4/25/26 Update AFTER Memorial Hermann and the office responded. Please shut up because I opened a case with EthicsPoint and you didn't do sh*t and Dr. Butler himself said it would not go anywhere and it sat since FEBRUARY with no update just as Kathleen Eberle, the owner did not give a sh*t and did not reply my email or return my call. They'll end up with a malpractice case soon because the care, abuse of authority, lying on providers, cancelling appts, claiming provider is not available is BS, this office is dangerous amongst our elderly population. I said I would add more proof and will. Only reason for 1 stars is due to me liking Butler's stories about his upbringing. In my 20 years in healthcare, this has to be in my top 5 worst workflow and medical care by any office I have ever experienced. It was never Butler's assistant - it is everyone else. If you have an elderly parent or loved one, at the first sign of BS, start working on finding another neurology office. I get it, sometimes it is hard to get into neurology but schedule elsewhere while being treated at that practice until your appointment with another neurologist comes around. I lost count of how many offices said "No comment" about that practice. For one, that hippo/boar hybrid Helen Muniz they hired as a manager is a liar that tries to abuse authority and as Dr. Butler said, Kathleen Eberle (the owner) don't give a damn, reporting to her is a waste of time. I won't say what else Butler said but turns out he is correct, I got her email and phone from my BIL, a Memorial Hermann provider. I also printed those Mychart messages and showed Butler and he said to ignore and said I should ignore Helen Muniz. That Helen Muniz an evil, miserable cloud couch. The worst her attitude becomes then the more weight she gains. Check out the message from that bear/infant elephant hybrid Helen Muniz sent to me after she decided to include herself into something that had nothing to do with her, not realizing I recorded myself every time I stepped into that office and recorded every call. I initially started recording due to the CONSTANT appt changes prior to my first visit and needed to show my job my efforts. With my initial visit, I had been scheduled for 2 months with them calling and canceling on a Friday before closing, via voicemail. I am glad I did recorded because Dr. Butler does not document anything, even medical records, Lindsey T said how annoying it was. That clinic despise MyChart messages because all they do is lie and prefer to play phone tag - I stopped answering calls and said to message me via MyChart. Butler does not document anything and yet you're left to defend yourself against the staff. He wouldn't even look at records. It took for me to take records back to him at the instructions of another MD before he looked at records. Even with paperwork, the staff intentionally documents the wrong stuff. The BS stopped, started, and stopped again when I made my attorney boyfriend my emergency contact. I reported that 3bedroom house named Helen Muniz to the nursing board as well due to entering an exam room acting on behalf of the MD, not realizing she was being recorded with Butler saying he has no reason to even talk to her about his patients. I asked for her superior FOUR times and she ignored me, with Lindsey T in medical records lying for her as well. I also started my process of reporting this office to every entity I can think of as well. Then I dare them lie and say I was a problem patient because if so, why would Butler offer me a medical school letter of recommendation without me asking? I respectfully declined three times due to not liking the care I received and I think he was offended so I cancelled all upcoming appts. Two of the appt I was unaware of having. That was another problem, scheduling appts without informing me, knowing some of the appts don't show up in the portal. It happened multiple times. I'm a new patient and not sure why Cynthia would schedule me in this office as it's over 45 minutes from my home. I got lost and the staff didn't tell me which building the office is actually located in once you arrive. When I did make it to the office the receptionist I think her name is Sandra or Sonia but her last name is Sanchez was unfriendly and unprofessional and wanted to take my picture without my consent. I did eventually see Dr. Eberle who was nice and professional. I left and was instructed to make an appointment for PT and the location Dr. Eberle referred me didn't have accompanying hours. I called the Pearland office and Sandra who GOD forbid take a message seemed bothered and told me to send a message through the portal. Again, new patient and I called the office and left a message for Jesus or Dr. Eberle to call me but it's 9PM and no returned phone call or message on the portal. This is why Sandra or whatever the LAZY lady with the last name Sanchez will be replaced by an AI before 2027. Unacceptable patient service!! read more

Doctor prescribed meds that after reading warnings, elevated glaucoma conditions. I listed glaucoma on my records. Tried calling to talk to assistant or doctor. (3 different messages left). never received a call back. Did not take med and found a doctor not with this institute. Called and spoke to a lady with appts and canceled all appts. Now, month later receive a text for an appointment that should have been canceled. Says a $75 no show fee will apply if I do not show. How the heck do you cancel? This place is horrible! The ONLY reason I'm giving this place two stars is because I have liked my doctors so far. My experience with getting an appointment for my Botox injections has been nothing less than ABSOLUTELY ASININE. I called BACK IN MAY to make an appointment to receive my injections. I was informed, after being bounced around for a few days, that an office visit was first needed as it had been over a year since I'd been seen. I agreed, and then they told me that Dr. Eberle was booked solid until AUGUST. I was NOT happy (obviously), but what could I do? I made the August appointment and was also put on a list in case something opened up sooner. I never managed to get in over the summer. The beginning of August rolled around, and I noticed the messages from their office had stopped, so I called to confirm my appointment with them... ...ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT I WAS NOT ON THE SCHEDULE!!!! They asked me who I'd spoken with back in May - like I remember that!!! I told them I'd been receiving texts from their office all summer to try and get in sooner than my SET AUGUST APPOINTMENT. They apologized a few times. Was I given a NEW appointment?? NO. Was I squeezed into the first available slot that worked for me like MOST offices do when THEY are in error? NO. I was placed BACK on the waiting list and told to call in when I received a notification of an appointment that worked for me. My Migraines are returning now with more frequency, and I told them that. I am beyond angry and frustrated with this office. read more

