I went to Apolda Kennels because it has been in our Aurora community for years now and I like to support local business when I can. Benny always is eager to come back home and we are happy to receive him nice and clean and we have never had any complaints from John. I'm seeing some of the other reviews on boarding and for that I can not speak on but whenever I go out of town my dog stops eating on his own and gets depressed. I don't necessarily think it's the Kennels fault for dogs not eating. It's also a service that has upcharge features, for extra walks, individual play time, etc., which can get very pricey and I can see people hoping that those services are included with boarding. I would recommend a dog sitter in home, when possible, to not stress your dogs out more by your absence.

The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

The entire experience was wonderful for my dog and gave me peace of mind. I appreciated their new customer process, which allowed me to leave him for a trial appointment of a few hours. That was just enough time to see how much he enjoyed being with the other dogs. While he was there, they sent pictures every night, and he looked so happy. I also reserved a bath before pickup and tooth brushing during his stay. The staff is caring and friendly and really get to know your dogs…read more I appreciated getting a friendly tour of the space (kennels included), as well as, the detailed questionnaire on the form and doggie audition to determine friendliness and comparability. I've only used the daycare "canine college." The space is HUGE (about 5x the size compared to our former Chicago go-to). It includes a nice indoor and outdoor area with a roll up door so pups can choose where they want to be. All dogs are mixed right now but they have plans to create a small dog area. There's a web cam to check on them during the day if they're inside and you get cute pictures shared via text after you pick them up. I really appreciate that the staff pays attention too. One of my pups is a senior and they let me know when her leg was shaking one day. Really makes you feel like they're watching out for them. The only two small downsides are that there's no discount for your 2nd dog and they're so popular getting a reservation is tricky. Luckily they're always willing to put your pups on the waitlist and confirm the day before if they have space for you.

He waits and cries at the door waiting for Thunder. It's been a great experience for us. When we travel, we also reach out to Thunder to board our dog. It's a great circle of trust, entertainment & support for our dog & us. We've been working with Thunder for several years now. He's a great guy and has a gift for working with dogs. We appreciate him and having him in our lives.

Thunder took my dog and my moms dog after a few aggressive fights between them. We also were able to customize his playtime to best fit his old man needs. Throughout his 2 days staying at the facility, he was treated with such kindness.
