AMAZING! I was getting my mother's wedding dress redesigned for my wedding and I am so lucky to have found this place! I previously took it to another tailor who worked on it for months, but when she was finished I was not very impressed. The other tailor told me the things I wanted were not possible and she did not fit the body to my dress very well. BUT Roshan SAVED my wedding dress! She did exactly what I asked and exceeded my expectations. She's very kind and I felt very comfortable working with her. She caught mistakes and things the other tailor had missed or overlooked. AND she helped me pick out the right undergarments and accessories for my dress. Her prices are very reasonable (I paid more than twice as much for the first tailor who didn't even do a good job), her schedule is easy to work with, and she gets it done quickly. Roshan is located in Needham now and she is absolutely wonderful! My mom knew of her from her business in Newton and took me to get fitted for my wedding gown. She was very detailed, very calm and sweet to work with, and generally just put me at ease during the whole (X number of layer) process that took over an hour. Was I uncomfortable? Yes. But that's how this goes! Her office was clean and she played great music and chatted us up about everything and we felt right at home, my mother and myself. For a follow up, I needed to have my dress taken out a smidgen once I started to move around in it, and she did it in a snap - I actually had to work through the appointment we had and totally missed it, boo on me, so she made her best guess on what to change based on what my issue was, and I didn't even get to try it out! And lo and behold, everything FITS! I couldn't believe it. So thankful that she knows what she is doing and takes the time to understand her clients throughout this stressful process. Absolutely loved working with Roshan!!!! I got my wedding dress altered here and she gave me set prices. You have to pay upfront but she explains the pricing. I was very happy with the prices. We did 3 total fittings with the third being the final! I had my straps taken in, my hips taken in and very long Lacey train. Absolutely beautiful work she did. Weddings can be stressful, so if you're not willing to feel more stressed, just go somewhere else. My wedding dress looked beautiful, but the experience I had was so anxiety producing. With my postponed date finally happening with lifting restrictions, it was down to the wire. When I brought my dress in, Roshan asked my date, which I provided when I made the initial appointment, so I reminded her. She kept repeating, "why did I take you?" Apparently she was leaving for vacation at the end of the month. I was tempted to leave, but the dress was already on me and she was pinning. I even told her I would go somewhere else if she did not have time, but she said it was fine. As was stated in another review, she makes you pay 100% up front. When we started discussing pick up times, she gave me two options and said I could not come any later on that specific day. I had to ask my boss to leave early from work to get there on time. A couple weeks later, I got an email with a reschedule appointment for pick up half an hour later than the original time. She gave me a hard time about getting there, and then pushed it back anyway. When I arrived to pick up the dress, the first thing she said to me was, "didn't we reschedule?" to which I responded, "yes, you pushed the appointment back a half hour". I took the dress home and the fish eye hook immediately broke off. I didn't even feel comfortable enough for her to fix it. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Roshan was referred to me by the woman who sold my wedding dress. This woman was amazing so I assumed her referral would be as well.... this was not the case. Each appointment I had with Roshan had been rescheduled multiple times. Not only that, but she would tell me the day before so I would have to rearrange my whole schedule to accommodate her lack of scheduling abilities. On top of that, she would be late to appointments regardless of her rescheduling. One appoinment (October) I waited 30 minutes for her to show up. I had moved out of state and had informed her of this move, where she told me it would be no problem, she could still work with me. I decided to fly in for what I thought (and she said) was a final dress fitting. Again, she called the day before to reschedule, and I accommodated. I had paid for straps to be put on the dress, and this fitting was supposed to get the placement for the straps. She pinned everything and at the end of the appointment, she told me I owed her because the straps SHE created weren't able to work. She refused to give me a refund because "what she made didn't fit". Not only that, but she now has left me with an incomplete dress a month before my wedding. She was too worried about her reputation to continue with my dress because she knew she messed up. So here I am left with paid alterations and an incomplete dress and ZERO refund. I could add so much more to this, but I think if you've read this far you would be smart enough to go somewhere else. read more

Beware!! I was so disappointed and frustrated with the service provided here for my wedding gown. She worked at the bridal salon where I purchased my dress and came highly recommended by the salon. However she ruined my dress by taking shortcuts and not doing the alterations properly. I had to take my dress to another seamstress to have her fix as much as she could. But my dress is all lace, so many of the alterations Roshan did could not be fixed :( she was also incredibly rude to me and my mom. She rushed us through both appointments and even yelled at my mom to be quiet during one of the appointments. She insists on full payment prior to her services, so I was out a lot of money before I knew how bad the results were. I definitely do NOT recommend her, especially if you have a lace dress!! read more

So, this woman is ridiculous. At first she was amazing, so helpful this that and another thing. Then flipped a switch. She asked for 100% of the payment up front. This is my first wedding and I've called 5 different stores about how much they take upfront (all said 50%). My mom is helping me out and had to deal with this stuff. I am a teacher and can't be on my phone during the day. Anyway, so this woman took my dress to her shop and less than 24 hours later we decided that 100% IN CASH was unreasonable. Then decided to be wicked disrespectful and unprofessional. Sketchy. Telling my mom she's taking my dress hostage until she pays for 1 dollar per minute for the first fitting then 30 for cutting my sleeves off. (Understandable for the cutting the sleeves off). But then gives my mom two times when my mom can come get the dress and ONLY those times. My mom had to cancel meetings and leave work early. When my mom gets there Roshan gets up in my moms face and says don't worry I already called google and yelp to tell them to remove/not to accept my mother's review. We had to get the bridal shop involved who sub contracts her. Also not being able to take credit card or check? Suspicious. Also since she's said that I've take a screen shot of this review because she's threatened to take this down. Not telling anyone to not go to her but be ware. read more
