After seeing that one of the standard options had cottage cheese, I emailed the company to see if a vegan box was available. Within a few minutes, I heard back that it would be no problem. Yay, just what I like to hear!! Basically, you get a huge box of vacuum sealed Indian food packages with freezer packs to your door. You don't need to be home when it's delivered---just put it all in your freezer before you go to bed that day. (The packages are relatively compact--you won't need to clear out your entire freezer like you would with freshly). My first meal with red kidney beans was great. I followed the directions to a T (1.5 minutes in the microwave for the entree and gravy and 1 minute for the rice) and it was steaming hot. It tasted exactly like Indian food I've had at restaurants and friends' houses. I would fully recommend it! As compared to other services, I found the portions incredibly affordable. I don't know how to make Indian food on my own, so I've traditionally ordered vegan Indian food for $3/a can. I've also ordered takeout for ~$10-15 per person. This comes out much closer to $7-8, especially if you are not an especially voracious eater. Cons: One of the disadvantages is that the directions included with the package can be a bit confusing if you are not super familiar with Indian dishes. I didn't know exactly what the "gravy" was from the "entree" I sent this in the feedback form that rotizen emailed me, so I hope this will be included in future boxes.

First off, the quality of the meals is very good - near restaurant quality. I've tried most of their menu... my decisions vary from meals that I would not care to try at all to those that I order each and every time. A few of their meals have looked very appealing to me, but I've held off on buying them due to a high calorie count. But overall, I have never had an unsatisfactory meal from EatFlavorly. Customer service is very good in my experience, as is the communication. If there is an issue (which I've experienced a few times), they will get back to you within a business day and will provide you with a free meal/discount code to compensate you for any trouble. Another excellent feature of EatFlavorly is that there is no subscription required. You can order however frequently you would like, as long as you order at least 5 meals at a time. A final recommendation would be to check their menu on a daily or near-daily basis, as some of my favorite meals will go from sold-out to available, or disappear for a while and then reappear, seemingly overnight.

I've always enjoyed EatFlavorly meals, but this experience really showed me how effective their packaging and freezing process is. The quality, flavor, and texture held up remarkably well. Leave it in the fridge for a day to defrost, then stick it in the oven for an idiot proof dinner. Will try the Shepherd's pie next.

She delivers them to your door after you order online. Brilliant! She prepares it and brings it to you - all you have to do is heat it up. My favorite was the Shepherds Pie - and I have had the the pie at the Firkin & Phoenix Pub in Montrose and I'd have to say that Comfort is as good if not better. Plus it's almost have the price and I don't even have to leave the freakin house to eat it. Absolutely 100% worth the week it takes to deliver. Eat at home for once.

Evonna is so creative and a truly gifted chef. Also, she had to make a LOT of grilled chicken breasts for this retreat, and she always cooked them perfectly. In my book, that's no small feat. Food was prepared perfectly and came with a generous side of veggies. Meal came about 20 minutes before my delivery window. (7:30-8, food arrived about 7:10). It wasn't a problem for me but I could see myself racing home to meet the delivery. The quality of the food was above most other restaurants that deliver and the price was amazing. I love the fact that the menu changes and they don't try to offer everything everyday. The meal felt homemade - not overly oily or salty. I am a new mother who recently went back to work full time and I will be definitely keeping RAD meals on the short list for weekly meals.

This was the most confusing eating experience I've ever had. Supreme's gumbo looked like the perfect bowl of Louisiana heaven: nicely colored roux, all the expected floaties like shrimp, chicken, sausage. Nevertheless, the first bite provided nothing but disappointment. The gumbo tastes nothing like gumbo--maybe missing file and even missing some parts of the trinity! What gives? Anyway, we may come again for some of the other items, but their namesake will disappoint anyone who knows Louisiana gumbo. :-(
