We just moved to the area and have taken our dogs to Hound Town!! They love it!! It's so clean, plenty of seating with shade, water for the pups and dog toys!! We definitely plan on going more often!!

Riverside needs a decent dog park. This is a bit of a drive for me. Still, there's a lot of nice people here. A few people have aggressive dogs sometimes and there's been a few beefs because they don't control their dogs but overall my experiences are good. There's a lot of regulars and they are all nice. Mostly it's a great time and the dogs all play well together normally. Large and wide open. Everyone shares water and they clean up after their dogs. I would say there's just a few people that should work on socializing their dogs better or keep them home. Still a great place in my opinion.

Love this park for my small dogs. There's a community of people who come here and socialize and they are all friendly. My daughter loves bringing our dogs here. Rarely do any dogs fight seriously. Just please PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOGS. Be considerate because it's a community effort.

You really can't see the place when driving past, but once you visit, it is up a mountain and there is a view of the city. My dog, Mozart, had such a fun time. They have two separate options for big dogs and little dogs which is really nice although, the dogs on the big side seemed really gentle. Mozart got to play with a lot of dogs and had such a good time. There wasn't any aggressive dogs and they all got along on each side. Everyone picked up after their dog with the bags and tools provided and everything was clean. There is water and little tennis balls everywhere for the dogs to play with which is also really cool. Mozart will definitely keep going here!

Need to bring some insecticide for the bees now. Park is great love the dogs and people. Aggressive dogs need to be checked.

The park was clean and nice. Lots of friendly dogs, UNFORTUNATELY: man with 2 Great Danes (male & female) was very neglectful, the male was attacking all other male dogs, and trying to mount all female dogs which put all other dogs on edge. ALSO, a family with 5 young kids brought their aggressive dog in and he attacked my dog and me. They did not try to pull him off me or my dog, and the kids were playing all on the obstacle course not watching their dog.

This is a fun place for dogs to run around and mingle with other dogs. It is kept clean and there is plenty of shade and grass. There is one big section for bigger dogs and there is a section for smaller dogs. Once you take your dog there, they'll be begging you to take them again and again!

I love Hound town, Toki loves Hound town, who doesn't like Hound town. It is the best pupground that we've been to, so far. And everyone has been friendly, responsible and considerate... CHEERS TO HOUND TOWN

Beautiful setting for a dog park.

The Scoop: Very well-kept dog park and friendly dog owners. You won't regret visiting this spot. The Deets: My pup Beesly's second dog park encounter took place at this location and we've been coming here every week for about a month. At first I was concerned about the level of cleanliness of the local puppy park, not knowing what to expect. However, all the regulars here are very good about cleaning up after their pets, so the park stays really tidy and well-kept. The park is split into 2 sides (large & small dogs) and provides several benches for dog-lovers to lounge. It is such an awesome spot --plenty of shade for canines and their owners, mini agility course for added puppy stimulation, tons of friendly dogs with their equally friendly dog-loving owners, and plenty of space for pups to roam. As an added bonus, this park is on a hill and, even on warm days, there is an almost constant breeze that keeps this spot cool enough to enjoy. We mainly stick to the small dogs side since Beesly is only a puppy, and most dogs that come through are social and playful. Even bigger dogs that end up on the small dog side tend to be very gentle/docile and sweet and playful. It's nice to be able to chat with other dog parents and swap tips/advice while we pet and play with each others' dogs. Really is a unique experience that I highly recommend! :)

Sometimes you just wanna sun bathe instead of play.

He is generally just overly excited and wants to run up and greet but i don't let him yet. This couples dog came over and their dog kept trying to mount my puppy. All they did was say "no humping" and let him run around still. I should have known and took him out but I wasn't quick enough. I talked to the lady a little bit and her comments were just very questionable like as if because my dog is a pitbull that makes him the one in the wrong automatically. Their husky completely ignored them and then ignored me and even as my pup was right next to me with his leash , started to try mounting my pup again. my dog didn't like that and a scuffle ensued. I got bit in the midst of it all, and even as their dog had my dogs face in its mouth, they just kept saying "let go" and tried getting him back on the leash. My dog was pretty shaken and even after he stopped, their dog STILL came after mine and bit him in the leg and tried pulling and all they said was "let go of him" like it was no big deal. I was too busy making sure my dog was good and looked at my wound and by the time I looked back they were out the gate and already pretty much gone as the man's wife was saying "that's it," and some other things. before they walked away as i was holding my dog she had the nerve to say "you should still be careful of pit bulls.." and other nonsense. EXCUSE ME?! I did right by containing my dog and the nerve to try to blame it on my dogs breed when it was THEIR HUSKY who wouldn't leave mine alone. I have some good puncture wounds and the fact that they just left is completely irresponsible. I'm guessing it was their first time there like mine but to just leave and not even see if my dog or me were okay is extremely fucked up. My dog is a puppy, i've had him less than a month. He is new to everything after I adopted him from SB animal shelter, and so I wanted to introduce him to some new sights, smells, and other dogs. He doesn't really know how to act so when someone came in I put him on the leash since he gets overly excited. I did my part and felt I was being a responsible owner by making sure he stayed close and leashed even in the park. he doesn't even know aggression because he has never been exposed to anything like that. he is all play. I was by myself and the fact that they didn't even take responsibility. there was no sorry, just running away. The couple was an older couple, looked caucasian. the lady had a hat and sunglasses. don't remember the man too much. we were all talking and everything seemed to be "fine" but they didn't control their dog. I would have gotten their information but the way they left so fast and were already gone by the time I got up is crazy. I would definitely remember them if I saw them. My dog was so defeated, he has a small limp and I had to carry him partly to the car and inside once we got home. i'm very disappointed because it's my first dog and our first time at the dog park. I felt I was prepared to the best of my ability and I know some other people aren't as responsible for their dogs but it's common sense if yours dog doesn't know how to act you take control. This was a lesson learned and I hope that this can help others in the future. i'm more disappointed in the fact that they just left me and my dog like this and didnt even check if we were okay. they were only concerned with getting their dog out and leaving because they were judgmental about my dog and trying to place blame. I'm still in shock.

Located in the back of a residential area, the park features relaxing energy with some beautiful nature / mountain views. If you're looking for a place to see the famous Big Bear Wild Burros (donkeys), they are often roaming around this neighborhood, especially if you take Lakewood Drive to the back of the neighborhood. Sometimes they can be seen wandering around The Ranch Park, especially when it's early in the morning or late in the evening and not super crowded. There's a really nice fenced in dog park (The Ranch Bark Park), but also lots of other features including a playground, climbing rock, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a ADA-friendly walking path. Parking has never once been an issue in all the years that I've been visiting this park. There's a large free lot in the center of the park, as well as an additional lot across the street, and other places in the neighborhood where you could park on the street if you needed to. No structured bathrooms, but lots of porta potties that are regularly checked and usually pretty clean.
