very kind and the prices are extremely fair for the quality of the services and what I've seen in this area. The shop is very clean and well-kept. We were able to choose what length we preferred and explain what kind of "look" we wanted for the two of them. The groom for the two dogs was fairly quick compared to our previous experiences with other groomers. When we went to pick up my two pups, they looked adorable with their Saint Patrick's Day bows/ribbons and smelled great. It usually takes me over 30 minutes to try and trim their nails at home, but now their nails are trimmed, cleaned and look better than ever. I was worried that they'd be stressed out, but they were happily hanging out and actually got the zoomies when they came home. Bristow location -- They rushed my dog's grooming appointment and damaged his cornea. They never told me about it or alerted me to any issues. My dog was rubbing his eye with his paw after the appointment, I ended up taking him to the vet and he had a scratched cornea. When I called Lovely Pet Salon to complain they told me he was very difficult but never communicated this to me until I called to report his eye was injured. I spent hundreds of dollars in vet bills and my dog was in pain and stressed out, he had to wear a cone for 3 weeks and was on eye drops. I would NOT trust taking your pet here. I will never go back. Went here on this past Wednesday 2/2/23 to pick up my puppy only to find out that her blood vessels bursted in her left eye to the point where she couldn't keep herefopen the next day bc it hurt so mu Alan, who I assume is the owners son, negligently handled my puppy. Alan claims that when he was trying to place my puppy in the table, she jerked the leash that Alan placed on her. Like WTF?!?? Alan claims that when "puppies get stressed anxious or excited, their eyes get red. This is not possible in this instance bc my puppy's eyes were not only red, there were blood vessels that BURSTED causing her eyes to bulge out and there is a deep red mark around her neck where the leash was on. This was done for an extended period of time or many times. I understand puppies can get antsy or move a lot but not to this degree at all where her eyes are shown like in the pics below. They claimed that I was "going too far" when I reached out to them. Now tell me why does my puppy's ENTIRE eyes not only were red, the vessels popped and her eyes bulged out of the socket. This place has clearly mishandled my puppy. I want to bring awareness to this and I don't want any pet owner to have to go through this. When I brought situation to their attention, they simply said "I was going too far" and NEVER apologized neither. There was no empathy at all coming from them. Please be advised. If I were to give them a rating, it would be 0 out of 10. I had posted a review in google before too but wanted to make sure this was on yelp so it has more visibility. My dog is a Maltese. We usually take him to petsmart, but my family wanted to see if we can take him to a private salon to see how they do there. So we went to Lovely Pet Salon which happens to be near our house. I told them what I needed to get done with my dog and they said they will do it. So, when I came back to pick him up, something didn't add up. First, he wasn't even smelling fresh. They didn't use any shampoo! Second, they plucked small hair from inside his ears, which i never ever asked them to do and they never asked me before doing that. This caused an ear infection and my dog was whining for two days straight. I give them a call and asked for a refund. They wouldn't even acknowledge or apologize. Instead, the guy told me I was disgusting for asking a refund. I will never go back there again and would recommend all you guys reading this comment not to go back there. I ended up paying 300 dollars to the Vet. No thanks, I will stick to PetsMart where they actually know what they are doing. read more

Don't let the past sour reviews dissuade you---we have been going here since opening and their grooming skills have greatly improved with practice. Check out the photos of our dog from today---no uneven or missed spots! For a dog as little as ours, haircut, nail clipping, and shampoo/blow-dry was $25 excluding tip. Upon completion, they fit each dog with a cute bandana. Something to consider when reading the negative reviews: it's difficult to trim a dog evenly when they fidget and fight the groomer. Our dog was calm and still throughout the process, and the results show that. If you know your dog hates visiting the groomer, stay with your dog and encourage him to behave. This was our one point destination till now. Recently I found that there is change of owners and prices have doubled. They did a great job for a reasonable price but now I have to look for another groomer this time they gave a weird cut to my dog. Completely stripped off his fur, my dog looks naked! He looks nothing like a labradoodle, my 50 pounder looks terrible. Uneven cut on his face, which looks like a frown... I think even he is unhappy. First time I am not impressed. I brought my dog here for years. Last week was his last grooming here because later I noticed they cut my dog's skin in different places. I don't need a return or refund. At least tell the truth, say sorry and try to compensate your client. But instead they hide it, they don't tell you, unless you notice it and mention it to them. Very Sad! I've taken my dog to other groomers before and while some places were great, the price left a big hole in my wallet. I like that Lovely Pet Salon does a decent job and the price is very reasonable. I will say, they don't do the "prettiest" job but my dog always comes home happy and pretty well groomed. I think that's most important to me. That my pup comes home without any signs of anxiety.
