The boys said they are often fed food like hamburgers with zero condiments so everything is dry and lacking flavor- it would not be hard to add condiments options - just get some ketchup packets ?? ...as with any childcare they got sick far more often than they did not going to childcare the drive through doesn't function well the field trips were pretty good except sometimes the would drive so far away the kids were in the bus half the day and they said the bag lunches were always gross ... the field trips are hit or miss basically they did nothing educational at all during the summer - except the boys said they did do one page "keep it fresh" worksheets everyday but - idk not a lot of reading but there is a library but they said the kids don't choose to do it... either way it was better than them sitting at home on screens all summer

He was enrolled only January-March of 2020 while I was in nursing school. Before my son started daycare, I went a couple of times to ask about the daycare and one of the center directors (there's two of them, I believe) was nice at first. The first day that I dropped off my son, I thought it would be different. I thought that the director (Tameca) that day would be accommodating because obviously that was such a huge change that both my son and I were going through. I was in nursing school full time and he had never been in daycare before. When I got there, I asked Tameca if I could speak to her and she said "no, not right now" because she was talking to a teacher and I just thought that was so RUDE. I was so mad and it bothered me the rest of the day. I mean, you'd think your experience would be so much different on your sons first day of daycare. She could have taken some time to address my concerns but literally all she said "no, not right now" and continued talking to one of the other teachers. I dropped off my son and he was crying so much and I just felt so sad because I felt like our experience could have been so much better. Knowing that it was my sons first day in daycare, she could have allowed us both in the room and introduced us to the teachers (who I didn't even know or had ever met; I feel like it's important to KNOW who's going to be taking care of your child while you're away) and let him get a feel for it so that he could be comfortable. The way that everything happened was so abrupt and it just left a bad impression on me of the daycare. The only reason that I couldn't move him to another daycare is because I was on a waiting list at another center that I unfortunately was never able to enroll him into. If you drop off your kids early in the morning between the hours of 6:30a-8a, good luck. Your child will be in the "opening room" where ALL the kids (big and small) are placed while the other teachers get there. When my son was enrolled at Kinder Care, there was only two teachers in there with all of the kids. The child to teacher ratio was very disproportionate and I always felt very uncomfortable dropping off my child on days when I had to be at school really early because the teachers in the "opening room" were not nice or made you feel comfortable leaving your child in a room full of kids from all classes with only two teachers. I would hang around for a little bit because I did not feel comfortable and they would say things like "I got it" as if they wanted me to leave. I wish I had a much better experience but unfortunately, I did not. My son was sick almost every two weeks when he was attending daycare. There was a time when I got out of school early and went to pick him up and Tameca was there and she said she was just about to call me because my son had a fever after he woke up from his nap. When I went to go get him, he had a runny nose, green boogers coming out of his eyes and he was not his normal self. Certainly, they should have noticed some of these things throughout the day. It just makes me feel so bad because as a caregiver/teacher, these things should be noted and taken care of in a timely manner. It just didn't seem like all of the symptoms of an infection happened that quickly. I had to take him to urgent care right after picking him up and I just felt like the teachers *should have* noticed that he was not feeling well earlier in the day and I should have been called way sooner. The other center director was always really nice but I did not have a good experience with Tameca. It just made me feel terrible. The daycare always smelled weird and sometimes I would see that my son would have toys in his mouth and I don't know where else they had been. There's a KinderCare app where they send you photos and updates about their snack/lunch times and what they eat but it's all very standardized. Some days I would receive pictures and other times, I would not. Sometimes I wouldn't know how much he ate of his food because it would just tell me what was on the menu for that day. Remember this was pre-COVID so some of the things that I wrote, they may not do now (e.g. having all the kids from all classes in the "opening room"). It was not all bad but I will never be taking him back to KinderCare.

I tried them again despite what my husband said and two weeks later she had scratches on her neck and chest like someone grab her by her collar and once again they wrote up the incident and told me the same excuse as before; " she and another child was grabbing at the same toy", that was the last draw she no longer goes there. I should of called the police to get a better explanation than that...... my child had just made 2 had no experience with daycare, fighting or interaction with any kids... I feel she shouldn't have been subject to being scratched up helplessly. They have cameras but parents have no access to them not even to check on your children throughout the day. You think the money you spend with them you should have camera access to check on your kids what is there to hide? Was it an adult or child miss treating my child who knows but that explains why she was hesitant going inside every day. My grandkids had a wonderful time as they played games endlessly until they were worn out and tired! There were plenty of games, candy, food, and drinks! I strongly advise against enrolling your child at this Kids R Kids or working here…read more I was recently hired at this location and quickly realized it was not a safe or supportive environment for children or staff. From the start, I had major concerns. The first red flag was the director, Jenn. She was extremely unprofessional, disorganized, and outright rude. She barely conducted an interview, simply asked for my personal information to run a background check, then handed me a large, messy stack of paperwork with errors throughout. Nothing was stapled or organized. When I returned for training the following week, I met Michelle, the Curriculum Director. She was hostile and dismissive. She talked for two hours without offering any meaningful guidance, then sent me on a long break. Afterward, Jenn told me Michelle had complained that I "didn't ask enough questions" and that I "should smile more" because I came off as uninviting despite the fact that Michelle didn't create a welcoming space in the first place. Besides, the only time I remember Michelle smiling was at one of her own jokes. After that, I was placed in a classroom with a teacher named Miss Cindy, who was the only kind and helpful person I encountered. In just 30 minutes, she taught me more about how the center runs than I learned during the entire training. Unfortunately, Jenn then moved me to the infant room, even after I made it clear I had no experience with infants. I'm 18 years old and the youngest children I've worked with before were 3 years old. I had never changed a diaper or cared for a baby, and it felt completely irresponsible for Jenn to place me in that position. The staff member (6'3, plus size, freckles, lightskin with glasses)I was paired with in the infant room initially seemed helpful but quickly began to take advantage of me, assigning all the diaper changes and giving vague instructions without any real guidance. She also failed to sanitize toys or maintain cleanliness, I ended up cleaning everything myself after she left. The center is severely understaffed due to how poorly employees are treated. People are quitting weekly, which only adds more stress and disorganization. At the end of the day, I expressed to Jenn that I wasn't comfortable working in the infant room due to my lack of experience. She ignored my concerns and insisted I stay in that room for the week, which felt incredibly irresponsible and unsafe. As someone who cares about children, I would never want someone inexperienced looking after my own child, and yet that's exactly what they were doing. To sum it up: Jenn is unprofessional and barely leaves her office unless it's to complain. My daughter was 1 years old when she started at Brightmont and since I have noticed an abundance amount of growth. Not only is education top priority they thrive on providing kids with a family environment. Not only does every teacher and staff member, but also the director (Mrs. Keitoria) has a personal relationship with every student. My daughter is a toddler and every child in the class shows true ownership and independence. They're so aware that they recognize every parent and can connect them with their child. I appreciate the love, patience, and stability that are provided to my child. I am grateful to know when I am working my child is not only safe but happy.
