Amended 08/28/2023 After speaking to Traci over the weekend, I have to amend my previous review. The marble tabletop was installed today by House of Granite and looks amazing. It took an old mahogany antique bread table in desperate need of some TLC, into a work of art. I didn't realize the amount of color in the marble until after the sealant was applied and the overhead lights were on. The difference between the colors when the marble was on edge(vertical), as to installed on a horizontal plane were like night & day. Having only recently moved into the area(roughly a month ago), and still having a long list of planned, upcoming projects. This makes a couple of additions(bathroom vanities & kitchen counter tops) to our long list of projects. THANX Traci, Looking forward to some more projects in the future. It was a last minute ask as we thought the new one would fit, they fit us in same day when an opening came available and were very friendly and professional, even offered to haul away the old cooktop which is not their role. We recently had our kitchen and 2 bathrooms done with granite countertops and quartz stone in the shower walls. We decided on House of Granite because I like to give my business to local independently owned businesses. We stopped here after driving by many times and they had a nice selection of granite slabs to choose from with a great variance in price range. We were assisted by the owner, Danny who is a super nice and friendly guy. Also the head installer in charge, Saul is an artist in my opinion. The guy along with his crew do fantastic work. We are very happy with the final results of the work. At my request Danny recommended an outside construction business to help with installation of the sinks, bathtub, shower etc along with some extra work we wanted done. They also did a great job. I strongly recommend you do your homework on the types and colors of granite and the layout you want before shopping. We didn't and I guess it's my fault but I felt like we would get more design ideas and help from Danny. Nobody ever came out to my house to see what they were working with. I actually had to take all of the measurements myself and bring a sketch to Danny so he could figure out how much rock we needed. We sort of just picked our colors and fumbled our way through the process, but in the end we are happy with the results. Our kitchen and bathrooms are pretty small so it made the design issues very basic. Actually Saul was a big help when he was at the house taking all the final measurements before install. read more
