I do my hair with Sarah (owner) and had this appointment booked out for 2 months so make sure to get an appointment and an early one in the morning at that. My hair is very long and I've been doing color on my hair for many years so it took a total of about 4-5 hours to do full highlights but they came out amazing! I'm in love with my hair, it's like a bronde brunette color and it looks very natural. They use amazing products on your hair there, I ended up purchasing the shampoo and conditioner they used and I love it (I forget the name). The price is around $500 including gloss, without including blow dry which is a separate charge of $125 if I'm not mistaken. It's worth it. Sarah and her assistant were so patient with me. Color with Janine- 1 star, salon 5 stars. I have blonde and curly hair and my goal was to start incorporating my natural color (go from root bleaches to highlights). At the consultation with Janine, she said I didn't need any more bleach on my ends and that she could tone out the brassiness. I was excited, and explained as having curly hair, I do not want to bleach it any more. At our appointment, I ended up being late (the address on lyft is not accurate) and I apologized for being late, and she simply said nothing and we started talking about the color. I had prepared several photos of blonde hair to show her and asked if she wanted to look at pictures and she said no, I saw your message on instagram (that she never responded to). She talked me out of doing lowlights even though I had described the color I wanted which was more dimensional but blonder in the front. Throughout our time together she was rough on my hair and hurt me- you should never try to pull your fingers through curly hair before brushing it and she did. I noticed during the highlights that she was pulling it down my hair on parts that were already bleached. She said she needed to as it was brassy (mind you that's not what she said during our consult). I mentioned I did not want this to happen as I want my hair to remain curly and she made a quip about me being the one that's blonde. I told her yes, but it's only ever been bleached once (root bleaches). I don't think she knows how to do color on curly clients to prevent damage. I was then left at the bowl to process. She had an assistant check my foils, and my hair processed way beyond a color that would match the rest of my hair which is golden blonde. It was quite white. Additionally she could not tone the brassiness out of my hair. I was left at the bowl until she could come back and explain she had lifted me lighter than I was previously used to and that my hair was still brassy at the ends despite her pulling down the bleach against my wishes. We decided to tone me at the bowl to match my hair. I got my hair diffused by Jo who was lovely. I saw that my roots were still so white it looked very cool toned and looked terrible. Additionally, this level of lift is unnecessary and potentially damaging on curly hair. I waited as she curled another clients hair (I had been there 4 hours at this point). As she reached two other clients before me, I talked with the salon manager who began to help me problem solve. She was amazing, and at this point I refused to let Janine touch my hair anymore and another stylist Olivia did the rest of my color service. Janine apologized at the end. I appreciate that, but I would have much rather her had charged me a late fee or for the appointment and refused me service than than botch my hair while being rude. My result now is all over yellow blonde hair with little to no dimension and more bleach on my previously bleached hair. Exact opposite of all my desires for the appointment. Wish I had never let her touch my hair. The salon comped my appointment which was kind to do. I would go back for another stylist as everyone else was kind and seemed professional. Olivia seems to have much more experience doing color on curly hair. I had assumed Janine would be the best and I was completely wrong. read more

I really wanted to love this place. Firstly the haircut starts at 250. Mimi was nice but clearly over booked or had the habit of booking more than one client at a time. If I'm paying 250 I want your attention. She's really only with you for like half an hour total. Someone else washed your hair and gets you ready (which is normal for many salons). I noticed her doing someone else's cut while I was getting ready and settled in the chair but I had to wait a good bit. She did the initial cut and then left to start someone else's cut. In the mean time someone else blow dried my hair. She jumped back and forth from me to the other person doing touch ups. It felt very impersonal and just not worth that extreme cost. I ended up hating my bang section bc we kind Fl went half bangs half not but the half bang section was such a small section it was so awkward. They were very good about getting me scheduled to get it fixed though. All in all nice studio it's very wynnwood. Like that's exactly what you'll get. Expensive but not particularly worth it imo especially if you're only given a really small percentage of attention given the price you're paying. It may be I had a weird experience and this isn't the norm but it looked like a factory of getting people ready and only spending a small time with them with the actual stylist. I found this place because I was looking for someone to do a curly cut. One of my sorority sisters got her haircut here and I loved it so I knew that my next hair cut was going to be with Mimi. The salon is beautiful. I love the decorations you really do feel like it is a place where you are going to get pampered. I love how they offer you a drink when you walk in. I have never had to wait for my turn and I love how on time they are about the services. Mimi has shaped my hair and made me love my curls. It's crazy how an expert can make you feel confident about something that you were so insecure about. I love how she doesn't cut too much because I want to grow out my hair and how she listens to what I want. Also one of my favorite things about getting my hair done is when someone else washes my hair. I loved how they got in there and let me relax through the whole process. One of my besties and I both visited House of Mane last week for the first time (one day apart). We both received haircuts from Carlen Jones and were thrilled with the results. My appointment was this past Saturday; I arrived on-time and only had to wait a few minutes (rare for Miami salons). My hair was expertly washed by Linda and then it was time for the chair. What I appreciated the most was that Carlen took a long time to analyze my hair and dissect my previous cut (which wasn't great). He analyzed my hair from every angle and thoughtfully assessed his plan of action. Carlen explained in detail what the issues were with the way my hair had been cut previously and told me what could and could not be done. I'd taken a photo of a haircut to explain what I wanted and he told me honestly that although he could attempt to fix what had been done, I would have to grow my hair out a bit before he could achieve what I'd asked for. Despite that, I was very happy with the result and will absolutely return to see him. Although the salon isn't cheap, I felt the price of the cut was fair and the result was worth every penny. The salon itself is airy and nicely decorated. The staff are welcoming and I felt my patronage was appreciated (also rare for Miami). I am giving 1 star cuz CJ (cut) did great (also I don't think I can give 0?). First of all, booking with them was a nightmare in itself. They were super unresponsive/ hard to get a hold of. When I finally thought I had booked, I saw they booked the correct day in the wrong month. I had made the appt. via messaging, meaning they could see what day/month I had requested. Just lazy, sloppy and careless. I was with Olivia for color (simple roots and gloss). I literally had to tell her the formula my stylist in NYC used. Like blaring red flag that i need to tell you how to mix color/ you need that much help. Needless to say, after being different shades of red (copper, auburn etc.) since 2019, she turned me to a brunette. Didn't even match my roots to the rest of my head correctly...Worst part is, I think she used permanent dye. I resorted to writing this review as I tried to call the salon to resolve this, hoping they would correct it but they are not answering. This is your fair warning that you will spend hundreds of dollars just to be fucked over and not compensated after the fact. RUN AWAY. read more
