Cute spot and nice atmosphere! I got one of the signature drinks, a wildflower latte. I don't usually like sweet/flavored drinks so I got it half sweet. It was pretty good, but I'd probably opt for espresso shots or a regular latte next time. I also got a blueberry scone. I like the flavor but it felt a bit hard and possibly slightly stale? Nice staff and a solid spot to post up for a while to get some work done! read more

A lovely very comfy place to work, have spiced in a warm mug chai and delicious date nut scone. What a Find! Super friendly bend over backwards to service which are extremely welcoming. We had a giggle, my second visit, ordering the same "Spiced Chai" came to me with Whipped Cream perfectly on top; OOOPPPSS I do not care for Whipped Cream, "NO Problem" your chai will come immediately, plus to my surprise a gift card for a free Spiced Chai in a mug! WOW that was unexpected. My scone, well .... perfectly warmed on a warmed plate with fork, and SMILES. This (free) WIFI cafe is set in a warm atmosphere, tables, comfy sofas, single high top bars all with plugIns everywhere. Topping all off with amazing service and deliciously served scrumptious foods. Only one item I wished for and as do some of the employees and customers, wishing the Cafe "Js Coffee" was opened till later, they do close at 2PM, yet not enough to take a star off. Went to House of Js for a quick coffee and breakfast before a meeting in the area. It seemed there may have been a bible meet up since there were several groups both large and small that were reading from a bible and talking about religion. I do not know if this is a regular occurrence at the coffee shop, but it took 17 minutes to get my iced americano which was a long wait for a coffee. Additionally, the coffee was not very good - almost all the ice was melted and left it in a weird Lukewarm phase, and it tasted almost burnt. I would not necessarily recommend. read more

This coffeeshop was not what I expected. It was so much more! Unassumingly located in a strip mall, house of Js is actually really cute inside, filled with lots of seating and people working on their laptops. Definitely the remote work vibes I'm often looking for, and now I'm obsessed. The line was long but drinks came out quickly, even on a random weekday. I got a large iced Wildflower Latte (what!!) and a Poppyseed Muffin. Both were tasty and refreshing. I only stopped by on my first visit but will plan some time in the future to come back and hang out. read more

We arrived just before opening on the 4th of July. They weren't open yet but waved us in when they were. We were helped by the owner. She was super helpful. We ordered campfire lattes from their seasonal menu. It was delicious!! Steaming hot in a mug while we relaxed on the couches. Very cozy atmosphere. read more

I had an Espresso Macchiato, solid but a bit too much milk...was more like a mini cappuccino. Three stars (barely) because of the service. Waited a while at the counter along with several others before someone acknowledged us to take an order...and they weren't even all that busy. Not a thank you either. My wife and I are new to the area. We have tried several coffee shops in close proximity to our new home, but HOJC was the best coffee and treats we found. Great coffee and food items, and a nice place to hang out if you have time to soak in the atmosphere. The staff is friendly and we have yet to have a ling wait to get served. Don't let the fact that it is located in a plaza and their outside sign is basic outdoor mall signage. This place is great. read more

Coffee is definitely the best I've had here (and I come from Australia - if you don't know yet many Aussies have very strong opinions on how bad the coffee is in the States and true coffee connoisseurs here know this!) but the coffee here is great. Cool coffee ship in a strip mall. It has couches, tables where you can enjoy your drinks and food. The space is pretty big and industrial but comfy. The staff was friendly and patient (especially with those parents not watching their kid who kept going behind the bar). The only downside for my experience is that I prefer not to drink my espresso in to go cups, if I am ordering in. Coffee was too fruity for me, but down the hatch it went. The burrito was bomb. Coffee aficionado boyfriend got drip coffee and said it was fantastic - the best he's had in Colorado since moving here 4 months ago. Caramel apple cider hit the spot! Favorite coffee spot since moving to Arvada hands down. The owner is so down to earth and the baristas are super friendly. They support other small businesses and being involved with the community. There's so many seating options, you can sit on a big chair and read a book/newspaper, bring a group and hangout at the community table, grab a regular table and play cards, or sit on a barstool in the back of the place. So, after a two week hiatus(due to snowy weather and morning family events), were are back on the coffee deliciousness trail!! Today's stop is HOUSE OF J's COFFEE . A little homey cafe seated in the middle of a bustling strip mall, not very bustling when we arrived at 8am on this brisk sunny Saturday but the pace steadily increased as we sat and observed the flow of people traffic. House of J's had an ultimate coffee house vibe.. mix of concrete floors, open industrial pipe ceiling and Oriental rugs with leather couches, round wooden tables, velvet clad arm chairs and rustic barn wood paneling. The staff is efficient and knowledgeable, just friendly enough to allow you to feel welcomed and enjoy the warmth of the environment without intruding on the relaxing aura of couch and coffee splendor. I ordered the seasonal maple leaf latte with a slice of the(gluten free) pumpkin bread and Tim had his constitutional vanilla latte with bacon breakfast burrito. My latte was truly busting with fall flavor, honestly the best tasting coffee I have had in our quest thus far!! The maple was obvious and I am very excited about it. Great addition to Arvada! This is in the shopping center with the new 24 Hour Fitness. I loved the spacious environment. Lots of seating, comfy chairs, couches, even a play area for kids. The coffee was very good and I liked their selection of pastries. They had lots of options for biscotti. Kid friendly drinks and snacks. Super friendly staff. Looked like a good place to work. They did have password protected wifi for customers. They did not appear to have hot breakfast options. I hope they branch out and provide those in the future. read more

I've been searching for a coffee remotely comparable this unforgettable coffee I had in middle-of-nowhere North Carolina years ago. When I lived in Georgia, I drove 4 hours to this random little coffee shop multiple times because thinking of this coffee would keep me up at night. I found it's close cousin at House of Js, it's the Blueberry Pie Latte. Unbelievable. I live in Boulder County but DEFINITELY will be coming back to Arvada for this coffee. First visit today, and I was thoroughly impressed. I'm from Portland, and I have high standards when it comes to independent coffee shops. This one checked all the boxes for me: Great nitro cold brew Smooth, well-pulled espresso shots (without even a hint of bitter/burnt taste!) We love their specials and if you sign up for emails you will get plenty of coupons. We are lucky to have this in our community. I was a little disappointed by their hours of operation since my son goes to Kumon next door in the afternoon but they close at 2:30 but I totally understand they are not a Starbucks, I just want to spend more time there! read more

This is my favorite coffee place in Arvada! They offer macadamia milk an as option (it's amazing), and they always have incredible seasonal lattes. I really enjoy the staff and the cuteness of this coffee house. I believe that most coffee places are all similar and many are trying to compete with a local Starbucks. I rarely find a five star coffee house only because for me coffee is coffee! However, I will say I find that this place does a good job trying to stand out from other coffee houses by the care they put into their specialty drinks. Small Marshmallows on the campfire latte is a great touch. Their toppings help make it unique. The effect is better if you stay and get their in-store coffee cup. I like this place, small and quaint with friendly staff. It isn't a WOW most amazing coffee house that blows all else out of the water, that is why it is 4 stars, but for the area it is a great alternative to Starbucks and I would highly recommend it as a meeting place, a simple morning treat, or a place to come enjoy some quiet time to read a book. read more

Customer service is lackluster. Staff seem disinterested or tired? At least when I was there. My coffee did take some time to make even though there were only a few people ahead of me. This will probably deter me from getting coffee before a work day since I'd probably have less time. More savory pastries would be nice too. Otherwise the location has plenty of parking and there's a lot of seating inside with a place for kids, which is nice. read more
