My boyfriend and I went on a two week long vacation, and he had to board out French bulldog for the first time. My bf was understandably nervous, but the staff at Hounds Town did an incredible job of reassuring us of our dog Cosmo's wellbeing! They were communicative, personable and posted tons of photos each day of all the dogs playing and having a great time. When our travel plans changed, they were accommodating with us picking him up early. I wouldn't leave my dog there. His bed came back full of another dogs hair which leaves me to believe tgey just put any bed in any dogs cage or suite. I asked for a bath for my dog and all they did was charge over $30 and sprayed him with spray shampoo. Nasty staff one is racist. When we confronted about the bed and bath issue. The staff member rolled her eyes and said we leave the beds all together. I found that they are just there for the money and if you confront them with issues they srug it off. Not good to do business with. They used to be amazing but this newly hired staff is inexperienced and too young to understand good business practices yet alone care for my dog. I had recently adopted a dog with separation anxiety and needed the day care service. She had also been attacked by other dogs and was full of stitches at one point before I adopted her. She was never aggressive and would just cry like she was going to die when left alone. I had no choice but to leave her at Hound Town during the day or I would have had to return her as had happened to her in the past. One day when I picked her up I saw that she had been attacked by another dog. She had two dried blood ,teeth marks on the right side. She had a 6" long dried blood, cut from a claw down the left side. No one who was watching her seem to notice the attack or the blood on both sides of her. I called and spoke with the manager the next day she stated it was indicative of dogs playing. 10 months later she still has the 6 inch scar down on her side, easily visible as her short hair is raised on the scar. One day I picked her up and could tell she had kennel cough. I had no other choice, but to drop her off again the next day and they did not question her symptoms. She caught the kennel cough twice while being here at Hound Town. My dog would come home with the stench of urine and it felt like syrup mix all over her rear from sitting in urine all day. In the four months, I had to use this place. I think I saw one person in there that was over 25 years old. They would all scatter from hanging out in the front when I would walk in early to pick up. This was a horrible place to have to leave this dog. I don't know if I will ever use any doggy daycare again. read more

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG THERE! They claim to bath the dogs but she smells so bad I bet they hose her down and that's it. There is no way they used soap. I can't even walk in this place with gagging from the stench. The owner should have there license revolved. This place is the WORST place to bring a loved pet.. Hounds Town does NOT care about your dog, they just care about the money. Your dog WILL get sick and your dog will smell like feces, urine and ammonia.. and the ammonia smell is NOT from cleaning but from them permanently neglecting to clean dogs urine. I've been in shelters that smell better. The owner should be tied up and forced to sit in a cage. I bet they wouldn't be able to handle the smell. Im going to contact ASPCA and have them investigate this place. A dogs smell is 400 times more powerful than a humans and if I can't stand the stench..God help all those poor puppies that are forced to stay there. IF You are a pet owner and you smell the stench and STILL leave your dog there, you should be ashamed of yourself. My dog just went for his first day of daycare. I picked him up and he did great however he smelt so bad of urine. It was as if someone dumped urine all over him. My entire car smelt from urine driving home. I was disgusted. I had to come how and clean him the best I could. I find that to be extremely unsanitary and not healthy for my dog and will never be bringing him back there. I understand dogs get dirty at daycare but this was unacceptable. I should have went with my gut, When I first visited I smelt urine a bit too much however let it go saying its doggie daycare but now know it is not cleaned properly. When I called I was told they clean the rooms every ten minutes and use dry shampoo wipes to wipe their paws before they leave. Well, Those wipes don't work. I am writing this to warn others about my experience here. New owners and it's not a safe place for your dog. My dog had been going here for several years . She loved it and I was very happy with her care there. I had used the boarding, Day care and grooming there. They closed during CoVid and new owners took over and it is not the same. I dropped my dog off one morning before work and the owner asked me what did I want to do about my dog. I was like what do you mean? She told me my dog was aggressive towards other dogs and they tried different dogs with her. I was like what? I was shocked. I told her that I thought she was playing with xxxx a dog she had always played with in the past. My dog had been going there biweekly for six months now under the new owners. No one had said anything to me about this before. I found out they left my dog in a room by herself all day. Meanwhile I thought she was playing with her friends that she had played with in the past. Instead they were randomly pairing my dog with other dogs - not only could my dog have been hurt but other dogs as well. They never once mentioned any of this to me or asked what type of dogs my dog plays well with. Another gentleman there actually told me a few times that my dog was playing with her friend. There were always different girls working there and no one seemed to really know my dog. They put very few pictures and videos online of the dogs. My dog was in a picture every day under the old owners. The owners are not "dog people". It is clear they only want your money and are not concerned about the safety and welfare of your dog. read more

