I brought my daughter's dress in yesterday to see if it could be embroidered by Friday. The man helping me was nice enough, but he seemed all over the place. He told me I had to purchase a specific file on Etsy for him to do the embroidery, which I ended up doing at his request. He then told me he could guarantee it would be done by Friday. I came back today after getting the file made through Etsy. When I came in, he barely recognized me, even though I had spent about 20 minutes with him the day before. I told him I had the file and was ready to have the dress embroidered. He then told me he couldn't do it because he was now slammed with orders he had received since I last came in. So, I had just wasted the money I spent on Etsy to get the embroidery file made. Disappointing. What was interesting, though, was that when I entered the shop today, he was scrolling on his phone and didn't look like he had dozens of embroidery orders to fill. I ended up going to Apparel Up, and I wish I hadn't wasted my time at Shotzy in the first place. Apparel Up charged me half of what Shotzy would have charged, and their customer service was top-tier. They were also able to guarantee it would be finished by Friday, which was exactly when I needed it. Shotzy's embroidery business seems more like a side gig, so I think he should avoid guaranteeing turnaround times if he can't fulfill them. Go to Apparel Up instead!
