He mentioned that he has been doing inspections in Big Bear for 37 years and he brought up terms and situations (weather specific) that were very insightful. He spoke with me about 20 minutes about the home inspection report from the other company. He did not have to do this but his genuine concern for my home buying situation was sincere. What was really cool about my conversation is I asked Bob if he'd be willing to inspect my property and give me his opinion on the total condition. Less than a week after closing, we pulled up the carpet in the main bedroom and found water damage. And after the storm last night, there is fresh water in the home. The wood framing the door is obviously water damaged and it was not mentioned in the report. Water was found under the kitchen sink. The wood beneath was warped, but dry. Rat droppings in a baking pan that was in the oven and droppings on the carpet in the living room.
