We are buying a home about an hour outside of Bakersfield. Last weekend, I called several home inspectors and asked about their availability and procedure. Joe was incredibly friendly and when he explained his process for inspection, I felt he would be thorough and catch anything that might be a concern. He blew away my expectations! Above and beyond! He found so many things small and not-so-small: a barely loose tile, an un-grounded outlet watermarks in a tiny crawl space, a bathroom vent that vented into the attic instead of outside, etc.. He tested every appliance, heater, faucet, toilet, etc. He even found that the kitchen garbage disposal blew the surge-protector-outlet (I don't remember what they are called) AND that was the lead outlet for the rest of the kitchen -- so if it went out and no one noticed, the fridge would die! When arriving to go over the inspection, there was a lot of things that were missed. We've been our home for 7 days now and have already ran into two major issues. The electrical panel is out dated, with breakers that had amps than what were needed to be in there for what it was handling. The A/C had issues with it that was not caught. The dishwasher had issues that weren't found until we went to use it. I would not recommend House2Home to anyone. Joe, the inspector is a nice guy, but the inspection could be even more thorough with everything being checked for the amount of money being charged. read more