I have been with HNI since I moved to Texas several years ago. My providers are Dr. Eberle and Jessica Hanson, and I have found them both to be exemplary examples of what a compassionate practitioner should be. I suffer from chronic migraines and have for more than half my life; these two are among the best I've ever been treated by. The practice overall is professional, efficient, and willing to ensure I'm seen when I need to be, even if it's not one of my routine appointments and they have to fit me in somewhere. I'd recommend them to anyone who needs a neurologist for any reason, but for migraines in particular I can't imagine anywhere better! read more

Dr Monday at the Houston Neurological Institute has been treating me for migraines for at least 10 years now. Before I found her, my migraines were debilitating. Dr Monday listened to my history, ordered appropriate tests to ensure she is covered any other issues, then tried different approaches until the best solution was found. Within a year, she found solutions that have kept the migraines under control and gave me my life back. I highly recommend her. read more

This is the worst place I have ever been referred to. From the , beginning in May. I was rudely told by a reception on the phone when I could not produce my insurance number that moment. (it was in my billfold) that I had to have a referral in writing for an appointment and hung up. Frustrated, I called my DR and was told that it had already been done electronically. Expecting a callback from HNI, I waited for 10 days. I then called and was received by the same associate. After some snappy responses, I got angry and asked for a supervisor. I was given another number to call which was incorrect, I called back and was received by another associate who was very nice and I asked for a supervisor. She was able to help me and I found I did not need an authorization. She made an appointment for me which was next available 30 days from that date. Then to wait 30 days for an appointment.....I sat in the lobby for 3 hours. I was tired of waiting.( several other patients had come and gone while I sat) and went to the desk to either give me a time frame to continue to sit or cancel my appointment. A few minutes later I was given a room to sit in...... for another 1 hour to have a 20 min visit. During that time, an admin came in to hear my plight and said I somehow fell through the cracks and apologized. I was scheduled 2 weeks later for a sleep test. I was then told that results would take 5 days to have them sent out to have them reviewed . 10 days later I called to see if they had been looked at to find 1. the in house doctor looks at the results 2. they had been reviewed and sitting on a desk and for several days with no callback. That time, I talked to another supervisor about the lack of office duties and my insurance was about to change. This was going to cost me a substantial amount more. I was told I needed to scheduled for another test with the CPAP and had I could be put in a slot for the next week. I had the expectation of the same occurrence on receiving results. During the test I complained of chest and throat irritation and it was waved off. After week of feeling very ill, I called the HNI DR to see if this was normal. It was waived off as a case of possible bronchitis and it should pass. During our conversation, I found the results had read been and I had to push to see what type of machine that was prescribed and what supplier it was to be purchased from because of now insurance concerns. I missed the enroll date. Now I have to pay a lot, I also ended up at my Primary to find I contracted pneumonia.180.00 there. The final straw is when a couple of days after the machine use, I called the supplier in need of a chin strap. A week later I called back and was told they had faxed HNI for a prescription and were waiting for the reply. Today, I called them again and they said they sent another fax and were waiting for a reply. This time, they called my primary for the strap In the mean time I am suffering from sever dry mouth and sore throat and will not use the machine that cost me so much. This started in May... It's a shame to have a neurologist treat you and your family as just a routine in her schedule. As a professional she should listen to the medical issues and requirements that need to be addressed. Instead she's in a rush during the appointment showing no sensitivity, compassion or concern while speaking to you in a condensing arrogant tone of voice. I would never recommend her services. read more

The staff at HNI is friendly and always so attentive to my needs. The office has been recently updated and is clean, comfortable and spacious. It's nice to get to a doctor's office and walk right in the front door instead of riding elevators and searching building directorys. read more

They do give preference to "new patients". Then you wait, up to 3 months for an appointment. There is NO sense of urgency for anything except money. After two months; no diagnosis. Dr. Eberle mismanaged my insurance resources, causing delay of important testing. Testing was not done in the correct order. She does not listen. All they want is more & more patients to milk their time & money. AVOID!! read more

I would not recommend Houston Neurological for a sleep study. I met with Dr. Fayle in the Pearland location on May 9, followed by sleep study on May 22. The attendant during the sleep study was fantastic! I called three times to get my results and Dr. Fayle had not reviewed them yet. On June 8 Angela called me back with the results of severe sleep apnea. I was to come back for another sleep study with a CPAP (which was delayed with my being out of the country for 3 weeks), but I had the second study on July 25 with an awesome attendant. I was told that I would hear within 2 weeks. I did not hear from Dr. Fayle's office, so after 2 weeks I called Angela again. She called back to say that I need pressure 9 and I have been referred to the CPAP company. Now it is 7 weeks after the 2nd sleep study -- and no word about when I might get a CPAP. Guess I need to start calling again and beg for information or at least documentation and a prescription so I can go elsewhere. This is so unfortunate! read more
