My go to place! Clean facility, dry cleaning is always done in a timely matter, and the guy that mans the counter is always friendly.

Simply AWFUL experience. My wedding dress was RUINED here. I brought it in with a few small fresh stains and got it back with the original stains still there, plus new large oily stains from their "cleaning attempts." On top of that, there were obvious new stitches added that hadn't been there before, and they didn't even remotely match the fabric or color of the knit. I also brought in a trench coat, which came back with all the same stains untouched -- honestly, for the best considering what happened to the dress. When I returned to show them the damage, there was no apology, no accountability, and no attempt to offer compensation. I had to request a refund myself. The employee handed it to me and simply walked away without even acknowledging the inconvenience. This place used to be excellent before the ownership change. Now it's an absolute mess. Please do not trust them with valuable clothing, especially anything sentimental like a wedding dress. read more

Brought in a brand new dress for pre-event cleaning and it was damaged. Poor communication and no apologies for the damage caused.

I brought in my silk dress for some small lip balm stains that occurred while trying the dress for the first time. The stains were very minor and I was assured that they would be easily removable. When I returned to collect my dress, the stains were removed but I noticed a very large thread had been pulled out of the chest of the dress that had not been there previously, as the dress was brand new and came into the dry cleaners with the tags still attached. I also took photos of the stain that had been there previously, and there was clearly no thread damage. When I asked about this, the cashier made particularly no attempt to apologize and did not offer any sort of refund, but stated I could wait several more days for the seamstress to "take a look" at it. I was nearly in tears explaining that the dress was for my wedding, but he did not reassure me at all and seemed to not care that they had damaged my brand-new dress. He did say I would not be charged for the repair. When I called to inquire about the dress the day it was promised after no communication, the man who answered the phone seemed aggravated and demanded that I come pick up the dress immediately as it was "probably already done" and hung up on me. When I came to collect my dress, the seamstress had not even addressed the issue and said that she was not told about the pulled thread at all. After fixing the loose thread, the pull was still somewhat visible and she said there was nothing she could do. After this, the seamstress requested $10 from me despite the fact that I had been told I would be receiving the repair for free. She seemed upset by this and had clearly received almost no communication regarding the issue. Overall, this was probably the most disappointing and upsetting experiences I've ever had at an establishment, and I would not recommend Star Laundry Club to anyone. read more

Do not use this dry cleaner! When I brought my sofa pillow covers here, I was told they would be cleaned and ready for pick up in one week. We paid upfront over $100 for this job. Weeks went by, and every time I called to ask for the covers, they would tell me "they'll be here tomorrow". This happened over and over again with no explanation over weeks. At one point I was told to come in to get them, and they still we not there! So I asked for my covers back, regardless of if they were cleaned or not- I just needed them back. They would not give them to me. This job ended up taking a MONTH and the covers do not even look cleaner than when I dropped them off. There was no offer for a discount or refund, no acknowledgment of their poor service, and no apology. I realized too late that all of their yelp reviews from the last year are 1 star reviews. read more

She clarified pricing, recommended where to park when we had to pick up and described how it worked as we were first time customers. It includes wash and fold, and she can clarify additional pricing for blankets, sheets,rugs etc as they are upcharged. Price: It was $13 per 10lb minimum and will charge $13 even if under 10lbs we had a large order so that was no problem! Even with a large order they had it done in about 3 or 4 days! I used the coin-op laundry here on a Saturday morning - it was quiet and the laundromat was clean and everything was in working order. The owner is very friendly - responsive on the phone and helpful in-store. He provided quarters for the machines in exchange for bills. I paid $6.00 for one load in the big washer (1 comforter, mattress protector, 1 set of sheets, and a small load of dirty clothes), and 2 dryers for 30 minutes each ($0.25 per 6 minutes). I've always had in-unit laundry prior to moving to Boston. Although it's inconvenient going to a laundromat instead of being able to do laundry at home, the owners are so kind and friendly that they make the experience more pleasant than going to a slightly closer laundromat. I used to live in a place with in unit laundry. Moving to a larger city meant getting used to using laundromats fortunately this place is very close to my apartment. Large loads are about 6.25 and you can fit EVERYTHING in those and loads take about 25 minutes to wash. The self service washes are a reasonable price and you can also have wash and fold services done as well. The woman who owns this business is a wonderful kind lady. I was always ridiculously impressed with how meticulously everything was folded and organized. My clothes felt brand new coming out of the plastic bags they package your stuff in.
