This place is awful. The doctor is nice, but the wait for glasses is completely UNACCEPTABLE. they tell you they will be in in 2 weeks, but it is 4 weeks now. And when I contact them, they tell me they have been trying to reach me, but when I check my phone records, there are NO calls from any of their phone numbers. They also have my email as well and they couljd send me messages thru their web site, but NONE of this occurred. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else read more

I was given the covid vaccine directly into the vein so it caused many issues. I explained this on a Google review, but can't respond to their accusations. They said I talked to One of the employees about smoking sensation? Even if that were true, why would I be telling an eye doctor about it? The main focus was to blame my vaccine brain injury on smoking! Even though pictures of my brain before the vaccine. Actually there was very little amyloid plaque on my brain prior to the vaccine. You can see the atrophy the vaccine continues to cause as it eats my brain away nightly. Most doctors, including eye, doctors and dentists are in bed with St. Luke's or some other hospital. Covering up vaccine injuries is not acceptable, especially when so many have been injured by a useless vaccine that did nothing. Dr. Newman retiring over a year ago has nothing to do with my statement. And I'm sure you know who I am. Let's not play games and lie on the internet. Covering up my injuries is definitely malpractice but I'm aware of how the medical system works today. Knowing what was wrong with me and not giving me the diagnosis, not even acknowledging. I've had annual eye exams for many years in Nesquehoning office. Every year they were prompt, courteous. Same goes for eye glass department. Eventually I was told cataracts were there and I knew it because my vision was deteriorating. Dr. Houser and her staff did a great job for me. Everyone was professional, procedures and results were excellent. read more

They gave me the false information that I can have my cataracts looked at and have my contacts ordered. Not only were we there for three hours to find out that no, you cannot get contacts or glasses there. Total waste of my time! I have to go back to my old ophthalmologist who is 20 miles away. This was not worth my time, energy, and effort! read more

My vision rapidly deteriorated,I could not even read my phone. I felt I needed an ophthalmologist. I got an optometrist exam like at a walmart. At the end I was told my prescription changed a little in the left eye.I canceled the glasses, and they wanted to charge me to get my glasses back.for me, it's 2 hours on the bus. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had in getting glasses. I had the young doctor and she was very good; she gets a gold star. The rest of the experience was terrible. The optical department is the worst. First, they don't tell you they are only open on Thursdays. Second, my two week glasses are now a month out and no one will pick up the phone. I physically have to walk over there every day to see if my glasses arrived. No one picks up the phone; no one calls you back, and then they lie and say your box was full. I get calls and messages all day long. No one seems to know where my glasses are, and no one seems to want to refund me the 400 dollars I paid for them. Been wearing glasses for distance since I was 8 & this was the worst experience ever. Made appointments for myself & husband (this was last fall); he wanted an exam & I needed an exam, new contact lenses & a new pair of glasses. I had been going to the "chain" eye exam places for years, but decided to change to here since I had a good experience in the Nesquehoning office years ago, and this time wanted a more thorough exam than the chain places offer. The young doctor was very good; she was thorough with the exam & helpful with questions. It's when I got to the optical dept. where it went downhill. I wanted bifocal contact lenses plus regular non-bifocal ones, and I needed an updated pair of glasses. The woman acted like I was a bother, didn't want to talk about glasses & refused to even look to see if there were any contact lenses in stock so that I could have a temporary pair. Even the chain eye exam places have contacts so you can have a temp pair until your order arrives. Anyway, she "forgot" to order my contacts & when they finally arrived, nobody called to tell me. I had to call several times, was told no, not in yet, and then was finally told "oh yeah, they've been in"-I guess I'm supposed to be a mind-reader! I received (1) pair of bifocal contacts & (1) pair of regulars which are supposed to be replaced after 30 days. I had made it clear that I wanted a full order (several months worth at least) of the regular contacts but never received them. Never heard anything back from them from last fall up until the other day; they're calling to reschedule an appointment they have for my husband this fall! We never made him an appointment for this fall, he has perfect vision & doesn't need to be seen again, and oh by the way, I'M the one who has distance vision problems & I'm still using the same pair contact lenses from last fall & have NO new glasses! Guess I'll go back to the chain eye exam places. read more

I was in the office on Rt. 443, on 8/24/22, to have a cataract removed. The Entire staff were very attentive, answered all my questions and did it with a smile. They made sure I had a snack post procedure. It was literally the entire staff that were fantastic. That's Very Rare. Please would you recognize this staff, they deserve it. read more

Today, I had an unpleasant appointment with Dr. Newman. He is arrogant, insulting, and rude. His condescending attitude and lack of respect for patients impedes a quality doctor/patient relationship. I will not return to this practice. read more

Never again! Very unprofessional Dr. Newman is the rudest human I have ever met! After trying to explain several times that I awake with severe eye pain he continued to speak over me. I was told to use lubrication drops for my "dry eye". (which I do daily). When I asked Dr. Newman if i could I possibly have a recommendation or a referral for a second opinion he became infuriated. Raising his voice and telling me I I should find a psychologist! His employees looked at him in shock as well as I, Dr. Newman then pointed at his employee and demanded her not to reschedule me an appointment! Horrible called for appointments went through normal questions went in and was not greeted with any hello or help for 5 minutes then told to fill papers out and asked for insurance cards. I was looking at eye glasses and told I wasn't allowed to buy those! There for a specific insurance group wtf. Then told they didn't take my insurance. Spent an hour and a half for my son and I for a regular exam. While we were in the waiting room a worker told me to have my 9 year old son start picking out frames. I told her he doesn't wear glasses and her response was, he probably will need them!!! Keep in mind, he was not flagged at school, I did not say he was having any issues when I made the appointment.
