I'm extremely disappointed with my experience. I booked what was advertised as an all-over bleach/blonding service around $250 and communicated ahead of time that I had red hair and wanted enough time booked to properly lighten and blend it. I even emailed a week in advance and never received a response. Despite that, only a 2-hour appointment was scheduled. The service ended up being more of a partial highlight session, my hair is still overwhelmingly red, and I was charged around $300 -- more than the original full blonding service I booked. On top of that, parts of my ends are now snapping and breaking midway down the hair shaft, and overall my hair honestly looks worse than before while still not achieving the result discussed. I also tried calling the salon multiple times, including today, and the phone either went unanswered or directly to voicemail, which made it extremely difficult to resolve concerns or cancel a follow-up appointment. I understand that lifting red hair can take time and multiple sessions, but the lack of communication about timing, pricing, realistic expectations, and the change in service beforehand was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. read more

I had a really disappointing experience at House of Hebe. I went in for face-framing highlights and had a clear consultation where we agreed on red-violet tones. Unfortunately, the end result looked nothing like that. My hair turned out very brassy, uneven, and looked more like over-processed bleach than a toned, intentional color. It didn't look professionally done, and I was honestly embarrassed with how it turned out. I reached out to the salon hoping they would help fix it, but was told they don't take responsibility and that I could book another appointment. When I spoke with Erin and explained my concerns, she insisted that "this is what red-violet looks like" and didn't seem open to feedback or acknowledging that the result was not what was discussed. I was a little bit nervous because this was my first time getting a haircut in years and I had never been to her (or this salon) before, but she did a perfect job! So much Olga slander in these reviews, I wanted to share my experience: I have been going to Olga for 6 years now, I followed her from various studios because I found it very difficult to find a stylist who could do a blonde I like. My criteria was natural grow out, not to brassy or ashy, adds dimension, and made my hair feel healthy. Naturally after dying my hair for 9 years my hair is dry but I still find it to be very healthy and look great. I find that Olga is very communicative and friendly when I see her. I am a bit shy and awkward so I appreciate the casual conversation. The color always grows out well! I get a full balayage about 4 times a year. I would highly recommend Olga to anyone wanting to go blonde! The only reason I would stop seeing her is that her prices have increased since I began seeing her‍ I do think she is a very skilled stylist so I'm sure her price is worth it/similar to others, I just might not be her ideal client. She can be behind schedule but I've never been in a rush so it doesn't bother me. When she is behind schedule I have never noticed a worsening in her work, she does not rush and gets the best results for each client but that's probably why she continues to be behind schedule lol. I did get charged once when I wanted to get the color fixed after we tried foils instead which was disappointing but she was still very communicative and fit me in quickly. I also once got my hair styled by Liza and she was super nice and it looked great! I haven't n been to any other stylists but I ADORE the interior design and choice of colors. I had been saving for months and planned to get my hair done and it just happened to land on my birthday! I show up 30 minutes early and they couldn't find my appointment. This was already nerve wrecking because I had never been here before and now the system couldn't find me. I had plans on the afternoon too! They were so kind and understanding and Jordan came around the corner and offered to get me in even when he was supposed to be off. I came back and was treated like royalty! The attention to detail, the conversations about life and talking through what I envisioned for my hair. I almost felt like I should've dressed up to walk in but that's just my anxiety talking Everyone is greeted so warmly, I was seen quickly, fitted with a nice green robe and my hair cut, wash, and blowout was perfect and fast. Jason was my hairdresser and was very helpful for my situation. I have thick, wavy, frizzy hair that I have no idea what to do with half the time. I asked some very simple (possibly) stupid questions... and I appreciated his patience, knowledge, and transparency when giving me suggestions based on his many years of experience. Poor interaction with the front staff today. Moving to the area and wanted to check if they offered basic blow out services for curly hair. (Being mixed by hair is more curly so I always like to check). The front desk person seemed annoyed that I was looking to inquire. I asked if there was a stylist or manager that could help me understand if my hair type we work and she said 'we mostly handle White or Asian' hair. Worst experience. If your natural hair is dark and want lights AVOID this place. I paid just over $400 with tip. I was booked for full balayage & roots with Hannah, got half-head foil & roots. Had asked for my faded/orangish lights to be made cool blonde again. I was told by her I have "realistic expectations." I left with my hair TOTALLY burned & my base totally black. My neck/chin & skin on the side of face also black which took over a week to wash off. I reached out to complain about how EXTREME the damage was and how dark my hair looked instead of blonde. Who blackens the bleached hair to then add highlights?! I have had lights for 6 years and never has my hair been damaged like this. They BLAMED me for their incompetence for leaving to re-park my car!!! I was out JUST a few minutes, moving my car from the store-front to the garage under the store. Claimed I didn't communicate I was going out, I had told her when sitting down. I asked for coffee twice, it never came. Could her absent-mindedness be to blame for not remembering I had to go out for a couple of minutes? After many messages, they offered to cut my hair/K18 treatment to REDUCE the damage. I already had an Olaplex treatment elsewhere that had no effect. Why would I trust the same hairdresser with my hair again?! They refused a refund or a gloss. Only solution now is to get a pixie cut and wait many months and spend $$$$ to get my hair back to where it was when I walked in. read more

I've been to House of Hebe twice and both times I had a wonderful experience both with going darker overall and then getting highlights to go blonder. Salon is beautiful and the aesthetic is fun. My only complaint is the payment system! When I scheduled my appointment I wasn't sure what to request since I was going from light brown all over to blonde by getting some light highlights. The price was not conveyed to me at any point and when it comes time to pay, you go up to the front and the receptionist tells you your total verbally (no screen to show you) and also asks if you want to add a tip then you give her your card. In my case she read the total wrong (she said it was exactly $100 lower than it was, $2xx instead of $3xx) and I thought I was tipping ~25% since my hair turned out great. A few weeks later I'm checking my email and the receipt shows me that I only tipped about 14% because the total was given to me wrong. I felt horrible but so much time had passed that it felt weird to call and correct it. I don't know if they changed procedures permanently because the first time I paid on an iPad at my salon chair but I'd definitely recommend going back to that. Also be careful parking in the street. It's monitored and they will give you a ticket if you go over the 2 hours. read more

Before coming to house of hebe my hair was in good condition due to never dying it, I came here to house of hebe to get the mindset of a full balayage, I went to hair by Olga and she did the opposite of what i expected. She fried my hair and ever since my hair is not in good condition, She overtoned my hair on top which made it look like i have a extreme outgrow, which i did NOT ask for, She didn't listen to me and did the opposite. I've messaged her to reschedule and she never responded. I also liked to mention the fact that olga always starts late and is always in a rush to do your hair.