I wish I could write a better review because this seemed like the perfect place for our pups. I left my dogs there for a daycare visit to see if they were comfortable. They were happy...but my little pup came home wreaking of urine! Covered in pee...I had to come home and put them both in the bath. So I called and they said that after our overnight stay (which we had booked) they would give both dogs a free spa bath. So we picked the dogs up after their overnight and once again my little pup wreaked of urine and neither had been bathed! She was filthy! Completely unacceptable. Will never go back read more

No no no! This place is extremely unsafe for your dogs and let me tell you why! My partner and I have worked at multiple daycares over the years in all different state. Both of us have supervised daycares and my partner has been an assistant manager of a daycare. We know everything about dog behavior, dog safety, cleanliness, customer service, client expectations, dog evaluations, we have handled extremely dog/human aggressive dogs and been through the whole herd of it all! Today we had our "evaluations" at this daycare. We open the door and we are greeted with the strongest smell of ammonia, it sticks the whole 15-20 minutes we are there. We get in, get greeted and submit our vaccines and sign our stuff. No expectations or clue how this all works because no one explained ANYTHING! We just got put for a time slot on a certain day over the phone, asked if they were aggressive or have been around other dogs. This evaluation was us standing in the lobby and them bringing one random dog up to meet our dogs. I'm sure this was probably their best behaved dog. Both of our dogs were terrified and dragged trying to get away the whole time, which is our dogs own issues, but they did not even sniff this dog and they passed them! We waited around not sure what was next, we thought they brought them back to evaluate them more. I peaked my head in the puppy room which had pee and poop all in it and dogs were crying at the door. I asked a few questions and they told us they have 8 groups going a day and they're UNATTENDED!!! LIKE WHAT!!! They watch cameras at the front and have a few girls in the back doing whatever and they said they peak in to make sure they're good and to give them water. They don't stay in the rooms because the dogs jump on them and guard them. Okay..... that is that dogs issue and not how a daycare should be ran, TO BE SAFE for our pets. For the dog owners out there that do not know, if your dog gets in a fight and they don't notice for 20 seconds, they have to RUN back there and break that up. Which can literally leave your dog severely hurt or dead. I asked if they could watch my dog for a while before leaving her alone because I was worried about her being scared and getting snippy. They said they watched them for about 10 minutes to make sure they're good. OKAY, just to let you know, the first 10 minutes most dogs are getting to know the environment and are either scared or immediately playful. You can't tell how their behavior will change with these dogs with 10 minutes of watching them and then leaving them unsupervised. Where is the interaction to get dogs engaged? Where is the pet safety? The sanitation? The customer service? Never stepping a foot here again. It literally gave me anxiety to even think about leaving my dog there and I'm pretty chill with anything but this was a big NOPE! read more

They are the best! I was always a little nervous leaving my dog anywhere but they are amazing and make you feel comfortable leaving your baby with them. They post pictures constantly on their Facebook group so you can always see how much fun your baby is having. They occasionally have fun "paw"tys for your pets and give little goodies to go home with. My baby always comes home tired from all the fun he is having all day and it is great for his social skills. The staff is so friendly and trustworthy especially, Mike, Holly, and Jamie. You all are awesome and I highly recommend using them! Just picked up our pup from her first day of day care! My mom recommended hounds town to us because she boards our other two dogs there when we go on vacations. They offer a free day of day care when you bring your dog in for the first time. You just have to have all vaccinations up to date and be spayed/neutered. We brought her in for a "temper test" to see how she is with other dogs and then we were able to drop her off the next day for day care. Day care on the weekends is from 9-5 for a very affordable price. You don't even have to schedule an appointment, you can just drop your dog off. They allow your dogs to play with the other dogs In both and indoor and outdoor space. They are not crated, they are put in private rooms. You can also board your dogs over night if you go on vacation or away for the night. Prices are very affordable and much cheaper then hiring a dog walker/sitter who most likely won't be with your dog for the day. The facility is safe and clean for your pup and the staff is very passionate and friendly! read more

