If you're new to the area and looking for a safe, loving place to board your dog or drop them off…read morefor daycare--or if you've lived here for a while and are just searching for a spot you can truly trust--Just Like Home for Paws is it. I've been bringing my dog here for over three years, and they feel like family. From day one, I've had complete trust in them when it comes to my dog's health, safety, and happiness. The team is warm, attentive, and clearly loves every single pup that walks through the door. One of my favorite parts? Every single time we're in the car heading there, my dog knows exactly where we're going and starts getting so excited. Tail wagging, nose to the window--it's clear how much he loves it there. I can't say enough good things about this place. It gives me total peace of mind knowing my dog is being cared for like one of their own. If you're considering doggy daycare or boarding, I highly recommend Just Like Home for Paws. They're everything you could want in a second home for your dog.

The facility is welcoming, cozy and clean. I love that it's female owned and family operated! I was very anxious about boarding Sherlock over Christmas because he suffers separation anxiety, but after seeing the daily photos and videos my mind was completely put at ease. Sherlock looked like he was having a great time and it was clear he was being well cared for and getting lots of love & attention! Now I can go on vacation with no worries knowing that Sherlock is in great hands. He now goes to doggie day care weekly. And even though it's only been couple weeks, I can already see an improvement in his separation anxiety. I would highly recommend JLH4P to anyone looking for doggie daycare/boarding!

The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

She had plenty of tips and techniques and it was nice having her visit the home for the sessions to see how he is in that environment. Well at least you could give us a call, blablabla, make sure there s room, scolded me as if I was the business and she was the unhappy customer. And I Will leave this Doggy daycare if I am forced to go online to make a reservation. I'm eighty five years old and I cannot make reservations online. Please bring back the lovely young girls who always welcomed baby and Me me and everything we wanted was great by them Oh yes I left out that I left my last doggy day care. Because they kept insisting that I make my reservations online. When they knew I couldn't do it over and over. I couldn't do it. They had to help me but they kept insisting.

I never write Yelp reviews - but I wish I had read some before boarding my fur baby here - I felt…read morethis was important to share our experience. We will be only using the St Charles location moving forward. We have never boarded unless we had a townhouse with videos cameras - and now we have validation to why that is so important. We were out of town and our son, who is in the military, was called back early from leave and had to quickly bring our fur baby for boarding - and only "suites" were available. We were very surprised and disappointed by what we discovered at pickup, and are concerned there was neglect. There are no cameras in that area - so all we have to go off is what we discovered the day of pick up and the cameras in play areas - and that has us feeling horrible about what may have gone on. 1) At pick up we were handed back our blanket that was heavily soaked in urine. We had just driven 7 1/2 hours and needed to put that blanket across our leather seats. He should have had group play time until pick up. Supposedly he was let out the night before and again in the morning for potty breaks. He never has to be let out during the night to urinate at home and he has access to water 24/7. If he was let out in the morning and then went to playtime - why wasn't his blanket washed? And was that from the first night or second night?? 2) He was dropped off at dinner time on Friday and my son gave him his medication, but not dinner. My son told them at drop off that he still needs his dinner. There is nothing in the notes that they tried to feed him. The notes only say that he didn't eat dinner Saturday night. **Also nothing about his medication. The medication was bagged how they told us to do it - the pill in one baggie and the "meatball" for the medication in another baggie. Both were labeled. When we got home, we opened up the bag of his stuff and the "meatball" was in the baggie with the pill inside of it and squished. We were NOT informed that our dog did NOT receive his medication. This is completely unacceptable. Thank God it wasn't a life threatening medication - and I really hope other babies are not missing their medications. 3) We were over charged for an additional individual playtime that he did not do. I noticed it on our emailed invoice. I called and the session was credited back. 4) When we board at St Charles - they really do give you pawgress reports that are truly about YOUR pet. This stay - it said that he loved group play? I never saw him on the webcam which meant that he was off to the side the whole time and wasn't engaging. This was a blanket "report" comment and there was nothing additional. St Charles is so attentive and even gave suggestions for his next stay to help him feel more comfortable. We are really concerned that perhaps our baby was left in his "suite" the whole time except for the very short individual play time that I had thought would be longer than it was! 5) They didn't give us back his stuffed toy and sent me a text message about it 2 hours after we got home that I could come back to get it. I was not driving all the way back out there to get it - we will buy him a new one.

I stumbled across this place while driving down Rt.59. I used to take my little guy to Petsmart in Aurora, but I noticed he didn't seem to like it and would be really anxious when I picked him up. The staff was warm, professional, and clearly cared about the dogs as if they were their own. What really stood out to me was my dog's reaction. At other facilities he's hesitant, but here he was wagging his tail and ready to play the second we walked in. The next time we went back, he was literally pulling me toward the door, which says it all! The facility is clean, well-organized, and (big plus!) has an outdoor play area. My dog loves being outside, so having that option made a huge difference compared to other places we've tried. It's rare to find a daycare/boarding spot that checks all the boxes: safe, caring, fun, and reliable. Central Bark truly delivered. I'm so glad to be the first to share a review, because they deserve to be recognized. If you're in the Aurora area and looking for a place where your pup will be treated like family, this is it.