Two stars because my dog comes home tired each day. However, they must not be cleaning up urine very frequently because he comes home smelling of that horrible pneumonia-y smell. It's so off- putting that I can't even have him in the kitchen with us when we eat dinner. This is not just a normal dog smell from spending the day with other dogs. The absolute best doggy day care there is! The take very good care of our dog, we get to see pictures and videos when we are away to check on him and if he needs grooming - say no more, just let them know and his nails will be clipped or he will get a bath on the spot! He plays so much he is exhausted by the end of the day - which is great for us! Never had a problem dropping off or picking up - they are always there on the spot and we never wait. I've brought my dog in for boarding and day care to this location and another a few times and have not been happy. The staff are always really nice, but my dog never came back to me clean and was always crazed and had small bite marks and scratches on her. She reeked of urine and her coat was always really sticky and smelled horrible. I know you can get baths when they come home ,but 50 bucks for a bath is a little ridiculous to me. I would bring her straight home and bathe her and the water was always a light brown. I also was able to see into one of the areas where smaller dogs were kept at one location and nobody is in the rooms watching the dogs and making sure they don't fight with each other or just supervised in general. That one he poop and pee all over the floor and the dogs were walking in it . No wonder she came home all the time smelling horrible! I was told they are " watched" at all times, but that was kind of a lie, because it was not by someone being in there with them, they are "watched" from a camera in the top corners of each pen. How can you get to a fight quickly to stop it like that just from watching through the a camera!? I was very disappointed in that aspect and bring her somewhere else now while I'm at work and I'm much more satisfied because she is being watched in person and not coming home smelling like a sewer and with bites all over her :( I'm not one to usually write a review at all but I felt like this needed to be addressed at how unhappy I was of the services provided. read more

I will NEVER board my dog here again OR take my dog here for a play session again...NEVER! My 15 month old Golden Retriever was healthy when I dropped her off on Saturday-July 31st but when I picked her up on Monday-August 9th she was coughing when they brought her to me...Not just coughing, but choking coughing! So, I did what any worried owner would do and immediately brought her to the vet for diagnosis. He told me that she has Kennel Cough and from the sound and frequency of her coughing she did not just come down with it the day we picked her up. Rather, this leads me to believe that she had been suffering with this for at least a couple of days prior to me picking her up...Perhaps even longer. Good news is that the vet prescribed medication for her to take for the next 14 days to clear it up. The bad news is that it cost me a vet visit + medication. My Family and I feel so horrible that our beloved dog was suffering all the while we thought that she was being taken care of. Stay Away! read more

Although I appreciate the discounts applied to my pups' stay, I paid more for 9 nights this year under the new ownership than I did for 12 nights last year under previous ownership. Despite the unprecedented times we're going through, there was an increase of $22 per pup this year as compared to December 2019. Mike said he will look more into the numbers while we were away but never did, so yes I was a little shocked at the final price and I mentioned this to the girl at checkout but she told me that's what it is. Growing up my family owned a small business as they continue to own, as explained to Holly who emailed me only after my Google review because she was more concerned about my 1 star rating and satisfying her business than taking care of a long time customer. My parents would never treat a customer in this manner. Then I was followed up on Google with another owner simply stating this was the price and I was aware of it. However when I'm being told something from Mike and something else by another individual thru a Google response it makes the entire group not only look unprofessional but only care about their reviews than their customers. I will be more than happy to change my review if I was contacted about the issue rather than me having to chase down 3 or 4 people requesting that I, as the customer, reach out to them. I'm very disappointed in this service. Also when I explained to Holly about the nasal mites they came home with she simply did not care and stated that my pups were given beds and food and she woke up at 5:40am specifically for my pups, when you open up at 6am... This is part of running a pet hotel, it's your job so don't make it seem you've went out of your way for them. There's many positive ways to approach a customer, but for my pups' health we will not be returning regardless of the discounts. We found a more loving and caring place for them who are a bit more pricey, but very professional and actually care for my pups. Price was the primary issue among others, but I'm willing to pay top notch for top notch service because my pups deserve the best! read more
